Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love -
Chapter 282 Quarrel With Each Other
As soon as Doris opened her eyes, she saw that Jay was looking at her viciously.
The fire in Jay's eyes made Doris feel flustered and short of breath. Her throat was dry, and her embarrassed, little face flushed.
Jay's eyes were like poppies. They made people fall in love with him with a single glance.
Doris realized that she was about to lose her senses, so she shouted, "Jay, shut your eyes, and don't look at me!"
Jay narrowed his eyes with a smile while his thick and long eyelashes kept shaking. Ah, he was like a devil!
Doris tried to force herself to look away, but then she looked at Jay's tall and handsome figure.
Unconsciously, Doris unbuttoned Jay's shirt.
Doris' action was gentle and soft because she feared that she might touch where she shouldn't. However, what Doris didn't know was that her soft fingertips were the most deadly attraction to Jay.
"Lift your foot." Doris hung his suit pants aside. When she breathed a sigh of relief and felt that the thing was over, Jay-without warning-opened his eyes. The red color at the bottom of his eyes indicated that he couldn't endure this pain any longer.
"Jay! I'm pregnant. You have to remember that."
"I know!" said Jay in a grouse.
After giving Jay a bath, Doris made the dinner attentively.
Doris watched Jay finish the meal with relish.
Well, now Doris felt that she was just a maid, and Jay was the prince.
A mischievous smile appeared on the corner of Jay's mouth.
"Jay, you said that as long as you smile, you'll be happy. Now you can ask President Hobart not to fire Owen?" asked Doris.
A playful look flashed across Jay's bright eyes. "Neither did I smile, nor did I feel happy."
'What a bastard! He broke his promise!' Doris thought.
After thinking for a while, Doris said, "It will be okay as long as you smile, right?"
"Yes." After wiping his mouth gracefully, Jay stood up and left the dining room.
Doris hurried to catch up with him.
After washing his face and brushing his teeth, Jay walked into the bedroom.
Doris walked in and stared dead at Jay.
"What's wrong? Why don't you sleep?"
"I want to see you laugh. And in turn, let Owen go," said Doris.
"Sure. How are you going to make me laugh?" asked Jay.
Doris put her hand under his arm and began tickling.
"You're breaking the rules, Doris. Hey, stop!" Jay tried to grab her arm.
"Ah, stop! I have a stomach ache!" Doris frowned and shouted.
Jay was so scared that he didn't dare to move.
Then, Doris was triumphant in tickling his armpit a few more times. Finally, Jay couldn't help laughing.
"You laughed!" Doris clapped her hands, thrilled.
"Okay, before that, promise me that you won't lie to me in the future."
"If you don't lie to me-of course-1 won't lie to you!"
"I won't lie to you. That Libby..."
As soon as Doris heard the name 'Libby,' she became angry. She picked up a glass of water and put it above Jay's head.
"I almost forget that you lied to me for the sake of Libby. I swear, if you don't let go of Owen now, I'll go all out to fight with Libby!" With her eyes wide open, Doris raised the glass and was about to break it on Jay's head at a moment's notice.
'Alas, how can this woman be so savage even when she is pregnant?' Jay thought.
"You put it down first. Put it down, honey." Jay compromised.
Doris snorted, "If I don't show my true colors, you will think I'm some sick cat."
"You are a nocturnal cat, not a sick cat!" said Jay.
"Do it. Now," Doris said as she grabbed Jay's phone.
Jay had to call Charles and ask him to tell Hobart to let Owen go to work.
After ending the call, Jay looked at Doris and asked, "Are you happy now?" "No, I'm wondering if you have a crush on Libby," Doris said with her hands akimbo and a deadpan expression.
"What? A crush on Libby? There were so many women around me before, but I didn't like any of them. How could I like Libby? Are you kidding me?" Jay rolled his eyes at her.
All of a sudden, Jay realized something and said, "No, this isn't right. You should be the one serving me. Why are you questioning me now?"
"No, it's you who did something wrong and felt guilty. Humph!" Although Doris pretended to be angry, there was nothing but happiness in her heart.
One day, Charles drove Nancy and the children to the Cloud Lake Community.
It was a weekend. It was rare for them to be free. Accompanying the children to planting and fishing seemed like a good idea for some entertainment. After Nancy and Charles had dinner, she decided to check on the children.
Seeing the children playing, Nancy went to wash the bowls and chopsticks. When she came back, she saw Charles reading documents in the study.
Then she came over.
"What are you reading?" Nancy asked.
Charles raised the file in his hand and said, "This..."
"Well, I have something to discuss with you," said Nancy, interrupting Charles mid-sentence.
"What?" asked Charles and placed the documents down.
"It's about Jessie."
Today, Nancy saw a selfie of Jessie in her WeChat Moments. Her hair was in a mess, and her face was dirty. She looked very dispirited.
What worried Nancy the most was what Jessie had said, "Is an unfair life, worth living?"
What was Jessie trying to say? Was she going to commit suicide?
Therefore, Nancy felt that Jessie's punishment in the hospital was a little too much.
"What's wrong with her?" Charles asked again.
"I think that as long as she gives the extra money back to the patient, we should give her another chance. In fact, Anna is not even as good as Jessie."
"But Anna didn't ask for the patient's money!" Charles raised his voice. His face tightened, and his eyes dropped; he was angry.
"Yes, Anna didn't ask the patient for money, but it doesn't mean that her moral standard is higher than Jessie's. Moreover, our hospital needs pediatric doctors now. If she leaves, it will be a loss to the hospital!" Nancy argued while slamming her hands on the table and looking into Charles' eyes.
"I will discuss with President Hobart about hiring more doctors for the pediatric department. I refuse to believe that the department won't work without Jessie." Charles was a man of principle. What Jessie had done crossed his bottom line.
He couldn't stand it anymore.
"Charles, why are you so stubborn?" Nancy seldom lost her temper, but now she really couldn't help it.
Charles took the unfinished painting over and said, "Nancy, if you have nothing better to do, just finish this painting as soon as possible."
Nancy got goose bumps at the sight of the painting.
She pushed the drawing board and said, "No!"
"Aren't you stubborn too, Nancy? Is it that difficult for you to finish it? Or is there a secret hidden in this painting?" Charles said while nearly shoving the painting towards Nancy.
"God knows from where you got this painting? Your lover? Oh, I see. It must be Lilian. Humph, that's it. If you have the ability, Charles, ask her to complete this for you!" People would become irrational when they get angry.
In her anger, Nancy became completely unreasonable.
