The waves roared as they surged along the blood river. Darren and the others realized they'd bewhisked away if they tried to cross it directly, and they were forced to flee downstream instead"Get them!"

All of a sudden, several booming noises came from the direction of the river.

A huge ray of blinding light came shining from the blood river.

Darren was delighted to witness what was left of the holy emperor's power.

Suddenly, piercing howls began to emerge from the river, one after the other.

Terrifying blood red figures began to rush out like a swarm of bees.

"What in the world? Why are there still living creatures in the blood river?"

Darren was shocked. As the mysterious creatures emerged, what was left of the holy emperor'spower in the blood river no longer gathered towards him. The creatures were absorbing it.

As they gorged on the holy emperor's power, their aura became stronger and their bloodlustheightened.

"What's going on?" Darren ceased. It seemed he'd just be helping the strange creatures if hecontinued to gather the holy emperor's power. The creatures would all assimilate it just by theirstrength in numbers, leaving Darren with none of it.

On the bright side, the group of warriors that were chasing them were now surrounded by themysterious creatures. None of them seemed to be near Darren and his friends.

"There are too many of these powerful creatures. What should we do?"

The group of warriors were extremely surprised. These blood red creatures had fangs and weresimilar to fish. They all had the strength comparable to the peak of four-tribulation junior holywarriors. The number of them was probably hundreds of thousands or even more!

With so many mysterious creatures, how could they contend against them?

Since escape was impossible, every warrior displayed their most powerful means of attack. Colors oflight shone one after the other as ten-thousand-foot waves rose from the river with every swoop ofa powerful attack. Many creatures were being annihilated with every attack.

They soon began to notice that their efforts bore no fruit. No matter how many they killed, itseemed like the swarm wasn't slowing down. The creatures ended up killing a few more warriorsfrom this attempt.

On Darren's side everything was still. None of the creatures were getting close to them.

Darren noticed that every time one of the mysterious creatures died, a faint holy emperor's powerpervaded.

"Assimilate.” At this point, Darren decided to activate his assimilating power again.

A faint holy emperor's power gathered and rushed into Darren at quick speed. He could feel it as itflowed into his mind.

After the holy emperor's power entered his mind, it began to condense under the effect of Darren'sFake God Character—the strange stone.

"Don't back down! Keep killing them!" Among that group of warriors were several five-tribulationjunior holy warriors. For the sake of their survival, they were bringing out their strongest attacksagainst the creatures. Every attack could kill about a thousand of the mysterious creatures.

An hour later, there were more than one hundred thousand mysterious creatures killed in the bloodriver. Darren subsequently assimilated the remnants of the holy emperor's power from the slainmysterious creatures.

"Yeah!" Darren shouted, full of strength. He was pumped up.

The next moment, he raised his hand and a tremendous force rushed out.

With an immense booming noise, blood waves rose a hundred thousand feet in the air. All themysterious creatures hiding in the blood river disappeared in an instant.

"Assimilate!”

Darren activated the assimilating power, and the holy emperor's power surged into his brain. Thepower transformed into liquid drops which attached to the strange stone within Darren.

At inhumane speed, he gave a thousand hits in the blink of an eye. If there were more creatures leftto kill, he could have hit them one hundred thousand times, even.

After this, no more mysterious creatures could be seen in the blood river. Darren absorbed enoughpower and condensed this into eight drops of the holy emperor's power.

'How strange! After condensing eight drops, why can't I increase it?"

Darren had actually gathered enough holy emperor's power to form a hundred drops, but aftereight drops, the power disappeared as a result of the strange stone's ability. It did not form anymore liquid.

'Wait a minute! The strange stone in my head has created another crystalline plane face!"

The remaining five people, with wide eyes, were utterly speechless. The fear in their eyes was evenstronger than when they were under siege by the mysterious creatures earlier. A few of them hadalready begun to break out in a cold sweat just by making eye contact with Darren.

They never thought that the weak kid from earlier that day would suddenly become so fearless andpowerful.

Even the Tiger Cat wore an unbelievably fearful expression on his face.
