Talented Martial Hero
Chapter 940 The Dark Cloud Beast

Darren killed all of the creatures that came out of the blood river with a wave of his hand. The TigerCat couldn't figure out how Darren made it.

"Is this guy a potential super emperor?" the Tiger Cat muttered. Over the years, countless talentsemerged on the continent. There were many who had the potential to become holy emperors, butfew of them were actually able to enter the Super Emperor Realm.

The Super Emperor Realm was much more superior than the Emperor Realm. The power wasunimaginable. At such an incredible level, the warrior had to either become a god or an immortal.Of course, even gods and immortals were on different levels. If warriors became gods and immortalsby this manner, they became more powerful than the creatures from outer space.

In the ancient times, there had been instances of a genuine emperor killing an immortal. Once thiskind of genuine emperor became a god or an immortal, they would become powerful withoutequal.

Those who were seen to have the potential of becoming super emperors were truly gifted warriors,a cut above all of the rest.

"Maybe someone is helping him. Ha! He might not be a potential super emperor anyways," theTiger Cat said, laughing. He thought he might have been overthinking things. He had never seen apotential super emperor before. Maybe Darren was not as great as he thought.

"Let me keep an eye on him. He's quite a talented guy.” The Tiger Cat lay at the top of a mountainand settled himself to take a nap, but he kept his spiritual sense focused on Darren.

In the blood river, Darren stood tall amidst the chaos.

The survivors shook with fear, unable to even beg for their lives.

Chaz and the others flew over to him.

"Darren, you are really an astonishing genius!" exclaimed Anthony, who had already recovered alittle.

Laura stared intently at Darren, breathless. Her heart beat wildly at the sight of him.

Only Chaz knew what was behind Darren's extraordinary power. He had already seen Darren use theholy emperor's power before. The last time, they were also at a blood river. He realized that Darrenhad the ability to borrow the holy emperor's power.

"Anthony, what should we do with them? Kill them all?" Darren asked.

Anthony stared at him, surprised that Darren would even deign to ask him what to do. He thoughtfor a moment.

"I don't think so,” answered Anthony.

Chaz rolled his eyes, annoyed.

"Anthony. They almost killed us. They would have succeeded if not for Darren. Have you forgottenwhat they did to you? You cannot show them mercy,” Chaz argued.

"Ha! You misunderstood me, Chaz. I didn't mean that I would let them go." Anthony smiled.

"Well, what do you mean?"

"The holy emperor's tomb is a dangerous place. I don't know what kind of enemies we'll encounterbut I am sure they will be powerful. Why not let them go ahead of us to see what we're up against?"Anthony looked over to Darren for approval.

Darren thought for a while then nodded. "Alright, then.”

Upon hearing this, the remaining five warriors immediately let out cries of relief. "Thank you! Thankyou for your mercy!"

They realized how important it was for them to be alive. They bowed their heads in reverence toDarren and his companions. They knew the dangerous path that lay before them but at themoment, all they cared about was being alive.

"As long as you are loyal to us, you will live. If you dare play tricks on any of us again, I will kill youat once. Understood?" warned Anthony.

"Yes, sir. We will be at your service," the five men said, trembling in fear.

After witnessing Darren's unparalleled strength, they didn't dare cross him. Darren was on anentirely different level and they both feared and admired his power.

"Well, let's move on."

After all the creatures in the blood river had been slain, the other side of the river became clear. Therestriction disappeared and Darren led everyone to the third gate.

On the other side of the river lay a desolate land. The hills were covered with a thick mist, makingthe atmosphere eerie.

Darren and his companions were confused. In this vast space, where would be the gate? How wouldthey pass through the third gate and enter the inheritance area?

"Wait, where are we? There seems to be nothing here," Chaz said.

"Something is not right. The elders told me before that the third gate is called “The Battle ofTrapped Beasts’. We have been going forward for such a long time without a beast in sight. Is itpossible we made a wrong turn?" asked Anthony.

This tomb had existed in the Thundering Beast Land for tens and thousands of years. Generations ofpowerful cultivators had explored the tomb, and some had even made it into the tomb itself.

Of course, powerful creatures from the Thundering Beast Land had entered the tomb as well. TheGrand Crow was one of them.

"Grand Crow, do you know what's going on?" Darren asked, using his spiritual sense.

The Grand Crow was still immersed in cultivation, so he did not respond. It seemed that he couldnot hear a word that Darren had said.

Darren decided to talk to the dragon ancestor. "Sir, do you know what is going on?"

The voice of the dragon ancestor resounded in Darren's mind. "This is very strange. I havediscovered many powerful beasts with my perception, but I can't see them anywhere. It's verystrange, indeed.”

"Really?" Darren was confused. "Are we under some sort of illusion?"

His words enlightened the dragon ancestor. "Yes! You are right. You are completely surrounded bythe Illusion Array. The one who released this illusion should be a powerful Dark Cloud Beast!""What is the Dark Cloud Beast?" Darren asked.

"The reason why this kind of creature is called a Dark Cloud Beast is that they have never appearedin front of others. No one can capture them, either. The Dark Cloud Beast is not strong, but it cancreate a powerful illusion. Once you are trapped in it, it's difficult to escape.

When I was younger, I was trapped by the beast and I almost died.”

Hearing this, Darren laughed

"Since you were trapped and were able to escape, surely it is not impossible to get out of thisillusion. Right?"

"Ha! You smart brat." The dragon ancestor laughed. "Don't count on me. You can replace the weaknessof the Dark Cloud Beast yourself. It wouldn't include you in the illusion for no reason. It must havesome purpose. As long as you use your head, things will be easy.”

After saying that, the dragon ancestor immediately fell asleep.

Darren thought for a while. "What other purposes can there be? It trapped us to kill us andassimilate us."

At this point, Darren thought it was easy to break the illusion.

"Let's stop here and continue our cultivation,” Darren suggested.
