Chapter 25

ROSIE

POV

It's Monday. Another day that is the beginning of the week. Which means school and work. Now I wished we had more weekend days and not only two.

I took my bath before going downstairs to cook some light breakfast. Well thanks to Maria, my kitchen was full with different foodstuffs. When Angel saw the condition of my kitchen, she went home and came back with both Smith and Nate as they all carried different groceries which they bought.

I decided to prepare noddles since it was fast. As I was making, Maria walked in rubbing her sleepy eyes.

"Morning Rosie." she greeted.

"Morning Maria. Hope you slept well?" I asked her.

"Yes I did. Like a baby. The room you gave me is truly amazing and warm. Thank you for having me here." she said.

"Can you stop thanking me over and over again. I should be the one who should be thanking you because I'm no longer lonely here." I said to her smiling.

"Hmm what are you cooking? It smells so nice." she said.

"Just noddles so that we can eat before I head to school." I said to her.

"Oh school. I'm so sad you are going to leave me all alone in this house." she said sadly.

I was also feeling sad to leave her behind. I didn't want her to stay alone. And there was no way I could ditch school even though it's just a day.

"Don't worry, I will be back before you know it." I tired to reassure her.

The noddles were ready so I dropped the pot in the middle of the table. We began to eat when we heard a knock on the door.

'who could that be? I mean this is so early and I hardly have guests so who could this be?' I thought before standing up to check.

I opened the door and was so surprised to see it was Smith smiling at me.

"Morning Rosie. Hope you slept well?" he said.

"Yeah I did. What are you doing here so early?" I asked him.

"Well aren't you going to invite me inside before asking me too many questions. Come-on it's cold out here." he said.

"Well sorry my bad. Come on in." I said as I opened the door wide and gave him space to pass before closing the door.

He looked around and stopped the moment his eyes found who he was looking for. Maria.

"Morning Maria." he said with a full smile.

She smiled a little and said no word.

"Well I'm here for you." he said to her.

"Me?" she asked looking confused.

"Yes you. I was able to talk to my parents and they agreed to pay for your school fees. They also talked to the school management who agreed that you can start classes immediately." he said. I was so surprised and Maria had the same look which I had on my face.

"Are you serious, I can go to school?" she asked.

"Yes you can." he answered her.

"But how? I don't have books or anything. How do I rush to get them them?" she said looking so confused.

"Calm down will you. I have already gotten that covered. Here I bought a bag and some books for you." he said showing his other which he has been hiding behind him the whole time. Maria was so excited. I was also happy for her that she was going to go to school.

"I need to get ready. I can't get late on my first day." she said as she ran upstairs.

Smith laughed.

"Shes so cute." he said.

"Yes she is. Thanks you for making her happy. I was actually thinking of how I was going to leave her behind." I said to Smith.

"Well she's my mate so I would have to care for her. Anyway I have to go back and prepare for school so I won't be late already. Will catch up with you two later." he said before leaving.

Smith was really a kind mate who cares so much for his mate. Maria is very lucky to have him.

I waited patiently for her to finish dressing up before she came down looking so beautiful.

"Wow Maria you look good." I complimented her.

"Thank you Rosie. Well I tried my best because first impression matters remember."

I laughed at her.

"Of course they do. Come on we have to move already."

We both left the house and headed to school. When we arrived school, I went to the parking lot to check if Nate or smith's car was packed. But didn't replace any. I was walking to where Maria stood when a incoming bike speed towards me. I thought it will turn but it never did instead it came with full speed. To avoid being injured or killed, I jumped to the side. Injuring my arm thanks to my great fall. I looked up and immediately I could tell who it was. He stopped the bike right in front of me.

"Oh sorry my bad, I didn't see you there." the arrogant jerk said as he found this as a joke.

People had already gathered around. It was so embarrassing. I couldn't stand the attention I was getting.

I was about to stand up when I heard a crack sound. I looked up and my eyes went wide.

What has Maria done?

She's threw a stone at the alpha to be. This can land her in prison or she can be punished for that.

I knew very well that he was very angry. It was so obvious. I turned to look for Maria and oh my that girl will be the death of me. She stood right there glaring at the arrogant jerk with anger in her eyes.

She walked to where he stood and stood right in front of him. She was even brave to put her hands on her waist.

"Are you blind or something? Did you realize that you almost caused an accident a while ago?" she said to him with a frown on her face.

No she shouldn't put herself into trouble for supporting me. He might bully her next and I don't want her to face what I am facing in his hands.

"Watch your tone young lady. You have no idea who I am and what I can do." he said to her looking so angry.

I thought Maria will apologize to him immediately but she laughed. Like she seriously laughed at me. She sure is testing his waters. I never knew she was this bold. Where did my shy and quiet Maria go too? I had to ask myself.

"I didn't mean to laugh sorry but you are just so funny. Well whoever you are I don't care. Next time watch where you going to. If you can't drive a bike then don't drive it at all so you won't kill someone." she said to him as she looked serious.

She watch her walk to me and pull me up on my feets. She began to walk with me to class leaving the arrogant jerk behind.

When we entered my class which was now ours, I just didn't know how but smith's parents were able to fix her class to be the same with mine

I decided it was time to talk to her.

"Maria what you did earlier, I liked it but you shouldn't do that next time. That was the alpha to be who you just disrespected. You can be punished for that do you know that?" I asked her.

"Well I don't care who it was. He shouldn't have drove so carelessly like that. He could have killed you you know." she said rolling her eyes.

"Maria I get you love me and all but please I don't want you to put yourself in any danger because of me please." I begged her.

"Alright fine will try my best." she said.

I smiled at her before bringing out my books from my bag.

Just then the arrogant jerk walked in with Juliet holding hands. Sun was so angry seeing the both of them holding hands together. She hated the fact that her mate was touching other girls not her.

After the arrogant jerk left, Juliet dropped her bag and walked to where I sat. I can smell trouble coming from her.

"Hey you Rosie, I'm warning you for the last time never you jumped in front of Evans. I know you are trying to make him notice you but that won't work because he belongs to me and he has eyes for only me. So I'm warning you don't try what you did earlier." she said to me.

"Well Incase you didn't notice, Rosie here didn't jumped in front of an incoming bike just for attention. It was your crazy boyfriend who was the one who speed to her. So why don't you go and warn him not to try that again." Maria said looking so angry. "And who are you?" Juliet asked eyeing Maria.

Maria stood up with her head high as she walked to Juliet and stood right in front of her.

"Me? I'm Maria, Smith's mate which makes me your beta female." she said to Juliet.

Juliet laughed.

"And so what if you are the beta female? I am the one with the big guns. I'm dating the alpha and will soon be the Luna so better give me the respect." she said.

"I will only respect you after you are made luna but for now, you are nothing. Now can you kindly excuse us, we were talking when you interrupted us." Maria said to her.

I smiled at her feeling so proud that she could stand up for herself.

Juliet went to her seat leaving us alone. I smiled at Maria and rubbed her back.

Finally lessons started. And then break came.

Maria and I went to the cafeteria to have something that when Angel joined us. After we had sat down, Nate and Smith joined us too.

Except the arrogant jerk who just stood there with his tray on his hands. I'm very sure that no matter what happens, he will never join us. Because I'm sure his already disgusted just seeing me there. He was about to turn when Juliet joined him.

"Evans where are you going to? Sit down let's have fun with your friends." She said.

And everybody's mood was ruined by her presence. We all stood up carrying our tray as we changed table. Leaving her and Evans to enjoy the other table.
