It was a lovely night as Sara rested her head on Killian's arms, who just kept on staring at the moon.

"What's on your mind?" Sara asked as she noticed Killian's uneasy expression.

"Nothing much, I am just baffled by the issue of rogue wolves in the pack. An incident happened this morning, and it made me so sad, it made me feel like I failed my people as their Alpha and couldn't protect them." He said with a sigh, and Sara could sense some remorse in his voice.

She sat up, grabbed Killian's hand, and rubbed it gently.

"No dear, you are trying your best, and there's no doubt about that. You can ask anyone in the pack, and I am sure they will tell you that you are the best Alpha they've ever had." Sara said to him while Killian smiled.

"Are you saying that to console me? You didn't even meet the previous Alpha, how did you know that I am better than him?" Killian teased; he had his usual smirk on his face while Sara shrunk under his gaze.

"I am not, seriously. I overheard some women talking about it the last time I visited the market." She replied.

"Maybe they were just saying it to make you feel good." Killian shrugged, while Sara sighed.

"Why on earth won't you believe me?"

"I believe you, but...I couldn't even protect my mate from intruders, how can I protect my people then?" Killian muttered, he truly wished he could solve the issue of the rogue wolves in the next minute, but there seemed to be a powerful force behind them, and he was sure the person behind them knew him very well, most likely someone very close to him.

"You know I could have died several times?" Sara uttered, and Killian looked straight into her eyes.

"What do you mean by that?" Killian asked in shock. He wasn't expecting the last statement she uttered.

"In the cave where I was almost buried alive, I almost lost hope and resigned to fate, but a man appeared before me, saving me from the cold hands of death," She paused to register the look on Killian's face before continuing.

"And when I was mistaken for an intruder, and almost beheaded, it was the same man that appeared at the nick of time, saving my life once again." She added while Killian smiled so widely.

"Do you know who that person was? It was you, the Alpha of the blue moon pack, the only one in my heart." Killian couldn't help the joy that filled his heart as Sara uttered those words. The space in his heart seemed to be perfectly filled by Sara's words.

"Thank

you dear, it means a lot to me," Killian replied, and Sara nodded.

She rested back on his arm, while various thoughts flashed across her mind.

Her eyes widened as she suddenly remembered the letter that was sent to her with an arrow. The letter came from Leon and she felt so embarrassed by the obscene words he wrote on the paper.

She could vividly remember how he ended the note;

"I still long for that juicy body, and I will get it for sure." What a pervert!

There was no doubt that Sara had enjoyed her previous encounter with him, but the fun night she had with Killian erased everything about Leon from her mind.

She had torn the paper and burnt it. A part of her wanted her to tell Killian about it, while the other part was against it. She made up her mind and prepared herself to tell Leon to face reality. Killian had already won the position of the Alpha, and she was her Luna; he should give up.

A guard briskly walked up to them, accompanied by a weak lady.

"What's wrong?" Killian asked as the guard approached them.

"My Alpha, I sighted this lady walking into our pack, and I noticed that she is not one of us." The guard replied, and Killian's eyes rolled to the poor lady.

"What's your name? And from which pack are you from?" Killian asked, and the lady lifted her head to reply.

Sara could sense some familiarity as the lady raised her head, she was sure she had seen her somewhere before, but she just couldn't remember exactly where they had met.

"My Alpha, my name is Clara, and I am from the Longevity moon pack." Clara lied; she had been instructed to keep her identity secret, and telling Killian that she was from the Red Moon pack would only bring about some suspicions.

"Then why are you here by this late hour?" Killian queried her, and Clara burst into tears. She wiped her face with the tip of her blouse while she narrated her fake ordeal to Killian.

"My husband was a general in our pack; he was framed by some greedy officials who lied that he had intentions of usurping the throne. They planted some evidence in our house, which caused the death of my husband, and I was banished from the pack." She ensured she fabricated a flawless lie that wouldn't raise Killian's suspicion, but would instead make him pity her.

Killian shook his head in pity for Sara, he had also passed through a similar case, and he understood perfectly what the lady must be going through.

"It's fine. I will provide you with accommodation, and other things you need. Your case will be discussed in tomorrow's meeting with the elders. Don't worry, there will surely be a solution." Killian replied and Sara instantly went on her knees.

"Thank you, Alpha Killian, for your grace." She muttered and proceeded to bow before him. Sara watched the lady with pity and supported Killian's judgment.

"Guard, take her to one of the unoccupied rooms and settle her down. Give her whatever she wants and ensure she is satisfied." Killian ordered, fully ignorant of the danger he had just allowed into his territory.

"Thank you, Alpha." Clara greeted and wore a mischievous smirk, which was visible to herself.

"Just wait, I will replace you soon," Clara muttered to herself as she flung a mischievous look at Sara, who just kept on smiling ignorantly at her.
