The chirpings of birds jerked Sara to consciousness as she opened her eyes slowly. She gazed at Killian and checked his wound. It was perfectly healed, as if there was no cut there before. She checked her ankle and she could move her leg freely now.

"The king's herb is truly magical." She muttered to herself.

She rested her hand on her chin and smiled at Killian's handsomeness. She could proudly boast that Killian was the most handsome man he had ever met.

"Are you so jealous of my beauty?" Killian teased her as he rose from the bed. "Why will I be jealous? You are mine already." She replied while Killian smiled. "Right, how are you feeling now?" Sara asked him as she inched closer to him. Killian moved his arms and tried to exert his strength before nodding his head. "Just as the doctor predicted, I have regained about sixty percent of my power." He said to her, and Sara smiled.

"Great to hear."

"Oh yeah, who were those people chasing after you last night?" Killian asked her.

"If you hadn't asked me, I would have forgotten to tell you about it."

"I don't know who they were but I overheard their discussion. They are planning to murder someone, and it will take place during the forthcoming hunting ceremony." Sara said, and Killian's eyes widened in shock.

"Hunting ceremony? These people are getting more and more audacious. Do you know who their target is?" He asked her, while she shook her head.

"No, I do not. I only heard them say that the person is greatly weakened at the moment and that it was the perfect time to..." She suddenly stopped as something clicked in her brain. She instantly held Killian's hand and stared straight into his eyes.

"Don't tell me their target is you." She screamed.

"Maybe," Killian replied and Sara's heart sank.

"Who are these people? Why won't they let us rest." Sara lamented while Killian smiled.

"It's alright. I am used to all those threats and attacks. I will be fine, trust me." Killian said and Sara sighed.

"I also heard that the chief guard was murdered."

"Don't let us talk about these things today. I want to take you out; other things don't matter today." Killian said, and Sara's eyes lit up in excitement.

"Really? Let me get ready then." Sara uttered as she ran to her room to get some things done.

Killian thanked the doctor and also headed to his apartment. He took his shower and wore his clothes.

"Sighs! You sacrificed me for a woman." Killian's wolf said as he combed his hair in front of the mirror.

"No, man, why will I? I had no other choice you know? Besides, she is my mate, our mate." Killian replied while his wolf made a wimp sound.

"Do you know how much pain I felt as the sword thrust into my heart?" He continued and Killian sighed.

"I felt the same pain also, besides, hasn't she gotten the king's herb for you? You are healed already." Killian muttered.

"So you are taking her out on a date?"

"What do you think?" Killian asked while the wolf chuckled.

"Makes sense. I can sense her scent coming here, let me leave now so as not to disturb

you guys." Killian's wolf said and merged back with his body.

"I am done," Sara said happily as she walked into the room.

Killian looked at her and was struck by her beauty and elegance. He seemed so immersed in her beauty that he couldn't sense Sara's waving hands.

"Hey! Are you alright? Why do you seem so dazed?" Sara asked him.

"I am lost in your beauty, you are so beautiful." He replied, causing Sara to blush. "Thank you," Sara muttered.

They both set out and headed towards the pack's most expensive eatery. They ordered some food, which they ate to their heart full.

They also visited the beach and had the best time by the waterside.

"What's your greatest fear, Killian?" Sara asked as they sat by shore.

Killian smiled and turned to her

"Losing you, that's my greatest fear." He replied and Sara smiled.

"Same here; what I dread the most is waking up one day and you are no longer by my side." She said to him, and Killian hugged her tight.

"I am here, I am going nowhere. I will always be by your side." He said to her.

"By the way, I have a gift for you," Killian said and took out a glittering gold hairpin. It was so beautiful and captivating that Sara fell in love with it at a glance.

"Wow! It's very beautiful, I love it." She screamed happily and told Killian to put it on her.

"Perfect! It looks so beautiful on you, portraying your elegance." Killian complimented. He had spent a fortune to make the hairpin and had melted hundreds of valuable gold in the process.

"This hairpin is the only one in the entire universe, and it should exclusively belong to a queen like you."
