Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love -
Chapter 283 Tear The Painting Apart
'It is obvious that Nancy made that painting. All I want is for her to confirm my guess. Why is that so difficult for her?' Charles wondered.
He rolled his eyes and said in a petulant whine, "Yes it was drawn by my lover, Nancy. Are you jealous?"
'Your lover, huh?' Nancy thought.
"Charles, you really know how to enjoy yourself, don't you? Maybe you should go out and get your lover to make you another one!"
After she said that with hard-staring eyes, Nancy tore down the painting into little pieces.
"Nancy!" He looked at all the pieces of paper on the ground with a face contorted in a venomous outburst. His eyebrows were tightly furrowed, while the veins on his forehead protruded. He forcefully grabbed Nancy's by her arm and yelled. "Nancy! You need to make me another one!"
"No!" Nancy shouted with complete resolution.
"You..." Charles muttered while he gnashed his teeth in anger. He shook off Nancy's arm and strode out.
Nancy also wasn't in the best condition. She sat on the rotating chair, red in the face, and drank all the coffee from the desk.
'Why is this woman claiming that I have a lover?
Lilian?
How could this woman just misunderstand me like that?
Most importantly, she ruthlessly tore up the painting that I treasured the most?'
He had been anticipating the day that her painting would finally be completed.
Nancy was so cruel.
Even when she knew everything, she wouldn't say a word. It was like she simply enjoyed watching him suffer.
Being the dignified man he was, Charles felt like he was being mistreated.
Strolling unconsciously, he seemed to have ended up driving all the way to Dream Bar.
Because of all the frustration he was feeling, he just wanted to take his thoughts away and grab himself a drink. It was probably because he had been here before, so now he was able go there subconsciously, without having to think about it.
Charles knew that Jay was tied up because of Doris, so he figured it would be better to give Hiram a call instead. When he called, he asked him to come to Dream Bar and gave him the address. Soon enough, Hiram arrived.
He entered the private executive room only to replace Charles sitting with a sullen expression, drinking all by himself.
"Is everything okay, Mr. Fu?" Hiram asked.
Charles pointed to the seat next to him and said, "Sit down and have a drink with me."
"Okay." Upon taking a seat beside him, Hiram continued, "Did you have a fight with Miss Ning?"
Charles rubbed between his furrowed eyebrows, clearly looking annoyed. "No, I didn't," he answered.
In that moment, he realized there were just some things he could only share with Jay.
Hiram was just his bodyguard, so Charles had never developed a personal relationship with him. Besides, Jay was his best friend.
So Charles ordered, "Call Jay and ask him to come here. II
"Okay." Hiram proceeded to bring out his mobile phone to call him.
As soon as Jay had finished coaxing his wife, his phone suddenly rang.
"Hiram?"
"Mr. Fang, Mr. Fu is here in the Dream Bar. He wants you to come over here," Hiram whispered.
Jay glanced back at the sleeping woman who was lying right beside him. If this woman found out that he went back to the bar, she would probably kill him.
However, he was having a hard time falling asleep. He was dying of boredom from lying here.
After a short contemplation, he sneakily got out of bed.
Besides, Doris was fast asleep. By the time she woke up, he would already be next to her.
Much to his surprise, Doris seemed to have woken up from a light sleep.
"Where are you going, Jay?" Doris asked, still halfasleep.
"Oh, I'm going to the bathroom." When Jay heard her voice, he was immediately disappointed. Knowing that Doris had woken up, he thought that he had lost his chance of going to the bar now. "Then hurry up. You better not try to do horrible things behind my back again!" she whined.
"I..." sighed Jay defenselessly.
Hiram was still on the other end of the phone, so he said, "Mrs. Fang! As soon as I heard your voice, I could already tell that you're a good tempered woman. It now doesn't come as a surprise that Mr. Fang often praises you, calling you smart, beautiful, virtuous, sensible, kind and elegant."
Hearing Hiram's clever manipulation, Jay wanted to burst out laughing. However, Doris felt completely different about it. Her eyes widened as she looked straight into Jay's eyes. With disbelief, she asked, "Did you really praise me that way?"
"Of course. But what I said wasn't a praise, as you really are such a woman. Aren't you?" Oh, my god. What a liar!
Even though Doris was a good woman, she was definitely not virtuous or sensible at all.
Doris felt as though her heart was going to burst in joy. "I didn't expect you to say such things about me," she said.
"Of course! By the way, Charles is currently at the bar and had asked me to come. Are you okay with me coming over or not?" Jay asked her cautiously, noticing that Doris was in a good mood.
Doris bit her lip with hesitation.
"Mrs. Fang, our CEO really had asked Mr. Fang to come over. Being the considerate and understanding woman that you are, you wouldn't stop him right?" asked Hiram.
There was no way that Doris could stop her husband from going out after she was complimented this way.
"Sure, go ahead!" she said with a generous smile.
"Oh, you're going to let me go? If only I had known that Hiram's words would work on you, I would have asked him to call me earlier!" Jay said with a huge grin on his face.
She only glared back at him.
"Good girl, go back to sleep. I'll be back soon enough!"
Jay said before he proceeded to grab his clothes and leave.
Watching her husband's figure walk out the room, Doris tucked herself under her quilt. The refreshing aftertaste that Jay left lingered in the room while Doris lay down comfortably with a ripple of ease in her heart.
Suddenly a realization came over her, so she sat up and yelled, "Jay! You better not be seeing Libby again!"
Unfortunately, by that time, Jay had already started his car and left the courtyard. He drove straight into the Dream Bar.
Even though he had no intention of looking for Libby, he found that both Libby and Lilian were already in the private room.
In the past, Charles had never asked any woman to accompany him whenever he came to the bar. Jay wondered what was wrong with him today.
"What are you doing there, Jay? Sit down here and drink with us." It seemed that Charles was indifferent based on his casual tone.
"Okay."
Jay went on to sit down and held Libby in his arms. "Hiram, you seem to be having a good time tonight!"
Hiram simply winked at him, implying that it was not him who asked for these two women.
'What? Was it really Charles?' Jay wondered.
"Well, I did a good job praising your woman for you earlier. Mr. Fang, you should be thanking me tonight," Hiram said ruefully with a smile.
The moment that he mentioned Doris, Jay pushed the woman in his arms away. A contrite expression appeared on his face and he said, "Doris really is a virtuous woman. I've always known that."
Jay sat up straight and continued, "Libby, get me some wine."
"Of course," replied Libby with an enchanting smile.
Libby raised her eyebrows charmingly, picked up her goblet and clinked it with Jay's.
Since Jay walked in the room, Charles had remained silent.
With a dark, gloomy expression and a frown etched on his face, Charles smoked one cigarette after another.
Lilian politely sat beside him, looking very cautious about her movements.
Jay watched them, utterly confused. 'Has Charles really fallen in love with Lilian? Did he come all the way here at this time, just for this girl?'
"Charles, you're looking really happy tonight," Jay said as he passed a goblet into Charles' hand.
"Why do you say so? Are you blind?" Out of nowhere, Charles snapped at him.
"What's wrong? Are you quarrelling with Nancy?" asked Jay.
"Mr. Fang, let's drink!" Hiram immediately interjected them to change the topic.
He could tell that Charles wasn't in a good mood today. He already assumed that Charles wasn't in good terms with Miss Ning.
Jay was a smart man. How come he couldn't tell?
