Chapter 815 The Monkey Versus The Fire Kylin (Part Three)

The monkey's face paled, and his body trembled. Even though he was a vicious creature, the crystalterrified him.

The fiery red hexahedral crystal floated up slowly till it reached the stick shadow.

At this moment, like the name of the monkey's skill revealed—the whole world would bedevastated.

From the depths of the sky, a stream of flame descended like a waterfall.

As the whole sea below began to boil, several giant fish swimming near the surface stewed andwere eventually refined.

The fiery red crystal, meanwhile, battled the runes on the stick shadow until they broke down. Then, the crystal dispersed the shadow.

The monkey's face convulsed violently as the crystal reminded him of a creature that terrified him.Only he could have such an unmatched aura.

But, the monkey knew that this crystal couldn't be the creature's as it came from the Fire Kylin."Back off now, or I'll kill you no matter what,”

said a phantom that had condensed from the hexahedral crystal.

It was a small kylin covered in flames, just like the Fire Kylin.

But, his aura caused the sky to collapse, and the monkey had the uncontrollable impulse to kneel."You are the legendary beast from outer space!"

The monkey gritted his teeth and retreated tens of thousands of feet once again.

The small kylin's shadow was cold and silent.

Not far from them, the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan looked grim as he remained half knelt inthe air.

"He's our first ancestor. How could the Fire Kylin be compatible with the incarnation of our firstancestor? Ha-ha..." The patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan felt as though he was going crazy.

When the fiery red crystal rose, the patriarch felt a resonance in his blood. And so, he naturallybowed to it—an instinctive reaction that stemmed from his most primitive impulse.

At this moment, even the Fire Kylin was shocked. He had not known that such a terrifying object wasembedded in his mind.

The moment that fiery red crystal popped out, he felt superior and invincible.

The monkey stared at the kylin phantom for a moment. In the end, he could not suppress his fearand was about to retreat.

"Are you afraid?" A voice echoed in the monkey's brain.

"No, I'm not afraid of it. Ha-ha, I'm not afraid of it!" the monkey retorted.

"You are not me! You aren't at the peak of your skills. You have no cause to be fearless!" Anothermonkey with golden hair appeared in the monkey's mind. This monkey also balanced a long stickthat shone with golden runes on his shoulder.

The appearance of this figure caused the monkey to collapse. To him, the golden monkey was evenmore frightening than the hexahedral crystal.

"Waah... Waah..." Between sobs of desperation, the monkey groveled. "Let me go. Please let me livein the world, okay? Please!"

"Begging him is useless.” A black monkey appeared next to the golden one. He emitted a terriblefiendish nature, which was even more horrible than the creatures from the Darkest Hell.

"Inner Fiend! Inner Fiend! Please help me! I don't want to die!" the monkey begged as he knelt."From the moment I was born, I was destined to kill others. It is not in my nature to help anyone.Don't you understand?” A grim smile appeared on Inner Fiend's face.

The monkey was so desperate that he broke down completely.

Boom!

At this point, a blazing flame fell on the monkey's body.

"Siz!"

The monkey cried out in pain. However, the pain forced him to return to his senses.

"Roar!" The monkey howled as he smashed the space before running away. "If it hadn't been foryour attack, they would have killed me. Kylin from outer space, I will remember you! Thank you!Thank you! Ha-ha!"

The monkey's maniacal laughter was heard just before he disappeared.

The suspended fiery red hexahedral crystal dimmed before finally returning into the Fire Kylin'shead.

A second later, lave-like blood gushed from the Fire Kylin's mouth.

At the same time, the peerless aura disappeared.

"Old bastard, you now know who is the direct descendant of our first ancestor. I have the Fire SoulCrystal of our first ancestor. I'm the direct descendant!” The Fire Kylin gritted his teeth as he spoke.Jubilance coursed through him as he thought that he had won this time.

However, as soon as the crystal disappeared, the suppression of the patriarch of the Water KylinClan dissipated. He stood from the ground once again.

"You may have the Fire Soul Crystal, but I'm in charge of the Water Soul Crystal. Why should Ibelieve that you are the only direct descendant?" The patriarch seemed to lack confidence in hisargument.

"Are you kidding me? Don't you understand, old thing? The Water Soul Crystal has been passeddown in your clan for countless years. No one in your clan has been compatible with it. You justforcibly occupy it!

I advise you to surrender to our clan within three days. If you do that, I promise to kill only you.Otherwise, when I'm fully compatible with the crystal of the first ancestor, I'll kill all of you!"

As the Fire Kylin was severely injured, he couldn't fight the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan. And so,he disappeared after voicing his threat.

However, the patriarch felt as though he was unable to breathe. It was as if something was chokinghim.

He thought it was ridiculous that the Fire Kylin was the real inheritor of the first ancestor.

"Does our clan forcibly occupy the Water Soul Crystal?” the leader of the Water Kylin Clan askedhimself. With no one around to dismiss his fear, the patriarch began to doubt his beliefs. He evenwondered whether or not his clan was the real inheritor.

As his faith shattered, the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan felt as though his soul was about todissipate.

The earth and sky spun, and he spat out blood. As he lost consciousness, his body fell from the sky.Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Several figures flew at full speed and caught the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan before his bodycollided with the ground.

Everyone was still shocked by what had happened. They didn't know why the leader of the KylinClan had lost consciousness. Perhaps the shock had put him in this state. But they had no idea thatdepression was the cause.

In the Water Kylin Clan's territory

"Why hasn't he woken yet? My grandfather has been in a coma for three months,"

the Water Kylin said anxiously. He looked a little irritable and worried. Over the past few days, as hisfrustration mounted, the Water Kylin had broken many things and hurt many of his clansmen."Your Highness, Mr. Turtle explained that depression caused the leader to enter this state ofunconsciousness. It will not be easy for him to wake," one kylin answered.

"Humph! Bullshit! What depression? Find a better therapist for me. Quick! Or, I will kill you. Ah!"The Water Kylin grabbed the nearest Kylin and glared at him.

"What are you doing? Put him down!"

Darren called out as he entered and witnessed the Water Kylin's anger. His expression reflected thedisappointment and annoyance he felt.

The Water Kylin turned his head aside and threw the Kylin with as much force as he could muster."You are asking for a beating. Your clansmen have done their best to take care of your grandfather, but you curse and beat them at will. I want to ask, who are you? Why do you behave like this?

If you continue to behave like this, then fuck off! I will not have a friend like you!"

The Water Kylin was utterly shocked by Darren's words. A stream of bitterness and grief surged fromthe bottom of his heart.

"I'm sorry," the Water Kylin mumbled. He stood in silence, as though dazed. Soon, tears welled in hiseyes.

"Well, Darren, don't scold him too much. He is bad-tempered, after all." Finley came forward andpatted the Water Kylin's shoulder. Warmth flooded the Water Kylin's heart at Finley's gesture.Darren calmed down and found that his words were indeed too harsh.

"Darren, don't you know that the Water Kylin is careless but very loyal. He was separated from hisclan when he was young. It's not easy for him to return to his clan and have a grandfather. And nowthat his grandfather is in a coma, it's normal for him to be unable to handle the stress.” Finley usedhis spiritual sense to pass this message to Darren.

"Alas, you are right. All I saw was that his irritability led him to hurt many innocent people. Afraidthat he would continue to develop a fierce nature, I scolded him without thinking. But, I have gonetoo far by saying that he will not be my friend if he continues,” Darren replied through his spiritualsense.

Then he walked to the Water Kylin's side and patted him on the shoulder.

"My good friend, try to understand that being frantic will not help your grandfather to regain hisconsciousness,” Darren said in a softer voice. "I heard from Mr. Turtle that your grandpa faintedbecause his faith was shaken after he saw that the Fire Kylin had received the inheritance from yourfirst ancestor.

As far as I know, your clan has such an ancestral inheritance crystal as well. But, your clan hasn'tfound a pure-blood kylin to be compatible with it in many years. Perhaps you should focus on tryingto be compatible with the crystal. Once you succeed, your grandfather will feel that your clan alsohas the aura of your first ancestor, and I believe that will help him wake up.”

Tears welled in the Water Kylin's eyes, and his heart ached when he thought about Darren's earlierunkind words. However, when he heard Darren's suggestion now, he raised his head.

"Are you telling the truth?"

"Mr. Turtle knows your grandpa better than anyone else. He must be telling the truth,” Darrenreplied.

"Well, then, I must make myself compatible with the Water Soul Crystal, and then, I must kill the FireKylin!" The Water Kylin became high-spirited all of a sudden. Determination reflected in his eyes ashe glanced at Darren.

Then, he turned and walked towards the place where the old turtle man stood. Before leaving theroom, the Water Kylin said, "Master, you can hit and curse me any time you want. But don't say thatwe are not friends. I will be so consumed by sadness that I will die.”

Darren was stunned for a moment. His heart ached when he thought about how much he had hurtthe Water Kylin.

"I'm sorry, buddy." Darren murmured.
