The Alpha & Beta's Regret
The Alpha & Beta’s Regret – Chapter 168

Luci POV

She had not liked seeing her mother being struck by Victor and go sprawling on the ground, felt herself be shifted to their Triune state by both Kali and Alari, and all three of them snarled all aggression from where she stood, looked right at him and saw his eyes move to hers.

Saw them widen completely at the very sight of her, he was getting his first real look at her, all three of her beasts on display, the way her eyes changed, all of her. She smiled menacingly at him, he was going to die today if her mother couldn’t take him down, they would step up and finish him for her.

He was a horrible, hideous and despicable man, he did not deserve to be an Alpha to a pack, didn’t deserve to have others loyal to him and she was going to rid him from the world they lived in, if her mother couldn’t.

Though he was now distracted by the sheer sight of her appearance and didn’t see her mother coming, watched with satisfaction as she tore a chunk right out.of that man.

Smiled when she saw Fallon appear and he was now fighting against her mothers wolf. She was, from what Luci could feel, trying to get that man to shift into his wolfen form, ripping chunks out of him and clawing at him in an effort to infuriate his wolf to the surface.

But he wasn’t going to, she understood that, he had his hearing protection in, and with those iron rings on, he was making certain this was a human fight with wolfen strength. No Siren and no witch involved, he was smart enough it seemed, to know he couldn’t come close to beating them unless he got rid of everything other than their wolves.

Luci watched as Fallon put herself right in front of the packhouse and Victor was now between them, started pushing that man towards her, used her aura to try and make him submit to her. He was resisting it with all he had, and she knew it, saw him stumble backwards, snarl and stagger about as he tried to stay on his feet.

Then just started to bow down under the full force of it, took many steps backwards and knew he was trying to lessen the effects it was having on him. But what he didn’t realise was that with every step backwards away from her mother, he was getting closer to them and her beasts also wanted a piece of him.

The moment he was close enough to them, they struck him from behind, a full set of claws raked right down and across his back. He roared in pain as b***d ran down his back and he finally fell all the way to the ground, down on his knees, couldn’t fend off her mother’s aura with the pain she’d caused him at the same time.

Then they just snapped a foot right into his back and kicked him with all they had, watched him go flying face first across the ground, watched as her mother shifted back and slammed the heel of her foot down on him, right between his shoulder blades, and everyone heard him howl in pain not just him but his beast as well. Right before his entire body just went completely limp on the ground

Lucis hearing had picked up the breaking of bones when her mother’s foot had connected to him and by the look of the way he was just laying there, limp on the ground. It was highly likely that her mother had just broken his back, severed his spial cord by the look of it.

She felt the disconnection from everyone happen and knew it was over. She walked over to Victor himself and saw b***d coming from his mouth, put a foot on his side and kicked him over, uncaring of the injury he already had.

Watched as nothing about his body responded to the movement, just kind of flopped half over and lay there, he also didn’t cry out in pain, he felt nothing, it appeared he was completely paralysed from the chest down.

Luci watched as his eyes moved right to her and then to Addison he was dead and just realising it, likely hoping for a quick death, most would dish it out quickly and as painlessly as possible.

“Luci?” her mother asked.

“I would love the honour mother, to show him just what I am made of. But, do you want the honour?” she knew her mother had more pain than they did.

She saw Hannah and her sisters and Jo-anne all appear around the man, blipped themselves here now that it was over. Stared down at him, though Jo-anne only for a moment before her eyes moved out over the pack and she sighed heavily. Felt something she needed to fix in all likelihood.

Victor was not in a good state and she knew her mother was actually contemplating not killing him at all. As she looked him over, she could see that the right side of his chest was sunken in, had a punctured lung and she could hear that his breathing was not only restricted but that he was breathing b***d bubbles.

“We could leave him like this, to live out the rest of his life as a pathetic broken man with no power at all to wield.

Alone with his own thoughts, to torture himself for his own stupidity.” She heard her mother finally state as she watched her pick up her dress and put it back on. A little odd that it had not been torn to shreds, likely some sort of magic there as well. Let it go.

Watched as her mother hunkered right down next to him and looked right at him, “Got what you deserved finally…. think a life of being so useless along with his thoughts for centuries would be a good punishment for him. I could bleed him to me and order him to never ever utter a single word again. Literally leaving him with his thoughts forever and nothing else.”

She saw Victor open his mouth and try to speak, only to have more b***d froth from his mouth. He was not going to survive, was drowning in his own b***d and that was too peaceful a death for him. “Must die.” Alari stated, and Luci felt her push forward fully.

“Alright my daughter, I have injured him completely, now you may kill him for the injury sustained to little Jack.” She watched as her mother plucked the earbuds from his ears ” It’s time to die Victor.” She told him simply and then removed all the iron rings from his fingers and stood up. ” As a Triune, honey.” She stated still looking down at Victor.

“As a Triune” Alari agreed, all three of them would get to kill him that way. They looked down at Victor as they once again shifted to their true Triune form. His eyes were wide on her as he finally realised just what he had lost. The power he could never have wielded, because she had never liked him.

They directed their Siren call at him and he alone. Imbued it with their witchcraft and let him have it all. He might be paralysed from the chest down but he gasped in pain as he started to feel his own brain expand and swell inside his skull. Watched as the b***d started to seep from his ears and nose, saw those eyes go red with b***d right before he squeezed them shut against the pain. B***d dripped out from his closed lashes.

Until the first c***k of his skull was heard, then just slowed it down just a little until many cracks were heard, agony would be his death, Alari would stand for nothing less.

Then his head just disappeared into a bloodied mess of skull fragments and brain matter.

Luci stood as both Kali and Alari fell away from her, stood staring down at the mess on the ground, felt her mother’s hand in hers, looked at her and saw her smile sadly “‘m sorry Luci.”

“For what?” she asked, not really understanding.

“All the years you had to put up with him, for every time he was inside of Nightfall, for all the contact you had to have with him. the man that killed your father.”

“No need to apologise, mother. You yourself did not know.”

All their attentions were drawn to the sudden sounds of loud whistling and whirring sound that cracked and sparked behind them. They turned to see what it was And there she watched as a magical portal from another realm grew and expanded until it was at least 4 meters round

Luci watched as a tall, striking looking man stepped on through it, wearing a dark purple suit, with a golden tie and a gold crown atop his head. He turned and looked right at the six of them each in turn, and then just walked right over to them, smiled right at Jo-anne.

“Neice.” He greeted her.

“Christian.” Jo-anne greeted him back.

Luci watched as he stepped between them all and looked at the dead man on the ground. “I see I was a bit late.” He commented, as what Luci could only think of was 5 war generals forming up ranks with 20 elite warriors behind each of them.

“Mm, only for the main event.” Jo-anne stated “There is still so much pain inside this pack.”

Luci looked right at her, and saw once again Jo-anne’s eyes move away from them in the same direction as before, something else needed to be sorted out or fixed here.

“Not for you to do, Jo-anne. I will sort this mess out myself _Who is the one that slept everybody?” he asked. Seemed he knew just what was going on. Likely his own seers had told him what was going on.

“That would be I.” Hannah stepped forward. “Do you wish that I wake them?”

“Only the Alpha’s and the men here to be sent home, leave those that are pack members sleeping for now.”

“Yes, King Christian.” She nodded simply.

It did not take long for 4 Alpha’s to appear, likely felt their King was here in the pack and would be obligated to come and greet him. she stood and watched as the four of them all bowed to him “Take your wolves and go. Victor is no more.” He declared he wasn’t messing about. Didn’t want to talk about it or argue it out just laid his full Wolfen King Authority on them all. They did as was bade without issue.

Luci wondered just how many of them were relieved that Victor was dead, not one of them had seemed to care about Victor’s death, none had even looked at his lifeless body, just turned and left as told to.

“Christian, the women here?” it was Jo-anne.

“I understand Jo-anne. This pack will be given to them to do with as they please. They may burn it, destroy it or claim it and choose to live here as a full female pack. If that is what they want, they will have the full Wolfen Council’s protection for 20 years, assistance will be provided to them in training as well. I will personally send two of my best female war generals to train them up. If that is their wishes, to stay here.”

Luci sighed, there was much more going on inside this pack than she understood. “May I interrupt.” She asked, understood he was Kalis king.

“Yes, young lady…you would be?”

“Luci.” She stated simply.

“Ah, the one Victor coveted!”

“How did you know to come here, about all of this?” she was curious herself that he would just turn up and with so many at his back.

“The Wolfen Council reported all that was going on here, I have now read the statements of the women that Alpha Addison, I believe, freed from Victor. I’d like to thank that she wolf myself.” He nodded.

“Mother.” Luci stated and turned to look at her.

She stepped forward. “Your highness, I am Alpha Addison.”

“A pleasure to meet you, Alpha. Thank you for the assistance given. Sorry that I did not get here in time to aid you myself. Was a bit late I see. Though travel in my realm is different than here, slower unfortunately.”

His eyes moved back to Hannah. “You and your sisters, can you tell which are the innocent wolves, in their unconscious state?”

“Yes.”

“Then please assist me, wake the innocent. ‘Il’want a word with all of them, along with the women in the brothel not there by choice.” He shook his head “Why wolves need a brothel I don’t know.” Didn’t sound to Luci that he approved of there being one.

She watched him turn to his small army of soldiers and his generals. “Go and chain those that are still unconscious.

They will be working in the mines for the foreseeable future.”

His men dispersed without a single thought, shed not actually noticed until this very minute that they were all wearing gloves and carrying what could only be silver collars and chains.

“The rest, there are many families here your highness?”

Addison questioned him.

“I’m aware, my seers will read each and every pack member, determine the good from the bad. The ones that acted as were directed to avoid their own family’s being punished by Victor, will be spared out of acting under duress. If it is seen they will cause no harm in the future.”

He stared at her for a long moment, and then turned to look at Luci. “Your kin was here, I heard.” She understood he was talking about Hendrick now.

Christian looked back to Jo-anne “Did he attack you niece?

“No, he’s not that stupid, how did you know he was here?” she asked.

“Your mother contacted me, informed me of his indiscretion. I have people I trust on their way to the winter palace, to investigate him and his whereabouts. He had rules to follow.”

“He tried to lay claim to both Addison and Luci from my understanding.”

“Are his kin. I can smell that.” Christian nodded.

“Are now witches of the Light Kingdom.” Jo-anne informed him.

“Hmm…well then your highness. Please accept my sincerest apologies on behalf of the wolfen kingdom, for the attack on your kingdom, from one of my own. I’ll deal with him, but if I cannot replace him, I’ll be sure to let you know.” Then he inclined his head and turned and walked away to follow his own men.

“Take Addi and Jo-anne home, Luci.” Hannah told her, “my sisters and I will stay and help. Please inform Allen we are all safe and well. Tell your Mate’s we’ll likely bring back she-wolves and family’s in need of sanctuary, a new pack for them to feel safe in.”

“Offer my own pack as well, please Hannah.” Jo-anne told her. “We’ll take in any and all wanting sanctuary as well. T have us leave for home right away, be there waiting for any arrivals you or your sisters bring with you.”

Saw Hannah look at her for a moment “Yes, your highness, but I’ll have your Wolfen King portal them there, Belinda is not yet ready to meet any of us. That my Queen, will be on her terms and only her terms.”

Luci felt both her mother and Jo-anne lay hands upon her and she blipped them all back to Hannah’s garden. It was finally over, there was no more Victor for any of them to worry about.
