Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 805 Resentment

The beating was real and violent. The monkey shrank in the corner and didn't dare to say a word.Darren and Finley finally calmed down.

Later, they explored the cave and found the Fiendish Root three kilometers below the ground.

The Fiendish Root was a root-like object that resembled a withered claw. It was named because ofits shape.

"Finley, can we tunnel through the ground and create a passage to escape?" Darren asked.Impatience had set in now that Darren and Finley had been trapped in the cave for three days.

"I probed the area earlier. The restriction around this cave is like a ball with a diameter of tenkilometers. It's impossible for us to tunnel our way out.”

Darren rubbed his chin as he wondered whether or not his idea had been too naive. If it were simpleenough to escape, the descendants of the fiend wouldn't have been trapped here for so manyyears.

"Hmm, I am very curious about how that crazy monkey got here," Darren said.

"I'm more curious about how you walked out the last time..." Finley said.

"The situation was different at that time. As long as I didn't use my power of transforming into afiend, that restriction did not affect me. In other words, that restriction had no impact on creatureswithout a fiendish aura.

Now things are different. That monkey has such a powerful fiendish aura that he has activated therestriction to its limit. As such, even we can't leave," Darren sighed as he explained.

Finley nodded in understanding. Then he waved his hand and said, "Monkey, come here."

"Erm... What can I do for you two?" The monkey nodded and bowed.

Finley had beaten him so much these past three days that he did not dare to misbehave.

"What brought you to the Raksa Sea, and why are you in this cave?” Finley asked.

"I was hungry and in search of food. Is this explanation acceptable to you? If not, I will try to providea more suitable reason,” the monkey answered with an awkward smile.

"Still trying to be smart, is it? It seems that you haven't suffered enough.” Finley flashed, and beforelong, agonized cries shook the whole cave.

"Hey, you two. It's not appropriate to beat me so frequently, okay?" The monkey squatted andwiped the blood off his face.

"Don't talk nonsense. If you don't want to be beaten any more, you should answer my questions.”Finley thought that the monkey was a rare fiend and that he was intentionally making themmiserable.

"Hey, I was once invincible, okay? I'm Barnes the Holy. Would you please leave me alone now? Youassured me that you would not hit me on the face. But you didn't keep your promise. I will get evennow!"

The monkey stood from the ground and glared at Finley.

Finley shivered as a chill coursed through him. Then he felt as though he had been immersed intodeep, horrifying darkness.

"Hmmm,"

Finley exclaimed in a small voice. His eyes reddened, and his hair fluttered even though there wasno wind.

"What's wrong?"

Concern for his friend pushed Darren to fly toward Finley impetuously.

Soon, he too fell into the endless darkness and behaved like Finley.

Buzz.

Darren's brain hummed as he was overwhelmed by repressed emotions.

"It doesn't matter if you're an immortal. I will still kill you!

Kill! Kill! Kilt

Darren screeched at the extraordinary woman standing before him.

Strong fiendish aura along with infinite killing intent burst out of Darren as he rushed toward theimmortal, armed with his blade and sword.

Bang!

The woman raised her hand and pushed Darren slightly. In an instant, she had broken all of Darren'sbones.

"Kill! Kill! Kill

Darren remembered how this enchanting woman had taken Elsa from him several years back. All ofhis anger and sense of loss surfaced in the blink of an eye. With so much hatred coursing throughhim, Darren would never consider retreating!

Bang!

The immortal woman punched Darren again. This time, he felt a sharp pain in his internal organs.Daren realized that he was about to die.

But, he couldn't stop. Killing that immortal was the only thought in his heart and mind.

The monkey grinned when he saw Darren and Finley behaving crazily.

"You thought you could mess with me? I can easily kill you in minutes, * the monkey thought.

He walked up to Darren and Finley and exerted over ten martial arts skills on them in turns.

But the outcome was not as expected. The monkey's hands swelled like pig's feet, just like the lasttime.

The monkey lowered his head and whispered as he glared at his red and swollen hands, "Why have Ibeen suppressed?”

The monkey raised his head and glared at the two men ferociously.

"Fine then! I'll beat you to death with my stick!" the monkey screeched so loudly that his throat hurt.He repeatedly released over ten kinds of martial arts skills. However, the result was the same—hishands were badly mutilated.

Then, he seemed to lose all his strength and collapsed on the ground.

"Why? Why suppress me?" He held his head and sobbed in the darkness as his anger and frustrationturned into helplessness.

"Roar!"

Finley's expression turned ferocious, and he looked sinister and ruthless. But he also appearedscared.

He was in a wilderness, confronting a youth who looked exactly like him.

"You shouldn't exist in this world,"

the youth said. He had the same appearance as Finley, and he emitted an icy aura as he repeatedthis sentence.

"But I do exist! And I have existed for a long time. What the hell do you want?" Finley roared as hisblack hair fluttered crazily.

"Come back. Your soul belongs to me."

Boom.

Thick clouds billowed in the sky, and the bleak wind suddenly raised a large cloud of dust thatenveloped Finley.

"No, I won't. I won't go back even if it means my death!

Kill! Kill! Kill"

Finley screamed as he flew to the youth and attacked him desperately.

But, the youth with the cold aura did not move. On the contrary, a powerful force hit Finley.Meanwhile, the veins in Darren's forehead surged like squirming earthworms.

His face was pale as if he was on the verge of death.

In the world of his spiritual sense, he was indeed at his last breath.

The woman, who stood before Darren, remained cold and expressionless as if she was watching thedeath of someone inconsequential.

"One wants to kill an immortal, while the other wants to defy a god.

These two human brats are amazing!"

The monkey returned to normal after his outburst. He was surprised by what he found when hedetected Darren's and Finley's hidden resentments.

The fact that Darren and Finley would rather die than give up reminded the monkey of his past self."Die. After you die, you will no longer suffer,” the monkey whispered in delight.

Boom.

The whole cave trembled.

A dark aura, like a torrent, gushed out of Darren's body.

A loud crack was heard.

Then, he opened his eyes.

"You want to use my resentment to stimulate my fiendish nature so that I will die when my soulcollapses?

It's no wonder that you were the Inner Fiend of Barnes the Holy."

As Darren mumbled, the negative emotions in him faded like the tide.

"Ah! You are awake?

How is this possible? Ha-ha?"

the monkey exclaimed in disbelief. He stared at Darren as though he was some kind of monster.Darren's expression was cold.

In the blink of an eye, he pierced the monkey's heart with his sword.

"Let my buddy wake up.”

This time, the monkey didn't cry or scream. Instead, he stared at Darren defiantly.

"Do you believe that I will grow more afraid after you hurt me?

Humph... Ha-ha..." The monkey laughed. However, his laughter was more like a cry.

"So, what do you want? Killing him won't do you any good," Darren questioned.

"Why do I need a reason to do something? If there is a reason, it could only be that I want to livewith dignity in this world. And I will kill anyone who dares to offend me.”

His eyes were dark, and resentment surged out of the monkey violently.
