Chapter 844 The Urgent Need To Return

The cave emitted a soft light that shone on people indescribable ease.

Barnes the Holy was standing beside Darren. The expression on his face started to look hideous and,at the same time, seemed frightened.

The kind of power he was witnessing in front of him was all too familiar. It had suppressed him formillions of years, making him hate it to the core.

"It's not him, Barnes the Holy. Calm down," Darren reminded.

"Phew!" Barnes closed his eyes and took a deep sigh of relief. "It feels exactly like the bald man'saura," he murmured.

"Let's go in there.”

Darren entered the cave first. Finley sat in silence, his legs crossed. He seemed relaxed andcomfortable.

"Check who's coming!" Darren alerted his friend. Then Finley finally shook his senses awake.

He opened his eyes and looked at Barnes, still looking very calm.

Buzz...

There was a wave of power in the air. It was a strange wave of runes that loomed in the air andgradually surrounded Barnes.

"Roar!"

Barnes looked extremely ferocious. His sharp teeth were exposed and the fiendish aura around himformed numerous terrifying faces.

Darren looked towards the direction the voice came from. But at that moment, he felt that there wasnothing darker than Barnes.

The kind of darkness Barnes was projecting could easily terrify people from the bottom of theirhearts and make their souls tremble.

Darren had no idea what was possibly happening in the dark. All he could do was watch and listenquietly.

It was only about an hour later when Barnes started to calm down. He was sitting on the ground. Hishands were clasped together and he was falling into another state.

The weird runes came out of his body and flew back to Finley.

Three days had already passed by. Time flew by quietly.

"So..That's how it is," Finley sighed as he woke up.

Darren had been impatiently waiting for the past three days.

"What's going on?" Darren walked over, closely observing everything around.

"The black monkey's body has been sealed by Heart Sutra of Prajna. Sealed with eighteen layers.""Can you possibly remove it?"

After a short pause of silence, Finley said, "I'm sorry. I can only intensify his seal. But I cannot removeit.”

"Why is that?" Darren was surprise when he heard that.

"This cultivation method is created for suppressing the fiends. If it was used to help out the fiends, Iwill fall into the Darkest Hell and wouldn't make a comeback." Finley heaved a sigh of profoundresignation.

"Alas," Darren sighed as well as he heard Finley.

Barnes opened his eyes, showing a numb expression on his face.

"Are you in despair?” Darren asked Barnes, looking at him.

Barnes grinned. "Don't be silly. I've survived millions of years. I'm already used to it," he said

"Damn monkey, as Inner Fiend, you are destined to be a fiend forever. I can't help you. I'm terriblysorry," Finley said.

Barnes continued to remain silent.

"No, you don't know that. He is not Inner Fiend. He is Barnes the Holy.” After much thought, Darrenrecalled that Finley didn't know about it.

"What?" Finley's eyes started to widen.

"Yes," Darren nodded. He then explained the whole story to Finley.

"You really are Barnes the Holy?"

Finley circled Barnes and looked at him as if he were a monster.

"What? I don't look like one?"

"I don't think so. You are just a mad monkey. You ruined Barnes the Holy's image!" Finley shook hishead.

Barnes jumped to his feet and slapped Finley's face a dozen times. "You are only assuming that I'm atall, mighty and righteous man! But you little ants mistook me for that. How could you understandthat I'm the one who has always been seeking the true nature? Sizz!"

Finley rolled his eyes.

"But you still have a chance.”

"What are you saying?" Barnes grabbed Finley's collar. "I asked you. What do you mean by that?" heasked.

"Let me go!" Finley shook off his hand. "Since you aren't the Inner Fiend, your Fiendish Root was notborn with you. As long as you remove the Fiendish Root, you won't be suppressed anymore," hesaid.

"What do you mean by 'Fiendish Root'?" Darren asked, curious and confused.

"I can't explain it either. Simply put, Inner Fiend is born and destined to be a fiend. Fiendish Root isfixed on him and could never be changed. Once the Fiendish Root is removed, Inner Fiend will die.But Barnes the Holy is different. His Fiendish Root could be removed because his fiendish naturewas acquired while he was trying to survive.”

"How could it be removed then?" Darren asked. However, Barnes seemed quite indifferent aboutthe idea.

"Destroy his Fake God Character. I got this information from Heart Sutra of Prajna," Finley said.

In his mind, Darren thought that this would be impossible.

Barnes could not come back to his peak if he destroyed his Fake God Character. It made nodifference if he couldn't regain his power.

"Don't say that! This is my destiny!" Barnes said. But even though he said it with his voice raised, hestill looked very calm.

In truth, Barnes was still thinking about another fiend whose strength could cause his Fake GodCharacter to attack. If the fiend power was powerful enough, it could completely remove thesuppressing force away.

"Darren, who was the guy that looked exactly like you last time? He attacked you! How dare he?!"Barnes jumped up as he questioned him.

"Didn't you know Hiram the Great? The first fiend ancestor is exactly the fiend that Hiram the Greathad suppressed. Without Hiram the Great, the whole world would have been destroyed. And you,along with everyone else, wouldn't have existed anymore.” Darren was confused.

Last time, Barnes the Holy said that Hiram the Great was the savior. He should have known aboutthe first fiend ancestor as well.

"Oh, I see. I was suppressed then. I didn't expect Hiram to kill such a monster. It's good that hekilled that monster. I owe him my deepest gratitude.”

"Darren, have you found the medicinal herbs? We badly need it! Hanson is very dangerous now!"The message came from that old man of the Mythological Palace.

"What's wrong?" Darren sent a message to the old man immediately.

"There's no time to explain. If you can't collect the medicinal materials within ten hours, I'm afraid...”The old man sighed.

"Sir, I have already gathered all the herbs. I'll be back soon.”

"That's great! I thought you wouldn't be able to acquire the herbs. Come back quickly.”

After receiving the message, Darren went to explain a few things to the members of the Water KylinClan. After that, he was about to leave the Raksa Sea.

"Finley, I'll leave everything to you and the monkey. I'll come back here once I'm done.”

"Be careful on the way," Finley nodded.

Darren started preparing to leave.

"Wait!" Barnes stopped Darren. "I haven't been out of the sea for a long time. I want to go out andhave a look. Take me with you," he said

"Why should I take you with me? I have something important to deal with. A senior was poisonedby the Death Palace. He needs me there as soon as possible,” Darren reasoned.

"The Death Palace?” Barnes smirked. "I used to beat their leader up,” he continued. Barnes laughedin a sinister manner.

"Right!" Darren suddenly remembered that Barnes the Holy was also poisoned with the same kindof poison as well. He had been caught to the Death Palace, but managed to replace a way to come outsuccessfully.

"I'll take you, but you have to avoid causing any trouble.” Darren had no choice but to bring Barneswith him.
