POV

"Baby you need to rest. Since you woke up, you have been working. Rest for heaven sake." I heard my sweet mate say but I wasn't ready to listen to him not when I'm cooking. "Baby I'm talking to you." he said increasing the volume of his voice.

"I know but am sorry I can't stop working. I just need to finish preparing my son's favourite dish. Don't worry this is the last thing I have to do. I will rest after this." I said to him.

I'm super excited that my baby Landon is coming back with Mira. When I heard that they were already on their way, I began to mwke arrangement for their arrival. It's been months I saw them. Since Sally's burial. I'm so happy that I will get to see them again. How I missed them both so much.

"That is the same thing you said when you were arranging his room. You insisted that it was the last thing you will do before you rest but after that you have done like three chores before this. You aren't strong as before baby. You need to take care of your health." he said sounding worried.

"I am being careful. I will stop working when I feel tired. Don't worry. Just sit down and wait for me." I said to him.

"Like I will listen to you. If you have refused to rest, I will also not rest. I will stay here and help you out." he said as he raised his sleeves up.

"But honey....." I started before he interrupted me.

"Yes baby."

"You should rest. You just returned from work. You should be resting not working." I said to him.

"Well since my mate has refused to rest, I will also not rest too. So just let me help you. I won't stop working till you stop." he said knowing fully well what he is doing.

He knew I will definitely fall for it and stop working because I hate it when he is overworking himself.

I let out a sigh and concentrated on my cooking so I can finish fast.

With Evans help, I was able to finish my cooking faster than expected. We both cleared the kitchen before going upstairs to our bedroom.

"I will turn on the tap for you to take your bath. Okay?" I said as I walked to the bathroom.

I turned the tap on and waited for the bath tub to full before turning it off. I want back to see he was already wearing just his towel. He had undressed already.

"Your water is ready. Go and have your bath." I said to him but he didn't move. He just kept looking at me.

"What is it? Why are you looking at me like that? I thought I just informed you that your water is ready. Go now before your water gets cold." I warned him.

"Am not going without you baby. Undress and let's go take our bath together." he said still sitting and watching me.

"But honey not now. Just go and bath without me." I said to him.

"No I won't bath without you. I am not going to do anything to you we will just have our bath and leave the bathroom." he said.

I let out a sigh of defeat knowing that he won't listen to me and he won't bath until I go with him.

I undressed and together we went to the bathroom and took our bathe together. He was true to his word. He didn't do anything to me we only took our bath and left the bathroom.

We just finished dressing when I heard a loud horn.

My babies are here. I didn't know when I left the room. I ran downstairs fast and opened the door.

"MUMMMMMM" Mira shouted as she got down from the car and ran to hug me.

"MIRAAAAAA." I shouted too as I hugged her tightly.

"You both are finally here. I missed you all. What happened that you didn't arrive earlier? You came late. Hope the road was smooth?" I asked her.

"Yes mum it was. We made few stops that's why we are just coming now. Sorry if we made you feel worried." she apologized.

"Oh no it's fine. You don't have to apologize. I'm happy you both are all here. You this boy are you going to just stand there or you will come hug your mother?" I asked my handsome boy who smiled just like how his dad smiles at me. He walked to me and hugged me with his tall and big body.

"Hello Mum. How have you been? Hope you have been taking care of yourself and your health?" he asked me.

"I have been doing so well. Don't worry I have been taking care of myself. Remember I have your Dad, your brother and sister to monitor me and ensure that am doing fine." I replied.

"She is right son. If we haven't stayed close to her to stop her from doing somethings she would have injured herself. Like she almost did now. Baby how many times have I warned you not to run from the stairs. You should walk and not run. What if something bad had happened to you like you tripped and fell, it would have been very bad and you would have broken some of your teeth or bones. Stop running baby stop running." Evans said behind me.

"Fine I will stop running." I said to him.

"Dad how have you been?" Mira asked him.

"Am doing fine Mira dear. How are you and how was your stay over there? It's good to have you both back home." Evans said smiling at her.

"It was fine over there and indeed it's good to be back home. I feel so at peace and at rest knowing am home." she said smiling.

"Lets go in." I said to them.

"You go in while I get the things we brought." Landon said.

We all left him and entered the house. I smiled when I noticed that Mira scent has changed which is surprising. I didn't expect that after she mated her scent will change like us because she's human. But then surprising it changed. That means that they have done the deed. I'm so happy for them because I almost got worried when we visited them and I noticed they haven't done anything but then I remembered that I trained my son to be a gentleman so he might likely be waiting for her to be ready. Now all my babies have mated. What's left is grandkids. I smiled just thinking about holding my babies's babies.

I felt a hit on my arm. I turned to see Evans looking at me with his eye brows up.

"What are you thinking of that is making you to smile like this when I'm right in front of you?" he asked through our mind link.

I almost laughed at my possessive mate but then Mira was in front of us so I had to hold it in.

"I was only thing of us having grandkids soon." I answered him.

"Is any of our kids expecting a pup?" he asked looking surprised.

"I don't think so but Landon and Mira have mated so maybe we will be expecting some good news from them soon. Who knows?" I told him.

"Oh I see. But aren't they too young to have a pup right now? Maybe it's because they are my kids but I still see them as children." he said.

"I feel the same also honey." I said to him.

"So Mum how's Luca, Layla and the rest?" Mira asked making me to stop mind linking Evans.

"They are fine. Layla just got admitted to medical school. So she has been with classes. We hardly see her all the time like we use to." I answered her.

"That is wonderful news. I didn't know she passed the examination. I'm so happy for her." she said smiling.

"My little princess is very brilliant right Mira?" Evans asked her smiling.

He won't stop bragging about Layla ever since he heard that she passed.

"Yes she is so brilliant Dad. I'm sure she takes after you." Mira said making Evans to laugh.

After Landon was done packing everything from the car to the house, he joined us and I made them eat first before they went to their rooms to rest since they had a very long trip.

Evans and I stayed in the living room to watch some movie before heading to bed. Half way in movie, I couldn't help myself. I closed my eyes and allowed sleep to carry. I don't know how long I have been sleeping but I woke up when I felt someone trying to carry "Evans?" I asked to be sure with sleep in my eyes.

"Yes baby it's me. Sorry to wake you up. I wanted to take you up so you can sleep well. It's late already." he said.

"You don't need to carry me. Don't worry I can walk on my own." I told him.

"But I want to carry you like old times." he said.

"That was back then when you were still stronger. Now your back is weak to carry me." I told him.

"How do you know that? Have I ever complained to you about my back? You shouldn't say that because my back is still strong. We can try it so you can see. Let me carry you upstairs." he said.

"Are you sure you can do it? Am scared you might drop me on the floor because I'm heavy." I teased.

"I can never drop you on the floor besides you aren't so heavy so I can definitely carry you to our bedroom. Now let's go."

He picked me up. I held his neck tightly scared that I might fall. He smiled looked at me. He began to walk with me. He began to walk with me upstairs. When he was halfway, he stopped. I thought he was tired and was about to laugh at him but he just adjusted the way he held me and continued walking without saying any word. He successfully carried me to our bedroom and dropped me on the bed.

I clapped and cheered him.

"You indeed are strong my amazing mate. I thought you would drop me but you did. I'm amazed. Come let me massage you because you need it."

He quickly laid on the bed and pulled his shirt before laying on his stomach.

"Please massage me well, I feel stiff all over. I really think I'm losing my strength. I almost gave up at some point but I needed to make you proud." he said closing his eyes.

I began to laugh at him as he smiled with his eyes still closed.
