ROSIE POV

I opened my eyes and was surprised to see everywhere was white. Where was I? And what's this place wondered.

I wanted to move my body but I couldn't. It looks like I had no strength to move my body.

When she looked at me, her eyes went wide and she turned her face. I could tell her lips were moving but couldn't hear a word of what she was saying.

Why can't I hear her? Have I turned deaf or what? Is this a dream or something? What is happening?

I wanted to speak but it was like my mouth was heavy to open up and speak. I couldn't even move my body or even hands. It was like I was paralyzed.

I was still thinking what is wrong with me when it came like a wave. All the memories began to show up remembered everything although the last thing I remember was I feel suffocated so I opened my door to go out to get some air when I felt lightheaded. After that, I can't seems to remember anything anymore.

Angel's face disappeared and a strange looking man's face appeared. Who is he?

He flashed a touch light in my eyes. I was getting angry. I mean was he trying to blind me or somethin

He turned to say something which I still couldn't hear.

All of a sudden I felt so sleepy. I tried to fight it but my eyes won the battle and the next thing I knew was was in the dark.

I don't know how long I slept but the sound of someone snores woke me up. I opened my eyes. This time it was different because I could actually hear and when I tired to turn my head, it moved.

I looked to see my friends, Smith and Maria sleeping in an uncomfortable way holding each other. They look so cute.

I heard the snore that woke me up and knew immediately that it was Smith who woke me up.

'Why are they sleeping here in the first place? They should be sleeping at home.' I thought feeling pity for them.

I laid their just watching them as I waited for them to wake up.

I don't know how long I waited because I had no watch with me but to me I feel like I waited for hours Finally Maria decided to be the first to wake up.

She looked around first with confusion on her face before she relaxed. She looked at my direction wit

My eyes were still on her and I was surprised when she quickly turned to look at me again. I was scared that she might snap her neck. But it looks like she didn't care at all. She kept looking at me for some seconds before screaming.

Smith quickly jumped up putting his stance as he looked round for any danger coming.

Maria rushed to me ignoring Smith like she wasn't the one who woke him up from his sleep.

"Rosie can you hear me? count my fingers and tell me how many you can see." she said showing me three fingers.

"Th..ree" I said.

Wow I sounded so weak and my voice sounded like an injured cow. My throat was very dry and it was itching me.

Smith rushed to my side with a cup that was filled with I think water. He tried to help me in drinking the water.

I opened my mouth slowly and allowed.

"Rosie are you okay? Do you feel pains anywhere? Do you need me to go get the doctor? Are you hungry, do you want to eat or drink something? Tell me." Maria asked looking so worried. "Your questions are too much. You sound just like Angel." I said to her slowly.

"You can't blame me Rosie. I'm just worried that's all. You have been unconscious for a week and three days. Do you have any idea how scared I was? I didn't know when you were going to wake up and it made me so on the edge. I just couldn't do anything than to watch you lay on the hospital bed hoping you will wake up fast. Please never ever do that again. I beg you." Maria said.

My heart broke when I saw my friend crying.

I couldn't help but feel so selfish. I tired to push them away when they were the only ones who actually cared for me. Now I put them in so much stress by making them think too much.

I couldn't say anything as I just laid on the bed. I watched Smith walk close to her and tired to console her.

The door opened with full force that I thought it was damaged by the person who entered. I moved my head to see who it was and wasn't surprised to see Angel breathing so hard as she was looking at me with a surprise look on her face. Maybe Smith mind link Nate or something because how did she know I was awake? She was really fast no wonder she's out of breath.

She walked to me and hugged me in an uncomfortable way. I was about to tell her to let go of me when I heard her cries. She was crying so hard that my hospital cloth was wet with her tears. She didn't let me go as she kept on crying.

I couldn't bring myself to push her away. Infact I had a strong feeling to console her. She must have been very worried.

I raised my hand slowly and placed it on her back as I rubbed it slowly. I allowed her to cry till she was done. It's was a good thing that she left my shoulder when she was done but she didn't leave my side instead, she stood right next to me.

"I'm sorry for making you all so worried." I said to her.

"Well young lady you have to explain to us what really happened to you." Angel said looking so serious.

I knew they will want to know what happened but there is no way I can ever tell them what happened.

"Can you just leave that for some other time because I honestly don't want to talk about it." I said looking at my hands.

"But..." Angel started but Smith stopped her.

"Angel I think it's best we let her be and not stress her to open up until she is ready to. We won't want her to go back to her shell now right?" he asked them.

I gave a grateful smile. He knew what I actually wanted.

"Okay fine I won't bother you only if you promise me not to lock yourself and you will eat because we almost lost you. It's a good thing we were able to rush you here immediately or else it would have been an entirely different story. So promise me rosie." Angel said looking so serious.

I had no other choice but to accept it.

"I promise."

"Good now I will rush and get you something to eat." Angel said and was about to run off when I stopped her.

"Where is Nate?" I asked. I noticed he was the only one who wasn't here.

"Nate is on patrol. He actually said I should let you know that immediately his done before he goes home he will come over and check up on you. Good thing I remembered. Alright I have to run off." Angel said and left.

I looked at the two love birds who were already looking at me.

"Hey calm down already I'm here in front of you alive so calm down." I said to them.

"I need to go get the doctor." Smith said and left.

Maria came close to me.

"Rosie please don't do that again. We all haven't gotten enough rest. From school we are all here. We all take turns to miss school so you won't be alone. After working, Smith and Nate will rush here to see if you are awake. We haven't been replaceing it easy so please don't even make us go through the stress again. Hurry up and be strong so we can go home." she said to me.

I nodded my head as I didn't know what to say anymore.

Smith returned back with the doctor.

"Hello Rosie how are you feeling?" he asked smiling.

"I want to go home." was the first thing I said to him.

"Well we have to ensure you are fine and strong enough to go home before we can let you go home." he said still smiling.

"Well I'm fine so please let me go home." I said to him hoping he lets me go.

"No we can't. You need to rest and also you need to be observed." he said.

"But I have been asleep for days. That's enough rest already." I said feeling frustrated.

"Its not." the doctor said not backing down.

"But I'm fine. I mean can't you see." I said stubbornly.

"Well Rosie, saving you wasn't an easy job. You almost died several times which is very bad. And we assume that it was not only because of malnutrition but there is another reason why your case was so critical." the doctor said. "What do you mean by that?" I asked.

"I need to ask you a quick question, do you have a mate Rosie?" the doctor asked me.

I felt my heart beat fast when I heard his question.

'Why was he asking? Did he know something?' I couldn't help but wonder as the questions kept on bothering me.

"Rosie I asked you a question and you are yet to answer me. Do you have a mate?" the doctor asked again.

"No I don't." I lied smoothly.

"Are you sure about that?" he asked.

Why is he so noisy. Can't he just let me be?

"Yes. Why are you asking?" I asked him.

"Well we almost lost your wolf who was in so much pain. It was a good thing we were able to save her also or else you would have been just a normal human. I thought it was because of her mate but since you said you don't have a mate then it might be something different that is serious."

This news did not only surprise me but I felt anger. My mood changed immediately.

I almost lost my wolf because of that jerk.

I won't forgive him for that.
