ANGEL POV

I was trying to solve my assignments when my phone rang. I looked at the caller and smiled when I saw it was my mate. I quickly picked it without wasting any more time. "Hello babe. Miss me already?" I teased.

"Yes so much that I need to see you right now. Can you come right now, we are about to go out myself and the boys so I wanted you to come with me." he said.

"I errrm..." I looked at my assignments feeling reluctant to leave it. But wait a minute I can leave it because this is my mate we are talking about here. I missed him so I have to go see him.

"On my way send me the address." I said to him before hanging up. I quickly stood up and went to get something to wear.

Immediately I was done dressing I picked my phone and purse and left the house to meet my mate.

When I got to where he was, I finally understood why he called me. That bitch Juliet was there. Don't ask me why I hate her so much but I just hate her with all my heart.

"Good evening everyone. So sorry for keeping you guys waiting had to quickly round up what I was doing." I apologized.

"Its fine we can still eat something because it's not yet their closing time." Smith said to me. His love for food is just on another level.

"No it's not fine. Next time be fast will you. I hate to wait for people." the bitch sorry I meant Juliet said.

I was about to answer her when my mate held my hand shaking his head. I was furious why she will talk to me like that.

"Well last we checked no one asked you to join us you decided on your own to come with us so better shut your mouth" Smith said standing up for me.

Aww he sure is the best. He sure wasn't in a good book with Juliet and it's a good thing she knew just when to shut her mouth up.

"Alright since Angel is here, Smith lead the way will you? I'm so hungry." Evans said.

He was trying to cover up for her but who cares.

We walked to the restaurant. Trust me we didn't walk with Evans and Juliet, it was just Smith, Nate and I and we were happy.

We entered smith's favourite restaurant. The waitress turned to I greeted us

"Good eveninnnnn" hmm that's strange, why did she stop. I thought.

I looked at her face and I must she looks very beautiful. She looks like a pure soul. I felt so connected to her and it felt like I knew her before. I just felt like protecting her from harm. But I don't get which harm will I protect her from? "Can't I just stay a single day without seeing your ugly face you Omega?"

I think I get it now. Evans is the threat here. But how do I go against an alpha. That's absurd.

"So you work here also?" Juliet said.

Wait how do the both of them know her. To me it's like I'm just meeting her for the very first time.

"Yes I do. Let me direct you to your table." she answered calmly. Wow she sure is amazing.

She showed us her table. As I walked pass her, I couldn't help but send her a smile. I have to make her my friend.

After serving us our meals she left. I was enjoying the cake when Evans shouted for her to come. I was startled at first but confused why he was calling her.

I was so embarrassed for Evans. I wonder what his problem was and why he was harsh to the poor girl. I wonder if she did something bad to him before.

I watched quietly how he shouted at her and even threw his cake at her. This is getting bad and we couldn't stop him why because he was the alpha's son. We just watched as the poor girl was humiliated. But I loved how it backfired right to his face. Someone had to put him right in his shoes. Serves him right.

He didn't look so confident as he was put in the right track.

"We need to go. Just look at the time everyone it's really late." Smith said saving his a*s from more disgrace.

"We will be on our way now. Sorry for the disturbance." my mate said as they left with Juliet following behind like a fly.

I didn't follow them out as I wanted to have a word with her. I watched her leave to I think the rest room to clean herself. I saw this as a chance to talk to her.

I entered the restroom and saw her washing her face with water. She raised her head to look at me. I quickly gave her some tissue to wipe her face. She took a while to collect it from me. She had a strange look on her face like she was wondering why I was helping her. She kept looking at me without collecting it from my hand.

"Take it already will you? My hand is beginning to get tired." I said to her smiling so she could feel at ease.

I was happy when she collected it and even thanked me. I watched as she cleaned her face.

I couldn't help but feel pity for her. She seems like a very nice girl so I wonder why Evans can't see that.

"I'm sorry about earlier. I couldn't stop the alpha to be from being mean to you because you know he has more authority than me." I said to her hoping she understands.

"No no no you don't have to apologized for what you didn't do. He should be the one apologizing and not you." she said.

"Well but I still feel the need to apologized because I honestly felt bad while I watched how he humiliated you." I said to her feeling so horrible.

"Why are you trying to be kind to me?"

I heard her say.

Wait am I being wrong in being kind to her? I hope she doesn't think my intensions aren't pure because of how I'm trying to show her pity.

"I'm sorry if you think I have bad intensions but trust me I don't. Infact I don't know why but since I entered this place and I locked eyes with you, I felt in my spirit to be friends with you. Infact my wolf agrees with me. We both just felt a strong connection to you." I said to her truthfully.

I knew she was confused about what I just said. I totally understand where she was coming from. It's weird for someone to just walk up to you and tell you something like that. It might sound insane.

"But you can't be friends with me. If you haven't noticed, I'm an Omega like lowest rank in the park. And you, you are at the top because soon your mate will be the gamma of the park that means you also will be the gamma female. There is no way we both can be friends because we don't fit the same level." she said to me.

"I understand where you're coming from but I honestly don't mind about your status and all. The only thing I want from you is your friendship." I tried to assure her.

"You might be bullied for being my friend." she said to me.

Wait what? Why should I be bullied for being her friend?

"And why is that?" I asked looking so confused.

"Because that's what happens when I get a new friend. They won't last long before they leave. At some point, I got to replace out that some who decided to stay longer where bullied just so they should stop being friends with me." she said. Wow I can't believe some people. Now I can't help but feel pity for her.

"Well no one can bully me except they want to face the wrath of my mate." I said to her with a smile trying to assure her that she's safe with me. I'm the gamma's mate remember.

She was silent for a long time before she finally spoke.

"Alright fine. We can be friends. But when you start getting bullied just because of me, don't say I didn't warn you because I did." she said still warning me.

I couldn't stop myself from smiling big. Finally I got a friend.

"Thank you so much of accepting. You don't know how much this means to both my wolf and I."

She too began to smile.

Just then I heard Nate's voice in my head.

"Babe where are you? Why aren't you outside? Everything alright? Should I come get you?" he asked.

"I'm fine just need to do something. I'm on my way out now." I said to him.

"Alright hurry up let's leave this place." he said.

"On my way." I said before looking at my new friend.

"Sorry about that. That was my mate he was wondering where I was. Anyway I have to go but before I go can I get your number please?" I asked?

"Aright." she said before typing her number on my phone.

I thanked her and began to walk to the door when she called me. I turned to her.

"Sorry I forgot to ask of your name." she shouted.

"Its Angel" I said to her.

"Wow your name is lovely." she said making me smile.

"My name is..."

"Rosie. I know. I saw your tag."

"Ohhh"

"I have to go before my mate barge in her looking for me." I said before leaving.

I meet Nate and Smith outside. I think Evans and Juliet has gone ahead.

"What were you doing inside?" Nate asked.

"Well nothing much. Just making a new friend." I said smiling.

"A new friend?" Nate and Smith asked together.

"Yes a new friend." I answered as we began to walk home.

"Who could that be?" Nate asked.

"The girl earlier. I can't seems to explain it but when I saw her, I felt a connection to her. She also is a nice person." I said.

"I thought I was the only one that liked her. She looked really nice. I still don't understand why Evans hates her so much." Smith said.

"Are you sure you want her to be your friend?" Nate asked me.

"Yes babe. I truly like her so much." I said.

"Alright then. Congratulations on your first friend." he said smiling.

I smiled back.

I just got a friend. I hope we have a long lasting relationship.
