The Alpha King's Hybrid Mate -
Chapter 24
"Are you crazy? Are you asking for our Alpha's death?" An angered elder yelled out at Savannah, who didn't seem to care.
"Yes. You want him to stab his own and wolf's heart? That's just telling him to end his own life." Another elder added, but Savannah didn't seem to budge. It is well known that a werewolf's life belongs in his wolf's heart. To kill a werewolf, you have to take out his wolf's heart and destroy it.
That way, even the wolf won't be able to reincarnate and live another life.
"That's why I gave him two options...no, three options."
"He can choose to stab his own heart, marry Lydia, or watch his lover die." She said in a tone that made Killian feel like pouncing on her and beating her up.
"But what will you..."
"I will do it." Killian interrupted the elder, who instantly turned to him.
"You will do what?" The elder asked in shock.
"You will marry Lydia, or you will stab your own heart?" Savannah mischievously asked, and Killian smiled. He looked at Sara and rubbed her hair gently.
"Sara is my mate, and I will be with only her in this life. Bring me my sword." He said with such a strong determination, and everyone gasped.
"My Alpha, you must not. You can't endanger your life, there should be other methods." An elder screamed, but Killian shook his head.
"It's okay," Killian answered and stretched out his hand for the sword.
Everyone in the hall chorused "my Alpha" in concern but his determination didn't waiver.
"I must warn you all, the poison is a very potent one, and I am sure it would have gotten to her heart by now. If you want her to live, I will advise you to not disturb the alpha and let him make the decision." Savannah screamed.
"I will do it, I will stab my own heart." He muttered. He lifted the sword, closed his eyes, and thrust the sword slowly into his heart. Blood gushed out of the cut, and he moaned in pain. The sound the sword made as he cut through Killian's heart was therapeutic to Savannah and Clara. Only Lydia felt bitter and angered. She was angered that Killian would rather hurt himself than be with her.
"Am I so bad that you won't even take a look at me? Don't I deserve the least of you?" Lydia cried to herself. She wiped her tears and focused on Killian. Only by feeding on his pain can her agony be relieved.
"Since you don't want me, you might as well die." She muttered and vowed to make him pay for trampling on her feelings for him.
Killian's blood became soaked in blood, and a golden light could be seen shining through the cut, it was his wolf's heart.
"Stop Alpha, that's your wolf's heart." An elder screamed, but Killian didn't stop. The moon priestess just watched on with a calm look, as if she was sure nothing would happen to Killian.
He inserted the sword deeper, and cut through his wolf's heart. He yelled out in pain as a huge cut was made into the heart. He slowly pulled out the sword from his chest and tied his wound to stop the bleeding.
"I have done what you want, can you cure her now?" Killian said with a very weak voice, that everyone except the moon priestess was scared that he might die.

Savannah sighed. Even though Killian had done what she wanted, she seemed not to be so happy about it. She walked up to Sara and poured a few drops of the ocean moon into her mouth.
Within a few seconds, Sara's body became back to normal, and the black line on her veins receded.
"How come you are still breathing?" Savannah asked Killian and the moon priestess stood up from where she sat.
"If he could die so easily, then he is not worthy to be our Alpha." The moon priestess replied, before turning to bow before Killian.
"Long live Alpha Killian." The moon priestess uttered, and the crowd emulated her.
Savannah, accompanied by her fellow villains stormed out of the hall in agony. Even though the plan had worked out, and Killian had been greatly weakened, they seemed not happy about everything.
Killian carried Sara in his arms and headed towards her room. Violet ran after the Alpha, screaming his name from behind.
"My Alpha, let me carry her. You are very weak and should take a rest," Violet advised, but Killian shook his head.
He carried her to her room and gently placed her on the bed.
"Take good care of her, I want to have a meeting with the elders." He said to Violet who nodded her head in response.

He smiled at Sara and kissed her on her forehead.
"Also, she might feel hungry immediately after she wakes up, so prepare something for her to eat."
"Yes, my Alpha," Violet replied and Killian walked out of the room. He headed towards the meeting hall and instructed a guard to call the attention of the elders.
"You should rest, why are you calling a meeting by now?" An elder asked as they all assembled in the meeting hall.
"How can I rest when someone dares to poison my Luna right under my nose." He muttered with the little strength left in him.
"It seems as though the rogues are getting bolder as the day passes." He continued, and there was a silence in the hall.
"So what do we do to the maid who poisoned her?" Another elder asked, and Killian wore a slight frown.
"Did she poison her? Why do I think that someone deliberately made her a scapegoat for their crime." He replied to the elder.
"But all evidence pointed at her, or how can she explain the pill found on her? Also..." "Report!" A guard screamed, interrupting the elder as he ran towards Killian.
"What's wrong?" Killian asked.
"It's the maid, she said she remembers something."
