LANDON POV

"Hunter I talked to my mate and she agreed to host you today." I said to him.

"For real? Wow so fast. I'm now feeling so excited to see your friendly mate. You are indeed very lucky my friend." he said smiling.

"Yes that I know. I'm so very lucky." I replied smiling too.

"I can't wait for this classes to be over. This lecturer is refusing to come now. We need to hurry up. I'm finally going to see your new place." he said sounding so excited. Justin entered the class. I was waiting for his friend to follow him behind but seconds passed and I didn't see Parker walk in. That's weird because his always with Justin. "Hey you both." Justin greeted as he sat next to Hunter.

"Justin what's up man. Is everything alright with you and Parker?" Hunter asked.

He also noticed what I noticed also. Good thing he asked for both of us.

"Everything is alright. Why ask?" Justin asked looking confused.

"Well it's strange that you walked in here without your friend that's why I asked. You both are always together so it's weird that you are alone." Hunter said.

"Oh about that, he actually went to the market to buy some meat because that's what he wants to eat today. He doesn't have any class this morning that's why he left this early" he answered. "It's a good thing that his not here. At least we have no one to bother us." I said.

"Exactly my point. My ears won't bleed from his trash talk." Hunter said with a smirk on his face.

Finally the teacher walked in a classes began. I tried my best to concentrate but half if my mind was thinking of my mate.

Unlike yesterday, today actually went faster than I expected it. Finally it was time to go home.

"Before we leave, can you hold on so I can change my clothes and drop my bag before we leave?" Hunter asked.

"Alright but you have to be fast. I want to go home fast." I said.

He rushed to go change and he was true to his word. He didn't stay long. We walked to where my car was packed and I drove us back to my home.

When I packed in front of the house, Hunter came down and kept on looking at the house.

"Wow your house looks small but it looks beautiful from outside." he said.

"That's true. Let's go inside already." I said before walking to the door. I opened it and the first thing that hit me was the delicious aroma of food that filled the whole place.

"Woah is it only me that is perceiving the heavenly aroma. Gosh Landon I'm so freaking hungry. You didn't tell me your wife was such a great cook." Hunter whispered so I could only hear him.

I smiled at him before I dropped my bag on the couch.

"Buttercup I'm home." I called out knowing very well that she didn't hear when we entered because she doesn't have a mate.

She rushed out of the kitchen wearing an apron. I opened my arms waiting for her to hug me but to my greatest surprise she pushed me off the road and walked straight to Hunter. "Hello you must be Landon's friend. Nice to meet you. I'm Miranda, but you can call me Mira." she said smiling at him.

Hunter lips went up as his eyes were fixed on only her.

"Its a great pleasure and privilege to finally meet you Mira. I have heard so many stories about you from Landon and don't worry they are all good stories. Although he missed out a very important information." Hunter said.

What the hell is going on right in front of me? Didn't Mira see me before she passed me? Why are they becoming more friendly with each other? And what the hell is Hunter saying? What is the very important information I missed out? I thought so confused. "Okay?? Now can you please tell me what this important information is." Mira said to him smiling.

"He didn't tell me how very beautiful you are. I mean yes he said you were beautiful several times but he never told me you looked like a beautiful goddess. Damn you have a beautiful color of eyes and your long hair. Shit Landon you are one lucky bastard." Hunter said smiling at Mira without removing his eyes from her.

I rolled my eyes at his cheesy line. Here I thought it was something so important. Although he was right my Mira was indeed a beautiful goddess. But he didn't have to insist on it. It sounded like he was hitting on her.

"You are such a sweet gentleman. Thank you for your sweet words." Mira said smiling with red cheeks.

I didn't want to because I trust my mate and maybe I trust Hunter a little but I couldn't help but feel left out and jealous.

"Your house looks so beautiful and it scents nice." he said before sitting on the couch.

"Thank you. Sorry I have to go and check the food I'm preparing. I should have made the food since but something happened in the market that's why it's still cooking." she said giving him a nervous smile.

"It's fine Mira. I don't mind waiting at all besides I'm not in a hurry to leave so can take you time." he said to her.

Mira turned and walked pass me and entered the kitchen. She still didn't say a single word to me.

I turned to look at Hunter to him smiling like some loser that he is. Yes I was angry and frustrated that he has my mate's full attention.

"Will you wipe that smile from your face. I wonder what's amusing you." I said rolling my eyes.

"Landon you are so fucking lucky. Your have the perfect mate." he said.

Yes I get it was a harmless compliment but I wasn't smiling at all.

"Listen not because my mate has your time that doesn't give you the right to be so happy. If you over smile with my mate,I'm kicking you out of my house. You hear me." I said to him glaring at him.

"I have heard you. Now can you stop glaring at me like that? You look like you are looking at your enemy when I'm your friend. Don't worry I won't do anything to you mate. I respect you both privacy and boundaries." he said with sincerity in his voice. "I have to go change. I will be back shortly." I said before going upstairs. I removed my clothes and changed into something light.

I walked back to the living room only to see Hunter and Mira sitting talking and laughing.

They sure were having so much fun forgetting all about me.

I let out a sigh and went to sit close to them. It was still hurting me that Mira is yet to say a single word to me. My wolf was hurt also. I'm guessing the reason she isn't bothered is because she has no wolf to inform her about how we feel so she doesn't know. She stood up and walked to the kitchen again. After some minutes passed, she called Hunter and I to the dinning table. Now that's the first time she actually called for me.

We sat at the dinning table. She sat beside me and looked at me before she smiled.

"Are you okay? You don't look like your having fun." she said looking worried at me.

"Am not fin because I miss my mate and it seems she doesn't care about me. The only one you gave your attention to was Hunter forgetting about me." I said sadly.

"I didn't know you were feeling that way. I am sorry for giving your friend all my attention without looking at you. I'm so sorry it won't happen again." she said as she ran her hand on my thigh.

Her touch alone made me forget that I was angry a while ago. I smiled at her.

"You don't need to apologize buttercup." I said to her smiling.

"Now I want you to guess something." she said smiling.

"What could that be?" I asked confused.

"I have a new friend." she said sounding so happy.

"Really? That's good news buttercup. Where is she living? Why didn't you come along with her?" I asked happy that at least she will have something to talk to in my absence. She sure knew how to draw people closer to her. I don't know now if it's a good thing or a bad thing. I just hope now one will want to harm her or hurt her in any way during my absence..

"Actually it's a he and not a she. And I didn't ask for his address. I only got his number." she said.

Male friend? What am I going to do about this?

"Buttercup why a male friend? I thought it was a female?" I asked her.

"Well we didn't plan to be friends in the first place. Just that after our huge disagreement, he had no other choice but to depend on me." she said confusing me.

"What disagreement?" I asked her.

"Well he was rude and arrogant and wanted to deprive me from the meat which I saw first and touched first. So I pulled out his hair to show him who the boss is." she said with her shoulders up.

"You fought with someone in the mall? Buttercup hope he didn't hurt you? Are you fine?" I asked her feeling so worried.

"I wasn't injured but he was. Badly. So I decided to take care of him and we got talking. I found out a lot of things from him that really moved me so I decided to be of help to him which made us friends." she replied.

"You are a pure soul Mira. Not every woman will do what you did earlier to the man." Hunter said. He was right once again. My mate sure was the purest soul.

"So what's his name?" I asked her.

"His name is Parker."

Immediately I heard that name my heart skipped a beat. I turned to look at Hunter and he also had the same look on my face.

I hope this is a different person. It's not who I think it's is.
