Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 806 Getting Out Of The Cave

Every part of Finley's body quivered as his soul was about to collapse.

"Monkey, I know why you came to the Raksa Sea. You wanted to save your real body, right?" Darrensaid quickly.

"A mysterious power suppressed you, and you know that your real body can help you. You want toreturn to the peak of your skills, you want your self-esteem, and you want to continue yourinvincible era.

If 1 am right, let my friend go. We have the same goal—to save Barnes, the Holy. If he dies, Barnesthe Holy will never return,” Darren continued.

The monkey was stunned by what he heard, and the hatred in his eyes receded as he stared atDarren.

"If you don't decide quickly, time will run out, and you will live in this menial way forever. Youcannot leave this cave without our help.”

The monkey shook his head as he refused to believe Darren. After all, since their arrival, Darren andFinley had behaved horribly toward him. Why would they be nice now? The monkey stared at Finleyfor a while as he contemplated his options.

A moment later, the deep resentment in Finley's body faded, and he returned to normal.

A stunned Finley blinked rapidly before he opened his eyes.

Before anyone could speak, weakness surged through Finley, and he collapsed to the ground.

"He wants to kill me..." Finley murmured.

"It was an illusion created by the monkey. He magnified the fear, darkness, and resentment presentin your heart,” Darren explained hurriedly.

"Phew!" Finley did not respond to Darren as he had fallen into a state of unconsciousness.

"Why did you say that you can save Barnes the Holy? How can you achieve that?" the monkey raisedhis head and asked calmly.

Darren was speechless as he didn't know how they could save Barnes the Holy. He had said what hethought would change the monkey's mind about hurting Finley.

"Do you know what has suppressed him?" Darren asked in reply. Perhaps if he knew, Darren couldfigure out how to help.

"I don't know, and it is impossible for me to know. But, considering his abilities, the only two thingsthat can trap him would be the resurrection of the old holy emperor and the thing from the outersky," the monkey stated.

Time passed quickly.

When Finley woke a month later, the first thing he wanted to do was kill the monkey. However, hefound that the monkey had Eternal Body.

"Aren't you afraid that I will remobilize your fiendish nature if you hit me like this?" The sinister smileon the monkey's face and his blood-covered body made him look particularly gruesome.

"I did not beat you in the face," Finley yelled at the monkey. "You almost killed me. I want to ventmy anger now. Isn't that allowed?”

The monkey crouched by the stone wall and scratched himself up and down. After a while, hespoke, "It doesn't matter! Both of you are also destined to be trapped in this cave. If I let you live, atleast I will have someone to talk to."

"Not necessarily,"

Darren said as he stood. He seemed to remember something.

"How dare you imply that there is another alternative? You are too weak to shake the restriction, justlike me!"

"Yes, you are correct. We haven't been able to think of a way to remove the restriction. But you arethe reason why this restriction is so powerful. What if you're not here?

Will the restriction disappear if you died?"

Darren finally stumbled across a way to defeat the restriction.

The monkey jumped to his feet with excitement when he heard Darren's explanation.

After a while, his face darkened, and he said, "You are smart. Once I die, you two will leave the cave. But my corpse will stay. Then I will never be free! You are trying to trick me!"

"All that doesn't matter. Once we escape, we will figure out a way to get you out of here as well,"Darren replied confidently.

"Really? What ideas do you have?" the monkey sneered.

"If we save Barnes the Holy, and tell him about your situation, don't you think he will come to saveyou?" Darren asked.

The monkey's expression settled when he heard Darren's question. He was convinced that Darrenwas not going to trick him.

The monkey said, "You sound confident that you can save him. Is that true? Can you?"

"That isn't your concern. If we can't save him, there is no difference whether you stay in the cave ornot. After all, you will still be as weak as a suppressed ant, won't you?

Help us escape. At least you will have hope, even if it's only a tiny bit,” Darren continued torationalize.

"Deal!

Remember, I can only stay dead for a couple of seconds. Make the most of that time!"

"That will be enough time,"

Darren assured the monkey as he and Finley walked to the edge of the exit.

"Ha-ha! I'm going to kill myself to help you! Don't forget your promise!” the monkey remindedDarren.

"Don't worry. We are not deceitful people. We will try our best to ensure that we keep our promise.Since I broke through the fiendish nature you released, you should know what kind of person I am,”Darren muttered

"Well, don't talk anymore. You should get ready now." The monkey was becoming impatient.

With that said, the monkey used his claws to stab himself in the chest. In the next instant, hepinched hard, and his heart exploded.

At the exit of the cave, the restriction force retreated like the tide, allowing Darren and Finley toleave without any hindrance.

"It worked!" Finley was thrilled. Awe coursed through Finley when he glanced at Darren. After all, ifDarren hadn't thought of this idea, they would still be imprisoned in the cave.

In the black gap of the cave, a pair of glowing eyes stared at their retreating figures before graduallydisappearing.

"Inner Fiend..." the monkey shook his head and murmured.

Darren and Finley flew away from the purple island. They were only over ten kilometers away."Something is wrong," Darren said as he glanced around.

"You mean the monkey?" Finley asked.

"No, I feel as though someone is following us.”

"What?" Finley released his Spirit Power to probe the area around them for ten thousand kilometers."I felt the same way just now, but when I probed, I didn’t replace anything."

"Could it be the Fire Kylin?" Darren wondered.

"It's impossible. I'm sure I will be able to sense the Fire Kylin."

"Forget it. Maybe I just imagined it. Let's go meet Village Head Fris."

Both Darren and Finley summoned greater speed to reach their destination sooner.

As soon as they disappeared, a cold figure walked out of the space crack.

He looked in the direction where Darren was headed and then glanced back at the purple island."Master, I have found him." He sent a message to the forbidden area of the human race.

"Great! Finish him."

"Yes, master. But there's one more thing. Your descendants have been massacred.”

"Roar!" Angry cries were sent to the figure's mind.

"Check it out and then chase the human.” A moment later, the cruel and fiendish voice instructedthe figure.

“Yes, master.”

The fake Darren did not choose to chase Darren just yet. He first flew to the Devil Den on the purpleisland.

He hesitated in front of the cave's entrance for a moment as the aura he sensed terrified him.

But, he couldn't disobey his master's order. So, he finally stepped into the dark gap.

Meanwhile, Darren and Finley reached the village.

The figure of Fris appeared before the stone tablet.

"Did you get the medicinal herbs you sought?” Fris asked.

"Yes. Thank you for showing us the way."

"Come with me. It's time to show you the Equinox Tree... It is on the other side of the river..." Frismurmured as a space passage opened. Darren and Finley stepped through and found themselves ina graveyard.

Darren and Finley followed Fris to a small river.

Green grass grew on both sides of the river. The only other thing in this grassland was a big treewith thick branches full of leaves.

"It's right there.

All you need to do is to cross the river and pluck the leaves on that tree,” Fris explained.

"That's all? This sounds simple,” Finley mumbled. He was shocked at how effortless this sounded."It's not easy." Darren shook his head and continued, "From the memory Fris sent me, crossing theriver will be challenging. Even if we make it across, we might be unable to pluck the leaves from thetree."

"What do you mean?" Finley asked.
