Chapter 1058 Revisiting The Space-time Palace

Darren stopped upon hearing the Water Kylin's words. He believed that the Water Kylin's argumentwas reasonable.

As the first fiend ancestor depended on the Inner Fiend, he would not let the Inner Fiend becaptured easily.

"Hide the aura. Let's go in the opposite direction,” Darren commanded.

Darren and the Water Kylin turned and flew in the other direction.

An hour later, in the void between the forbidden area and the Sacred Palace, the blood-red figure ofthe first fiend ancestor stepped out of the darkness. He looked furious!

"Damn human!" he cursed. Because of the Witcher Power's restrictions, he didn't dare to go to theSacred Palace either, nor the area densely populated with ordinary humans.

After they circled hundreds of thousands of kilometers, Darren and the Water Kylin prepared toreturn.

"Master, now that we don't need to worry about the matter of the first fiend ancestor for themoment, do you want to cultivate or help Scott?" asked the Water Kylin.

"As I have reached the half-step emperor realm and can't improve in a short time, I won't cultivatenow," Darren replied.

"Should we visit the Fire Cave then?"

"Not quite. I believe that there won't be any danger to Scott in the near future. I want to go to theRiver of Forgetfulness,” Darren answered.

The River of Forgetfulness had many secrets that intrigued him. And since that immortal hadstepped into the River of Forgetfulness, he wanted to explore it.

"I'll accompany you!" The Water Kylin didn't know much about the River of Forgetfulness, but ifDarren were headed there, he would follow.

"Okay, you can come with me," Darren agreed. The Water Kylin was quite a strong cultivator now, sothey could help each other.

"Should we ask Finley to join us?" the Water Kylin asked.

"He's in the Ancient Void Battlefield. I can call him if we need help,” Darren replied with a thoughtfulnod.

"Okay."

As they flew at full speed, Darren and the Water Kylin returned to the Sacred Palace in half a day.Once back, Darren made some arrangements in preparation for their journey to the River ofForgetfulness.

Barnes arrived just as Darren was about to leave.

"Hey, Darren, when did you return? And why didn't you visit me?" Barnes patted Darren on theshoulder as he asked.

"I only came back a little while ago,” Darren smiled.

"Did you encounter any problems? I heard that the Inner Fiend made trouble again. You didn't getbeaten up by him, did you?" When he heard that Darren was going to guard the forbidden area,Barnes rushed out even though his injuries had not yet healed.

"Fortunately, we defeated him. But, he escaped.” Darren would not tell Barnes that the Inner Fiendhad been suppressed. Otherwise, Barnes would replace a way to assimilate the Inner Fiend.

"Are you bragging? Why do you feel the need to boast in front of your bro?" Even though Barnestried to tease him, Darren got the distinct impression that he didn't believe him

"It doesn't matter if you don't believe me. Let's go, Water Kylin!" Darren shrugged off Barnes'scomment and ordered the Water Kylin.

"Wait, wait! Where are you going?" Curiosity coursed through Barnes, and he asked as he followedthem.

"It's none of your business. Do we have to tell you that we are going to a dangerous place such asthe River of Forgetfulness?" The Water Kylin curled his lips in disdain. He had deliberately revealedtheir plan as he thought it would be safer for them to have another helper.

"You're such a blabbermouth!” Darren glared at the Water Kylin.

"Hey, Darren. I've been stuck here ever since I began the healing process for my injuries. I'm bored. Iwould like to accompany you."

"You can join us, but don't make any trouble! The last time you accompanied us, you betrayed meand conspired with the fiend,” Darren snapped.

"Of course, I won't. I was stupid at that time and made a mistake. I have regretted my actions eversince. Be assured that I'll keep my promise this time. We're like brothers. Don't you trust me? Let'sdo this together,” Barnes grinned as he spoke.

Although skeptical, Darren finally agreed. A short moment later, the three took to the sky andheaded for the Space-time Palace.

Colorful clouds drifted around them. From their last trip here, Darren knew that these were space-time traps. It would be challenging to escape if someone went too close and was pulled into theclouds.

The three neared a tunnel after they carefully bypassed the clouds.

A moment later, a skerry-like island that was suspended in the dark sky appeared in front of them."Who are you? How dare you break into our Space-time Palace?”

Several people surrounded them at once. Their strength was close to that of the half-step emperors."Get out of the way," Darren roared with such intensity that the sound wave he released shockedthem. The pressure was too much for them to bear, and instantly, their complexions paled, andblood pooled in their mouths.

"Ah! Inform the elders that we face a strong enemy!"

Darren ignored the fleeing people.

In the past, the Misty Emperor, the Lord of the Space-time Palace who had the strength of a half-step emperor, had captured Darren and tortured him. At last, Darren killed the Misty Emperor byassimilating the liquid of the holy emperor's power.

Today, Darren had reached such a high level that he could easily kill a hundred Misty Emperors ifthey came to fight him. After all, Darren was now on par with a middle-level holy emperor in termsof physical strength and common attacking skills.

As they were in no danger, Darren and his companions continued to make their way forward.Suddenly, they sensed a strong aura. When they probed, they found that four old men wereapproaching them.

"It's you!"

The four old men's eyes widened in shock when they saw Darren. They knew that he had killed theMisty Emperor and one of their grand-elders. He had even stolen the body of the Shura, which theyhad hidden for many years.

If that was not enough, Darren had shamed them further by stealing their dark-spirit crystals, thusrendering it impossible for them to resurrect the Shura and the holy emperor's corpse!

If Darren hadn't interfered in their plans, they would have dominated this continent long ago.

"Get out of here, or you will die," Darren warned the old men.

"Ha-ha-ha! Are you threatening us? We've been looking for you for a while now. It's nice of you tocome here." An old man laughed maniacally.

"Do you believe that you can make trouble for us just because you've become a half-step emperor?And you've brought a legendary beast, for company? That Water Kylin's strength is at the top levelof the half-step emperor realm. Is that ugly black monkey the legendary Barnes? Well, well. Bothyour companions are famous for their power."

Even though they sensed the astonishing aura emanating from Darren and his two companions, thefour old men didn't panic.

"We were going to hunt you and kill you after what you did. Unfortunately, the fiends were makingtrouble, and our attention was diverted. So we postponed our plan to kill you. But, now you've cometo us by yourself. God favors us!" an old man with blue skin remarked.

"It seems that you have nothing to fear. If I'm not wrong, the other holy emperor's corpse youpossessed has been revived, right?” Darren stated unhurriedly.

"Ha-ha, you are right, lad!

You must not have considered it, but we found a dark-spirit crystal as big as a thumb at a hundredthousand kilometers deep underground in the mine which you destroyed. Hard work pays off! Aftersearching for many years, we finally found it. Now that the holy emperor's corpse has been revived,we will control the world!"

Upon hearing this, Darren and his companions remained unimpressed. In the past, they would haveshuddered at the thought of a holy emperor's corpse being resurrected.

But now, Darren could fight a middle-level holy emperor, and he had two strong assistants to helphim. So, Darren was not afraid.

"Well. Fighting a genuine emperor would be a good practice opportunity for me," Darren smiled."You are too arrogant! We'll just have to wait and see if you are right. Please, welcome the holyemperor!” The four blue-skinned old men gathered and motivated some kind of array. Then, ayoung man with a horrifying aura walked out from a space crack.
