Chapter 245

MIRA

POV

It's been weeks now since the rogue attack. Everything is now back to normal like nothing ever happened before. Everyone were all living their normal lives like they used to before.

For me it took me two weeks before I could get myself back together. It was really a rough moment for me well because I have never seen a rogue and it was my first time being attacked. I will forever be grateful to Landon for always being there for me through everything.

Although he had school which he needed to focus on because of his upcoming examination, he still created enough time for me and was patient with me to slowly heal.

Right now he is so busy because he has started writing exams. He is always reading everytime he returns back from school. If he isn't reading then his either eating or using the toilet or sleeping.

I can't wait for this examination to finish. I miss spending time with him. I can't complain to him because I knew how important it was for him to pa*s. He had so many competitors who he has to go ahead of them. He has to give it his all.

But still I still miss having long chats with him, going out for walks, playing around and so on.

I let out a sigh and picked my phone. It's best to leave this house than to stay here in boredom.

I dialed the number of the one person I could only call in this state.

"Hello Tina. What's up?" I said smiling the moment she picked my call.

"Am good and you?" she asked.

"Am super bored right now. I don't know if you are at home so I can come over so we can spend some time together?" I asked her.

"Sure you can come over. I am also bored here and need company badly. Hurry up will be expecting you." she answered.

"Great. See you in a bit." I said before hanging up.

I quickly changed into a clean crop top and skinny jeans. I wore my shoes and fixed my face and hair. After I was done, I picked my bag and phone then left the house locking it well.

I got to Tina's house and knocked.

"Coming." she shouted from inside.

I waited for her to open the door.

"You are here finally. Come in." she said as she walked inside her house. I followed her in and shut the door behind me.

I sat down on the couch and dropped my bag and phone.

"You look sick? Are you okay?" I asked her as I looked at her face. She looked so pale and her eyes were not bright like before.

"I don't know Mira. I feel so weak and tired. This morning I vomited all the food I ate." she said.

"Does Parker know about this?" I asked feeling worried for her health.

"No I couldn't tell him because he has enough on his plate already. He is writing exams and he also has training to focus on. This challenge thing that he wants to do with his dad is really eating him up and he is training so hard. I'm scared he will push himself so hard that it will be hard for him to come back. He is also so determined that I can't stop him. I really don't think it's a good idea to bother him right now by telling him how am feeling. I'm sure after taking some drugs I will be fine." she said smiling.

"But what if it's something serious? Remember you guys with wolves hardly fall ill except it's an incurable disease that will lead to death, injuries or......." I covered my mouth when I realized something.

"Or what? Mira you are scaring me with your actions. Tell me already." she said looking scared.

"Calm down it's nothing serious. You know what, go get dress. We need to go buy something." I said to her.

"What is that?" she asked.

"Don't worry you will replace out when we get there. Now hurry up. We don't have time." I said to her.

She stood up and looked at me trying to figure out my plan but I smiled covering it all up. She let out a sigh, shake her head before walking inside.

I just hope what's wrong with her is what I think it is. I don't want to believe she's drying because she's too young to die.

After some minutes had gone, she came out of her room dressed in a shirt and jeans. She looked so nice but you could still tell that she's sick from her eyes.

"Am ready. Let's get going." she said.

I stood up and picked my phone and bag before we both left the house. I took us to a shopping mall.

"What do you want us to buy here?" she asked looking confused.

"Don't worry you will see it soon. For now just keep following me." I said as we walked around trying to replace what exactly I was looking for.

I finally found it. I picked six of what I needed.

"Erm sorry to ask but Mira why are you picking pregnancy tests? Are you pregnant?" she asked opening her eyes so wide in surprise.

"Of course not. I haven't mated with Landon yet remember. These aren't for me. They are all for you." I answered smiling brightly at her as I hoped inside me that I was right.

"What? I am what you say? Are you kidding me right now? Why will you think such a thing? It's not true so stop wasting your money on these pregnancy tests. Let's get going since there's nothing left to buy." she said as she tried to drag my hand.

"You need to calm down Tina. I really think you are pregnant. You and Parker have been having sex so there's high possibility that you are pregnant. The symptoms are very clear. We only need to confirm it right now. So allow me to do what I want while you follow me behind. Okay?" I said to her.

"Okay I get it." she answered looking down.

I quickly went to pay for it before we went back to her house. I gave her the pregnancy test kits all of them and told her to follow the instructions she has seen on it.

She went to the toilet and after some time she returned back with the kits in a tray. We were to wait for some time before checking. I noticed Tina won't stop shaking her leg ever since she came back and sat down. I guess she's so anxious of what the results will be. It was finally time. I quickly checked it myself and saw it was all the same thing. Two lines were on all of them.

"What does it say?"

I turned to look at Tina. She was looking so nervous to hear the results.

"Hold on I need to check the meaning of the lines am seeing on this kits." I said as I took the pack of the pregnancy test and began to look for where they explained the lines.

I dropped it and picked my phone to browse on the results. I covered my mouth when I found out what the results was.

"What is wrong? Why are you closing your mouth? Did something bad happen?" Tina asked.

"Tina it says that this two lines means you are pregnant. And all the kits have desame lines. Not one is different from the other. Meaning you are really pregnant. Congratulations girl." I said excitedly.

She didn't look as excited as I was. She slowly sat down with a look on her face that means her mind wasn't here.

"Hey Tina what's wrong?" I asked her before sitting next to her.

"Mira what do I do? I know nothing of being a mother. I have never thought of being one this early after reconciling with Parker. What do I do? How am I going to do this? What about Parker? What will he say when he replaces out that am pregnant? We haven't talked about having kids this early. He has so much on his mind right now and having a baby is definitely the least of it. How are we going to do? I am so worried and confused right now Mira." she said looking more pale than she was looking earlier.

"Tina please you need to calm down. I am sure you will be a wonderful mother so don't worry about anything. You thinking about how to be a mother to your unborn child already shows how ready you are for motherhood. You just need to be strong not only for yourself but for your baby. For Parker, I'm not sure what his response is but I'm sure you both will be fine." I said to her.

"I should have known it will come to this. I should have stood my ground and insisted to take birth control instead of relaying on a condom. It's all Parker's fault. Now I'm pregnant just when I'm not ready." she said before she started crying.

"Tina stop crying please. It hasn't gotten to that. Please clean your tears." I begged her. I won't know how to console her if she continues to cry.

"Mira I'm going to be a mother. I feel so happy, so excited and at the same time so scared." she said still crying.

Now I can tell it's the pregnancy hormones that are doing their job that's why she's crying. Now I wish Parker will just come back home and take over because I honestly don't know how to do this.

"Mira are you listening to me?"

I turned to her.

"Huh? What were you saying?"

"I said because of the friendship we have, I will give you the chance to select any baby's name of your choice. I will love you to be my baby's aunt." she said smiling.

I smiled feeling so touched by the news.

"Thank you Tina for the opportunity."

"You are welcome. Now I think am fine. After crying I feel better. Can you help me with ideas on how to announce the news to Parker? I can't wait to tell him. Although I'm scared of his reaction." she said. I was glad she has stopped crying now. At least I can rest.

"Alright I will help you. I'm sure he will be so surprised and happy." I said wishing it will be true in my heart.
