MIRA

POV

I woke up with a bright smile on my face. It is really nice to sleep at home. I don't know why am feeling this way but the feeling is so nice. I turned to see my mate still sleeping with his mouth opened like a little baby. He must be really tired driving and all. I decided not to bother him.

I got out of the bed and went to take my bath and get dressed because there's no way I will leave this room without looking presentable. This isn't our home where's it's just Landon and I were living together just the both of us.

I dressed into a beautiful gown after I was done bathing. I went out of the room leaving Landon who was still sleeping.

I went straight to the kitchen first and wasn't surprise to see Mum already up and working around.

"Good morning Mum." I greeted her making her turn to look at me.

"Mira dear good morning. You woke up so early infact earlier than I expected. I thought you will sleep in because of how the journey was yesterday." she said smiling at me.

"I actually still so well Mum. Sleeping at home feels so different and it's nice so I rested well." I replied her.

"Oh that's good to hear. Alright then what are you doing here then? What about Landon?" she asked.

"I came to see if there's something I can help you with. For Landon, he is still sleeping. He has been driving for hours so he deserves to rest that's why I didn't wake him up." I answered. "Okay then. Well just help me fry this chicken." she said.

I began to help her cook. We finished cooking every dish and began to rest while we wait for Dad and Landon to wake up so we can eat together. We didn't leave the kitchen though. We just sat there and began to talk. Mum kept telling me stories of what have been happening in the pack.

"Oh that remains me. How about that friend of yours? Erm is it Trisha or Tisha?" she asked.

I laughed at her. I understood who she was asking about.

"Mum her name is Tina not Trisha nor Tisha." I corrected her.

"Exactly Tina. I can't believe that I actually forgot about her name. Well how is she?" Mum asked.

"She is fine. She is expecting a child." I answered.

"She is pregnant? Wow that's good news. I'm so happy for her. She seems like a good and well trained girl. I wish I can see her but I know I can't see her anytime soon. Anyways please if she calls anytime, I would love to talk to her also. Don't forget." "Yes Mum I won't forget." I smiled.

"So I am guessing I should also be expecting a grandchild from you right? She said with a smile on her face."

I mistakenly choked on my saliva and began to cough. My chest began to hurt as how I was coughing so hard. She rushed to get me a glass of water which I drank in a hurry.

"Take your time to drink the water so it won't enter the wrong pipe." she said as she rubbed my back gently.

I calmed down slowly and finally stopped coughing.

"You remind me so much about myself back then. I also act that way when Evans Mum, Isabella would ask me questions of when will I give her grandchildren. Don't worry I am not trying to rush you into getting pregnant. If you want to get pregnant right now or later, it's fine. I'm totally okay with your decision and that of Landon. So just relax and calm down. Okay?" she asked with a warm smile on her face.

I smiled back at her and nodded.

"Thank you mum for your understanding." I said to her smiling.

"You are welcome. Now I think I can't wait for those two boys again. We need to wake them because I am starving and we can't eat without them. You go wake that son of mine while I go handle his Dad." she said standing up.

I laughed and stood up also. We both went upstairs but she went to her bedroom while I went to Landon's room. I entered and still saw him sleeping peacefully holding my pillow tightly.

I walked close to him and shaked him lightly.

"Landon wake up your mum wants you to go downstairs and have breakfast." I said to him softly.

He didn't say a word to me. He only turned to face the wall completely ignoring me I like I wasn't standing there. He didn't even open his eyes to look at me.

"Landon I said wake up. Your Mum is waiting for you. You have slept for long." I said shaking him harder.

He turned and opened his eyes looking at me. Just when I was about to rejoice that I successfully woke him up, he held my hand and pulled me to the bed quickly caging me with his strong arms and legs.

"Landon no I didn't say I want to join you on the bed. I meant let's go and have breakfast right now. Hey stop closing your eyes. Open them right now. Landon. Sweetie. LANDONNNNNN." I shouted into his ear when I noticed he wasn't opening his eyes at all as the sleep was too deep for him.

He quickly opened his eyes when I shouted.

"What the hell buttercup? You are so loud. Can't you reduce your voice a bit? I need to sleep am having a headache." he said holding his head.

I touched his head and noticed he was running a temperature which is so unlike him. What is going on here? I have never seen him or hear say he is sick.

"Are you okay sweetie? Apart from the headache you are feeling where hurts again?" I asked him feeling worried.

"No where hurts just my head. You are already sounding worried already. Don't worry about me. I will be fine. I just need to rest for a while am sure I will be fine by tomorrow. Trust me." he said closing his eyes.

"You have to eat something before you fall asleep then. Hold on,I will get you something to eat so that after you are done you will rest." I said.

Before he could say anything I quickly rushed out of the room and rushed to the kitchen. Dad had already joined Mum and they were both talking and laughing in the dinning room.

I rushed to the dinning table.

"Mira dear it's good you are finally here. We couldn't start eating without you and Landon. Where is Landon? Why is he walking so slow to get here already?" she asked.

"Mum actually Landon can't come down right now because his having a headache. I just want to get him some food so he can eat and sleep back maybe when he wakes up he will get better." I said to her.

"Oh what is wrong with that boy? Please try to take care of him for me Mira. If you need any assistance please let me know my dear." she said.

"And rest too because you don't look so good yourself." Dad added.

"Yes mum. Yes Dad" I answered before picking up the tray which I arranged the plates of food for Landon. I went back to the room and saw his both eyes were closed. I quickly dropped the tray and walked to him. "Hey Landon open your eyes. Am back." I said to him.

I was happy when I saw him open his eyes. At least he wasn't sleeping. He was waiting for me to return.

I made him sit up and began to feed him like he was a little baby but I wasn't complaining. I wanted to take care of him because right now he needs care and attention.

He finished his meals and laid down to sleep. I joined him on the bed and moved his head to my chest so he can rest his head on my chest while I massage his head lightly.

"Thank you for doing this buttercup. I'm sorry I fell sick. I promise that I will be fine by tomorrow so I won't stress you because you are already looking stressed already." he said weakly as he shut his eyes.

"Am not complaining about taking care of you. Just get well so I can rest too. If you don't want to stress me get well as soon as possible so I can be fine." I said to him before kissing his forehead.

"I feel like a little baby right now. This is nice." he said rubbing my waist.

"Hahaha I will soon push your big head off my body. Don't think you will enjoy this forever." I warned him but with a smile on my face.

"Remember my head is paining me. You should just push it because it will increase the pain am feeling. So be careful with me young lady. Just continue treating me like a baby which I am." he said closing his eyes.

"If you are feeling like a baby then go to your mummy so she will take care of you like she did before. Don't stress me because you are a big boy." I said to him making him to open his eyes again.

"Why should I go to my mummy when I have you right now in my life? Having you as my mate means I shouldn't depend on my Mum for anything because my mate will do everything and even more for me." he said smiling. "You are smiling which means you are fine now. So get off from my chest."

The moment I said that, his smile dropped.

"Buttercup you don't know how I forced myself to smile. I did it all for you not because I'm fine. I want you to feel at ease and not worry about me." he said.

I didn't say a word to him. I kept on playing with his hair until I heard him snoring again. He is sleeping again. I really hope that when he wakes up later, he will be fine and strong like always.

I just want him to be back to his normal self.
