Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 671 An Old Man Of A Foot Tall (Part One)

The painting was soon brightened by the blood-red light.

As the ambiance gradually changed, Darren and Hobson immediately felt the bleak coldness. Thus, they turned back and looked at the wall.

To their dire amazement, on the wall, the red-haired figure moved. It was so horrible that thecharacter seemed to walk out of the painting.

At the sight of it, both Darren and Hobson were shocked. From their point of view, all the figurespainted in the wall were powerful enough to shake the world. More than that, the red-hairedcreature was actually going to come out of the picture. How could it not scare them?

There were ripples like water waving on the wall. Gradually, a twisted face stood out from it andstared at Darren and Hobson. By the look of it, the figure struggled nonstop, and after a moment,he actually jumped out of the wall.

After the loud thud from his fall, the figure stood up and straightened himself.

"Oh! Shit, it hurts!" he complained while holding on to his behind.

Throughout these episodes of events, both Darren and Hobson were in a daze and had their eyesfixed on the figure from the wall.

Judging from the way he appeared, the figure was an old man wearing a cotton cloth whose facewas covered with stubbles. What amazed them the most was, though he appeared to be old, he wasonly one foot tall.

"Sir? May we know who you are?" Darren asked, lowering his head to have a closer look at the one-foot man.

"Well, good that you know that you should call me sir! It's you who took the two rule formulas ofthe immortals out, right?" he asked without answering Darren's question. As he accused Darren, theminute elder stroked his beard and curled his lips. Then with lucid and judging eyes, he stared atDarren suspiciously.

Hearing his question, Darren was stunned for a while and then refused, saying, "No, I only keep thetwo rule formulas in my mind and never took them away."

"Humph, you didn't take them? Are you sure? Please go and take another look,” reckoned the oldman.

With that, he waved his hand, and with that wave, both Darren and Hobson appeared in front of thefirst portrait.

'What a skilled master the old man is! He is so adept at employing the space rule!" Darren thoughtto himself after he had been transported by the old man to the first portrait.

While he faced with the portrait, Darren used his silvery eyes to look deeper into the painting again.Consequently, he saw that the painting was totally in chaos, with nothing else in it, even no rule silkthreads.

"What's going on? I only remember the rule formulas." Darren was confused by what was set beforehis very eyes.

"Hey, Darren. You said you found no treasure from the painting. Turns out, you have hidden itsomewhere.” Hobson laughed after hearing what Darren had said.

"Stop interrupting me.” Darren rolled his eyes at Hobson and then got his attention back to thepainting.

"You are really something, kid. You did it as if you were blind. What's the name of that trick?" the oldman asked, referring to Darren's odd-looking eyes.

A bit pissed off by now, Darren rolled his eyes again and said, "What are you talking about, sir? Thisis my “silvery eyes’. I am not blind.”

"Haha, you look almost the same as one blind man. So that's how you acquired the rule formulas!Good move, boy. The rule formulas on the painting will be gone once they are engraved in aperson's mind, and that's why I said you took them.” The old man summoned Darren to come to thepainting because he wanted to see how Darren got the rule formulas.

Over the last few years, numerous people had attended these paintings, and each of them was apowerful warrior, even the weakest one had reached the Holy Realm.

However, none of them had got the two rule formulas, and maybe some real powerful men had thechance to get them. But they disdained to do so. After all, it was something from the immortals thatcould only be cultivated by rule cultivators

"By the way, sir, who are you exactly? Why are you in the bronze palace?” Darren asked, curiously. From the start, he had been inquisitive why such a weird and freakish creature loomed around thebronze palace.

"I am the owner of the Mythological Palace, the so-called bronze palace you mentioned. So I guessit is just normal that I'm here," the old man said proudly while raising his shoulders in a jerk-likegesture.

"The master of the bronze palace! Alas!"

at such a remark made by the tiny man, Darren and Hobson roared at the same time. Both of themcouldn't wrap their heads at the thought that such a small man had owned such a magnificent andimmense place as the bronze palace.

As far as Darren and Hobson knew, the bronze palace had existed for ages. And this old man wasthe owner of it! How many years did he survive?

Even a holy emperor couldn't live as long as he had lived!

"Sir, are you born in the ancient times? Say the Ancient Age? But why do you speak the samelanguage as us?" Darren questioned reverently. What the old man had said triggered his curiosity. Thus he wanted to learn more about the palace and much more about its owner.

"Silly boy, who says the owner of the bronze palace has to be a member of the ancient times? I wasborn in the last chaotic era of the Last Age. And by that, I meant maybe just several hundredthousand years ago," responded the old man.

"Yes, the Mythological Palace belonged to the ancient times. But it had been through manygenerations. I'm the twenty-ninth generation head of it," the old man continued as he saw theeagerness to know more in Darren's eyes.

As he counted the years on his head, Darren thought that if the short old man was the head of thetwenty-ninth generation, it meant that the palace had existed a terrifyingly long time.

"But why do you come out now, sir? Just because I have obtained two rule formulas?" Darren askedeven more. It seemed that he had never run out of questions for the old man.
