Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 1292 Fury

Maxwell revealed his killing intent to Darren.

"Hat™

Darren chuckled and took a step forward.

"Gambling King, you know what happened at that time. You wanted money, but I wanted to survive.Under those circumstances, I had no choice but to make sure I won."

"Humph! You brat! You made me lose more than two hundred million killing points and a lot ofdivine patterns. Do you think your life is worth that much?" Maxwell roared angrily.

"Please don't be angry. Let's stop talking about the value of my life. I am more than willing tocompensate you for what you lost. What do you say?" Darren said calmly.

Instead of calming down, Maxwell seemed to get even more furious.

It was not that he didn't want to gain back what he had lost. He just didn't believe Darren couldactually afford it. He was also about to acquire Murphy's property. There was no way Murphy couldbe helping him pay.

"What? Are you unwilling to accept it, Gambling King?"

"Humph! You brat! How much property do you even have? How can you return the killing pointsand the divine patterns that our Gambling King lost?" one of the old men jeered.

"I happen to have one hundred million killing points, which I got with the help of Lord Starry Sword.I also have three level-seven divine patterns! I wonder if these would be enough,” Darren said. Whilespeaking, he released three level-seven divine patterns. They floated in the air in front of the oldmen. The old men tried to reach out for them, so Darren immediately drew them back.

"They are indeed level-seven divine patterns!” The three old men were shocked, their faces pale.Their eyes, however, glowed with greed.

"Three level-seven divine patterns are indeed worth more than one hundred million killing points.”"No way.” Maxwell was tempted to accept his offer, but he still wanted to see what Darren couldgive him.

"Gambling King! I have offered to make up for what you have lost. What I showed you is all I have. There's nothing I can do if you don't want to accept it. I guess I will just have to be buried with thesetreasures. I wouldn't think my humble, insignificant life was in vain since I was able to leave thisworld with so many killing points and divine patterns. Humph!" Darren huffed, his face darkening. However, he believed that Maxwell, the Gambling King, would not give up so many killing pointsjust to kill him.

Right then, Maxwell winked at the old man beside him. The old man immediately stepped forwardand spoke. "The things you offer are actually not enough to compensate for what our GamblingKing lost. However, considering that you have some sort of connection with Lord Starry Sword, hewill graciously spare you. Now hand over the things you offered.”

"I will spare your humble, insignificant life for the sake of Lord Starry Sword,” Maxwell declared."No problem," Darren said, smiling. He put one hundred million killing points on the ground andreleased three divine patterns.

Maxwell smiled slyly and immediately hid the killing points and the divine patterns away. Hethought that he was able to score a great deal. In his eyes, Darren's life was not worth even onelevel-seven divine pattern.

"My tab’s been settled, then. But what about Miss Freda's?"

"l have said..."

"Stop! Everyone knows what's going on. Just state your price!" Darren said, interrupting him."You're an interesting one, you brat. Why, if we never had such a past as we do now, well...I wouldprobably even like you,” Maxwell said, forcing a smile.

"One hundred million killing points and one hundred level-five divine patterns.” Maxwell did notbudge.

"Fuck off!” Murphy roared fiercely.

"Master Murphy, don't worry about it," Darren said, pretending to soothe Murphy. "Miss Freda's lifeis more important than anything else. We must save her even if we have to give up everything wehave. Why, you must just be out of your mind because of anger!”

"Darren, it's not your place to meddle in my affairs,” Murphy said, feigning anger. Unbeknown toeveryone else who was there, the two were putting on an act. They needed to make it believable toeveryone, especially to Maxwell.

"Master Murphy, I have brought all the stock of our sect with me, including fifty million killing pointsand thirty level-five divine patterns. I will use them to save Miss Freda, whether you agree or not,"Darren said, his voice low.

"You!" Murphy bristled. "I'll kill you now!"

"Stop!" The three old men flew over to restrain Murphy.

"Murphy, what kind of father are you? How can you stand knowing your daughter is in danger? Youcan earn killing points again. But if your daughter is dead, can she come back to life?

This is a small price to pay for your daughter's safety. Think about that!"

While the old man spoke, Darren flew toward the Gambling King.

"These killing points and divine patterns are all we have. Take them and let go of Miss Freda,”Darren said, releasing the fifty million killing points and the thirty level-five divine patterns. However, Maxwell didn't move at all.

"You should be content. You have earned a lot," Darren reminded.

"Humph! Since Murphy is an old friend of mine, I will help him pay for the remaining killing pointsand divine patterns. Remember what you owe me. You have three months to get it back to me," saidMaxwell.

"You have my word. As long as you give Freda back, you can have anything you want."

After receiving the killing points and divine patterns, Maxwell sent a message to his men. "Bring thegirl here."

Soon, a man in a black robe appeared in the hall. He was holding the wrist of a beautiful girl whoseemed to be motionless.

Murphy immediately flew over, intending to take Freda away. However, before he could do so, theman in the black robe drew his fist back and punched him.

Murphy retaliated and punched him back. He then let out a muffled hum before flying backwardsten feet away.

"Let her go," Maxwell ordered, a disdainful smile on his face. It was not until then that the man inblack restrained himself.

"Freda, are you okay?" Murphy asked anxiously as he held his daughter in his arms.

"Don’t worry. Those men only wanted money. They didn't harm your daughter. They only sealed hergod's power. Well, it seems like everything's in order. How about you buy me a drink?" Maxwellsaid, visibly relaxed.

"Let's wait and see!" Murphy said coldly, his voice dripping with hostility. He then turned aroundand walked away.

"Bye!" Darren followed Murphy.

"Master, do you want to kill them?” the three old men asked telepathically.

"There is no need for that. They've given us a fortune. What they do now is irrelevant to me. Bringme wine. We should have a grand celebration today!" Maxwell said happily.

With Freda in tow, Darren and Murphy rushed out of the castle and focused on flying towards theStarry Sword Sect as fast as they could.

After Darren and Murphy left, Maxwell and the three old men began to enjoy. They had a grandfeast prepared before them, and they helped themselves to the delicious food and drink.

It was not until several hours later that the banquet came to an end.

"Guards, take these trophies to my treasure houses."

Maxwell lay down leisurely in his chair. Behind him, a personal guard at the low-level of the CelestialGod Realm walked towards the treasure houses, clutching the treasures Maxwell had gotten.Suddenly, the guard came rushing back.

As soon as he entered the hall, he fell down to his knees. He looked flustered, but he dared notspeak.

"What happened? Has such a big tragedy struck you and your family that you look like this?"Maxwell asked sourly.

"No, master, something serious has happened.”

"Get to the point!"

"The treasure houses have been plundered.”

"What?!" Maxwell flew over and grabbed the personal guard's neck. He squeezed it tight. "Say itagain!”

"M-master, a-all the treasures in the t-treasure houses have been stolen... Urk!"

Suddenly, something dawned on Maxwell.

No wonder Darren and Murphy didn't even hesitate to give him so many killing points and divinepatterns. They had stolen his property and pretended to give it to him!

In his treasure houses, there were hundreds of millions of killing points and more than twothousand divine patterns. They could have easily taken some of them.

"Ah! I will kill all of you!"

Maxwell was so angry that he forcefully snapped the guard's neck. It was deathly silent as his headsnapped off and rolled across the cold floor.
