Chapter 569 Clean Up The Remnants (Part One)

With a heavy heart, after Darren left the Snail King to his friends, he went to look for fragments ofsword intent.

Without the pieces of sword intent, Darren, though now a nominal disciple of the Starry Tower'sowner, was not allowed to enter. No exception to the rule, nor a particular treatment was given tohim.

The Snail King had killed his friend. The mutant was so hateful that Darren would never let it go.After seven or eight days of diligent searching, he finally found two pieces of sword intent.

"Oh, right. I forgot that there is a fragment of sword intent in my Space Ring too. How silly of me."blurted out Darren as he suddenly remembered that he had found two pieces last time in a lakebefore he entered the Starry Tower. He used one, and the other one was left and stored in his SpaceRing. He was feeling ridiculous and sorry at the same time that he didn't remember and wasted histime looking for more fragments of sword intent. Anyway, he would need to go back to the StarryTower from time to time. Thus, it was good for him to secure some more fragments of sword intentin his Space Ring.

Darren then flew to the palace of the Red Inferno Sect where Horace had imprisoned the Snail King.Without wasting his time, he triggered the sword intent fragment. In a couple of minutes, he tookthe Snail King away.

On the top floor of the Starry Tower

After the real Darren appeared, his avatar shut his eyes and sat beside him quietly. It was such aninstant action, like a servant that knew what to do the moment his master arrived.

"Ah, y-y-you..." stuttered the Snail King as he felt the real Darren's aura. The Snail King had sensedthe heightened, maximized, and strengthened potency of Darren's aura which made him terrified.His avatar and the true Darren were like two peas in a pod. But Darren's true self was way sinewyand stalwart than his avatar. "What's going on?" asked the Snail King silently.

"Sir, please don't kill me. I know the treasures of the Dragon King and the Double-headed King. I'llgive them all to you. Please spare my life and let me go," begged the Snail King while he cried atDarren's feet.

All the while, in his anger towards the Snail King, Darren just ignored him. He gave the Snail King asnort of contempt, instead.

"You were so arrogant the last time. Looking at you right now, I can see that you seem to have astrong defense. Aren't you afraid of anything, as you said? You also killed my friend, right?

Let me see if your shell can withstand my blow or not!" Darren bellowed out.

Bang!

A loud slap reverberated across the Starry Tower as Darren smashed on the Snail King's shell. Suchforce was enough to trample on an entire palace, much more a gigantic snail. If only the Snail Kingwere not that compelling, he could be ashes in no time.

But then again, the Snail King's shell, as his primary line of defense, was extremely hard. AfterDarren's dominant blow, only a few cracks spread like spider webs across its carapace.

"Wow, I am impressed! Your shell is tough enough. I didn't break completely with my hand," Darrensaid calmly, while shaking his head in skepticism.

"My Lord, please don't kill me. Waah... Waah..." Ridiculous as he appeared, the Snail King was scaredto death and wept like a child.

Bang!

Yet, his pleading seemed to be unheard by Darren. He simply didn't care about the Snail King'ssupplication at all. Then, determining to crush the Snail King's shell this time, Darren hit it with hispalm. Soon enough, shards and pieces of shell flurried in the air like snowflakes.

On the ground, limping and lolling as if in terrible pain, a lavender body covered with mucus wasexposed to Darren.

"You have done so many bad things, and your mind was filled with evil thoughts as well. You mustdie in pain!" hollered Darren as he looked at what remained of the Snail King.

At such circumstances, Darren released a sword intent, and then activated his soul attack to torturethe Snail King at once.

Under the torment of such powerful intents from Darren, the Snail King's body kept twitching. Onemoment he cried and begged for mercy, then another moment, he cursed Darren in a low voice.Yet, at the turn of events, Darren didn't care about what the Snail King was saying at all. Instead, hekicked the snail away and shouted at him to endure the soul torture forever.

"Darren, the master sent a message to me, telling me that his avatar will come soon. By that time,you may be able to go out.”

At this time, Mathew walked to Darren with a smile and relayed to him the message.

"Haha, okay then. I couldn't wait for that to happen.” replied Darren with a smile. While he wassaying that, he was stretching his hands, relieving them from the slight tingling sensation. The mildpain was the result of him smashing on the Snail King's rigid shell.

"I have a feeling that there is a powerful mutant outside, and I'm afraid my avatar is unable to dealwith it. The moment that mutant comes to existence, I have to go out and fight against it by myself."Darren expressed his sentiments, with a serious tone and expression.

"You're right. There is indeed a powerful mutant in the far west that is about to be born. If it takesshape, even if your real body stands out to fight it, I am afraid you may not be able to defeat it.Therefore, you need to try your best to comprehend the legendary blade and sword skills duringthis time," Mathew stated in a gloomy tone, worried about Darren and his fate with the mutants.

In the same manner, Darren was shocked, too, when he heard about the news. The mutant, whichwas about to be born, was prophesized to be powerful and dominant among its kind.

With that being known, Darren was on pins and needles. He had comprehended a little of thelegendary blade and sword skills and had the combat power of a seven-star grand warrior at themiddle level. However, even with such power, he wouldn't be able to fight against that unbornmutant.

"Your cultivation base has improved a lot. You are a two-star grand warrior now. But it is far fromenough. Only when you reached the five or six-star level can you compete with those who havereally stepped into the seven-star level," emphasized Mathew when he saw the worried look onDarren's face.
