Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 670 The Battle Between The Emperor And The Immortal

After three days, Darren's Spirit Power made its progress to recovery.

After it recovered, he flew towards a different portrait.

It was a picture of a man with an enormous axe in his hand. His eyes were wide open as if he was glaring atsomething or someone, but there was nothing in front of the man.

Darren used his silvery eyes to understand and examine the picture carefully.

A figure then appeared in front of the man with the axe in the picture.

The figure had his back facing towards the man holding the axe. His purple robes were so enchanting as if he was areal man, not a portrait.

“This man in the purple robe seems to be stronger than the man with the huge axe, ' Darren guessed.

Suddenly, the picture moved.

The man threw the axe into the air. A large number of runes bombarded the sky and countless stars shook anddropped down.

"Oh!" Darren was startled to the point that he kept retreating back, as if he was on the verge of death once more.

It was not until a while later that he realized it was just a portrait.

Then, he realized that the power of the big fellow with the huge axe was neither inferior to the man nor the womanin the first portrait he had previously seen.

Then, a sword suddenly materialized in the air as the huge axe fell.

The figure in purple robe stretched his hand to snatch the sword from the sky and swept behind the man. The manand his axe were split into halves in a blink of an eye.

"What kind of sword intent is this?"

Darren screamed out in a mixture of shock and panic. The sword intent he had sensed from the young man in thepurple robe inside the painting was so formidable that he had never experienced before. The man's powerful swordintent made Darren's sword core in his elixir field nearly break.

“His sword intent is far more superior than the extreme sword intent.’

Darren could not express the strong sense he felt in words. After a moment of thought, he remembered the youngman possessed a black and white sword in his eyes, who was Darren's master in name.

“This young man's sword intent is not weaker than the black and white sword intent my master has. ' Darren thought.Of course, the black and white sword intent that Darren had known was nothing compared to its original force. Hismaster had weakened it when it was in use.

At this point, Darren had realized that the extreme level of sword intent in this world wasn't the ultimate level.

The man in the painting soon broke into millions of tiny runes and fractured rule silk threads.

Soon enough, the picture returned to its original form. In the picture, there was still a big fellow with a huge axe inhis hand, and a young man in purple robe had his back facing the former.

Darren could almost read the handwriting at the bottom of the painting.

The handwriting said, "When I, a holy emperor, visited the bronze palace, I happened to meet a weakling comingfrom outer space. He thought he was superior and kept insulting me, so I killed him.

If anyone else from outer space sees this picture, keep this lesson in mind: arrogance will only result in death."Reading this message, Darren did not know how to describe what he felt.

It turned out that the young man in purple was an emperor in the ancient times. He had killed an alien so easily, andleft the words of commandment. How terribly horrifying was his strength.

Shocked, Darren looked down and read the text below. It was another message though written by a different person.'T heard that an aborigine had attacked and killed my disciple. So I came here and massacred him in 108, 321Heavenly Year. If any other aborigine comes here and sees this, then he should remember how to respect ourimmortals. Otherwise, he will die even if he is in young age.”

Darren stared at this text and didn't know what to say. “Does this mean that the emperor, the young man in the purplerobe in this picture, was later killed by an immortal?’

Darren continued to read.

There were quite a number of records below. Those who wrote the records called themselves "emperor", claimingthat they vowed to slaughter the weaklings from the outer space.

"Was this the beginning of the destruction of the ancient times? Did the powerful holy emperors of our world angerthe alien immortals which led to a war?" Darren murmured, imagining that scene in his head.

He had heard that the doom of each era was faintly related to the unexpected visitors from outer space.

For example, the destruction of the Last Age was caused due to the first fiend ancestor who was suppressed in theforbidden areas. Darren had yet to replace the knowledge about how the Ancient Age and the Middle Age gotdestroyed.

Now that he finally saw the description of the picture with his own eyes, he assumed that the Remote Age wasdestroyed by the immortals from outer space.

In this palace, there must have been battles between the emperors and the immortals. No wonder there have been somany crystals made from the Holy Will. A lot of the immortals and the emperors must have died here.

But it was strange. Why didn't the holy emperors leave behind crystals after they died?’ Darren wondered.

The era of these were far too long ago. Just by imagination, Darren couldn't have guessed, so he stopped thinkingabout it.

However, Darren was sure that no matter what happened in ancient times, the human race had never beenannihilated. Otherwise, there would be no living descendants of that specific race today.

It meant that in every era, there must be some people who were able to withstand the calamities and survive.Darren flew to another wall to observe the last portrait.

In this portrait, it was a humanoid creature with red fur covering his body and his eyes were closed.

The portrait was so vivid that it attracted Darren's undivided attention.

He observed it with his silvery eyes and realized that nothing had changed in the portrait as what happened with theothers.

He couldn't replace any words or descriptions around the portrait as well.

"Why does he look so similar to the red-haired monsters living in this area? Is he one of their ancestors?’ Darrenwondered.

There were many kinds of monsters in the Life Forbidden Zone, and all if not most of them had red fur.

"What did you see, Darren?" Hobson asked as he flew towards Darren.

Darren shook his head. There were little benefits for Hobson to know these complicated things, so not mentioningthem would prevent the latter from getting burdened with the knowledge of the past.

"Nothing. Let's think about how to get out for now."
