MIRA

POV

I couldn't take my eyes off my handsome mate as he slept. I was awake nursing him because his temperature was getting hotter and hotter but now it's fine because I kept putting a wet towel on his head. I couldn't sleep at all because I was taking care of my mate. I'm glad that his temperature is now back to normal.

I was tired and hungry but I couldn't leave his side. I didn't want him to wake up and I'm not there with him or maybe I'm sleeping and I won't be aware that his awake. I wanted my two eyes to be open when he opens his own eyes.

I heard a knock on the door. I knew instantly who it was.

She opened the door and smiled at me.

"How is she?" She asked me like the fourth time today. She has been entering the room to check on Landon and has been asking me the same question while I gave her the same answer.

"He hasn't woken up yet. But his fever is done. I'm sure he will wake up soon." I said to her.

"That is good news. I'm glad he will be fine. But you need to eat something. You have been in this room for hours. It's almost dinner time and yet you haven't even eaten lunch or taken a nap. You should rest so that you yourself won't fall sick." she said to me. "Mum I'm fine. I won't fall sick. Am very strong so don't worry about me. I will rest after Landon wakes up." I told her.

"I guess I can't convince you. So you are free to do whatever you want. But make sure you rest the moment he wakes up and tells you that he is fine. Okay!" she said.

"Yes ma'am. I got it." I smiled.

"Good. I will leave now. I have to do something downstairs." she said then looked at Landon first before she turned and walked out of the room.

I continued to wait for Landon to wake up. This time he didn't stay so long. He opened his eyes and when his eyes fell on me, he gave me a small smile.

"Hope you slept well and hope your headache is gone?" I asked in a low voice so I won't make his headache worst that is if he still feels it.

"Am feeling so fine and my headache is gone. Don't tell me you stayed by myself all day?" he asked.

"Well yes I did. Remember I said I would take care of you. That's exactly what I have been doing." I told him,

"But when I was sleeping you should have rested without taking care of me." he said looking sad.

"I couldn't rest even if I had the chance to because while you were asleep your temperature was high and I had to take care of it so you can be well."

"Buttercup thank you so much. Really I appreciate. For taking care of me, I'm going to surprise you with either a present or we would go somewhere. Is it okay with you?" he asked.

"Of course. But are you sure you are fine? Let's me know now. If you are fine then we can go have our der downstairs but if you are not I can go get the food so we can just eat in our room." I said.

"No am fine. Let's go downstairs. I'm sure my Mum has been worried. Also even if we stay here in this room, she will panic that maybe the illness is really bad. So it's better if we go and show her that am fine." he said before standing up.

I helped him on his feet carefully because I was sacred that he might fall.

"Buttercup I said am fine you don't need to help me." he said with a smile.

"Well I'm just trying to be careful that's all." I replied.

We walked downstairs to the dinning table only to see Mum, Dad, Layla, Luca, Calvin and Grey. They were all here. I didn't even know when they all came.

"Don you are here. We just heard that you were sick and we were about to go upstairs to check up on you. What's wrong with you? But hope you are feeling fine right now?" Luca asked looking so worried.

I studied my friend's face and I must say this that Luca is a bit different than the last time I saw him. He looks so mature and bigger. I wonder what he is eating that made him look this way.

"Am fine. It's a good thing you all are here. How are you doing? Layla how are you my dearest sister?" Landon asked as he sat down on his chair.

"As you can see, I am doing perfectly fine. I am only having a bit of a tough time in school but normally am so fine. Mira must be feeding you so well because you look really big and healthy. Mira I can see your handiwork. Weldone for taking care of his big head and for feeding him well." Layla said to Landon before coming back to me.

"It's nothing Layla. It's really good to see you." I smiled at her.

"Grey and Calvin what's up you two? Hope you have been doing fine? You all don't look bad either. You are all growing." Landon said.

"Just as the same way you think we are growing, so are you too. I almost didn't recognize you. I mean which kind of exercise are you doing that is making you look this way?" Grey asked with a smirk on his face.

"Am not doing much really. Just the normal training we do here that's all. Stop dragging my legs with your false words." Landon said to him.

I didn't have strength to talk because I was feeling so tired and I needed to sleep. So I just listened to Landon talking and laughing with his siblings while I ate my food in silence.

I excused myself when I was done eating and went upstairs to get some rest since I was tired. I only wanted to rest but I didn't know when I slept on the bed.

I was still sleeping when I felt someone kissing my forehead and wishing me goodnight. From the voice I knew it was Landon so I wasn't scared at all. Instead I pulled him closer to me enjoying his warmth as I drifted back to sleep.

I woke up feeling so refreshed but when I looked at the bed, I didn't see Landon lying next to me. I quickly took my bath and wore a presentable outfit for the day.

I went downstairs to look for him but I saw only Layla and Mum working in the kitchen.

"Mum good morning. Layla morning." I greeted.

"Morning Mira." Layla said with a bright smile on her face as she continued cutting the carrots.

"Morning Mira dear. Hope you slept well?" Mum asked.

"Yes I did. I can't believe I woke up late for that matter." I answered her.

"It's normal beside you deserved to rest not after all the work of taking care of Landon when he was sick." Mum said smiling.

"I didn't see him when I woke up. Do you have any idea where he has gone to?" I asked.

"He together with Calvin, Luca and Grey all went to train together. He said I should pass the message that he will be back before you know it so you shouldn't look for him and also he loves you." Layla answered.

I smiled knowing he was feeling better to go out and train with his friends.

"What do you say that we have our own girls time together? I mean let's go out for shopping and the spa. At least it will more fun than we just staying here at home. Right?" Mum asked.

"Mum that's a brilliant idea. You just made my day with your idea. I was already getting bored and sad that the boys are out there enjoying while we are here working. It's good to go out and have fun as Mum has said. Add me in. I'm so ready to go." Layla said sounding more excited.

I also thought about it and figured it won't be a fun if we all stay at home. We should also go out and enjoy ourselves. I decided to have fun with Mum and Layla. We finished cooking and dressed up before going out of the house together.

We first went to the spa and we had the best treatment ever. They really did took care of us. After the spa session, we went to the shopping mall. We got busy in picking what and what we wanted. We tried on different sexy dresses which looked beautiful. Mum ordered for everything we tried on.

After she was done paying, we went to the hair salon to do our hair. We all sat and as they were talking care of our hair, we were taking pictures, talking and laughing.

Layla and Mum requested for a nice cut because their hairs were always growing longer. While I requested for my hair to be dyed and stretched well. They dyed my hair with brown dye but it wasn't the complete hair. Just some parts so my hair color turned to brown and blonde. After they were done and I saw my self in the mirror, I fell in love with me. I couldn't stop looking at my self and admiring how beautiful I looked.

This was the first time I dyed my hair but I must say this workers knows how to do their works well because I looked so beautiful.

I can't wait to show Landon my new look and hear what he has to say about it. I'm very sure he is going to freak out when he sees my new hair. But it's worth it. I just hope he likes it.

After we had finished taking more beautiful pictures, we began to head home.

We spent a lot of time shopping so when we got home, the boys were already back.

We got down of the car and walked into the house. From the loud voices and laughter, we knew that the boys were in the living room. We entered to see them playing a video game.

I kept my eyes on Landon to see his expression. I couldn't help but feel nervous.

The moment his eyes looked at me, it went wide.
