Talented Martial Hero -
Chapter 570 Clean Up The Remnants (Part Two)
"Well, I know. I am well aware of that. It's a pity that I don't have more spiritual crystals. If I hadmuch, probably I could promote myself to the six-star level in twenty years.” While he facednumerous battles along his way, Darren had used up all the spiritual crystals he got for acceleratinghis cultivation base. Consequently, it would take him a longer time to improve his stage without theaid of the spiritual crystals.
"Spiritual crystals are very precious and hard to obtain. You'd better not rely on them too much,”said Mathew.
"Is that so? Well, I got it! Even if there are no spiritual crystals, there is still a way to speed up theprogress of my stage.”
The method that Darren was talking about was to upgrade his talent degree. In due course that heattained the talent of Genuine Domain Degree, Darren believed that his upgrade of cultivation basewould not be slowed down.
"That's a good plan. You can stay here and practice with Hanson for a while. We will decide whetheryou can leave here or not after my master comes back."
With that consensus with Mathew, Darren nodded and released his avatar again.
After coming out of the Starry Tower, Darren's avatar immediately looked for Scott.
On his way, he learned that Chad and the others had recovered after the treatment.
"Chad, are you all right?" Darren greeted.
"I am all right now. Well enough than before. Thank you for coming and helping us, or we all wouldhave died without you.
Unfortunately, Rolf has been killed. That's hard for us to accept,” Chad responded with his headhung low.
All of them looked rather sad and disheartened. They had lost a friend, as mutants killed him. Worstwas, they had no strength to fight back nor even avenge their friend's death.
"Don't be so sad. Those mutants are so vile and shameless. We can't stop Rolf from being killed ifthat's his fate,” with his hands resting on Chad's shoulders, Darren comforted him and the rest ofthe grand warriors.
"Yes, we know. We want to see Rolf off and send his body back to his hometown," said Chad.
"Okay, I'll go with you then," proposed Darren.
"We'd better not bother you. Though the kings of these mutant tribes were killed, we are still afraidof the rest of the mutants that are willing to kill humans secretly. It would be better if you canarrange some people to protect those with inferior strength as much as possible. We don't want anyof our relatives or friends die because of those mutants, and we couldn't afford any loss anymore,”Chad said, with a downcast expression.
"Chad is right. I understand. We should replace the surviving mutants who had escaped first. If theydon't surrender willingly, we'll kill them all,” Scott, who was just standing beside Darren, said coldly."Well, I'll go and replace some elders to guard the territory first. After that, I'll go with Scott to searchfor the rest of the mutants. Chad, you need to be careful when you go back. If anything happens, you can send me a message at once," Darren voiced out. His tone gave Chad a sense of securitythat whatever might occur, he had someone to call on to.
"Yes, we know, and we rely heavily on you. Thank you for that. We are leaving now.”
The six of them cupped their hands and kowtowed to both Darren and Scott, and left.
"Darren, in fact, the rest of the mutants are no big deal. I guess the most important thing as of themoment is the powerful one among the black-scaled mutants. As far as I know, he is going to takelife soon. I'm afraid it would be difficult to deal with him," Scott put forth seriously, considering thethreat imposed by the dominant black mutants.
"Yes, I am with forethought about that matter. How about this? We can go to the den of the blackmutants after we kill all the mutants from the other tribes which are at the four-star level or above,”Darren asked at once, wanting to know Scott's opinion about his plan.
"That sounds great. That's what we are going to do. You go and make some arrangements first, andcome to me when you are done,” Scott affirmed and suggested.
After discussing their plans, Darren flew away and gathered all the three-star grand warriors in theHeavenly Palace Sect, ordering them to protect the people from any potential attacks
After all the arrangements had been settled, Darren and Scott set out for the mutants’ nests.Meanwhile, in the North Desert, while the thick mist blocked the sunlight from peeping through theentire place, an uproar was heard somewhere.
The turbulence was from an area covered with ice and snow at the end of the desert.
The cold and what seemed like a desolate place was actually home to the double-headed mutants. On this beautiful day, however, their routine and peaceful way of life was disturbed.
"Listen! As long as your power is on par with that of a four-star grand warrior, you should come outright now. Otherwise, I will kill you without mercy.”
The threat descended from the two figures who were like gods, which floated in the cold sky."Humph! How dare you! Kill them!" bellowed a double-headed mutant.
At his command, dozens of four-star double-headed mutants flew into the air with one or two five-star generals among them.
Swish!
Soon enough, powerful sword and blade intents covered the whole area.
Blood and bodies of double-headed mutants alike fell one after another.
In a split second, all of the powerful double-headed mutants were defeated. They were like a schoolof fish caught in a net—helpless and with no escape.
"Sir, we yield under your power. We serve you. Please have mercy on us.”
In no time, a five-star general was kneeling and begging on the ground, along with tens andthousands of his members.
Before this incident, the general had heard that humans had killed their king. As he witnessed thestrength of the two humans in the air, he knew for sure that they were the ones who killed theirking. Certainly, if they didn't surrender, their whole tribe would be doomed and vanquished toexistence.
