Chapter 57

"Gosh! This is hell!" Leon cried as his eyes bled profusely. He staggered to a cupboard and took out a potion which he drank quickly. He then channeled all of his energy to his eyes, healing his wound, but the damage had been done, his left eye was gone for good.

He stomped his feet on the floor, groaning hard as he licked the blood on his palm.

"Sara! I will make you pay for this, I swear to make you my concubine and use you to warm my bed." He screamed out loud. He sprang up from where he sat and ensued in a hot purchase in a bid to get Sara back.

Meanwhile, Sara knew Leon would never give up chasing after her even after he injured him, so she ran swiftly through the woods, carrying her legs with all of the energy left in her.

"For my child, I must survive." She muttered to herself.

She had only run a few distance when she heard some fast approaching footsteps behind her. Her mind raced, and her pulse quickened. She knew it would be none other than Leon.

She increased her pace and darted through the woods, trying hard to figure out where to run to. The red moon pack was no longer her home, and the blue moon pack where she found love and peace had suddenly turned to a cold desert to her.

But she knew she had to run, at least, there will be a place for her in this vast world. "Maybe I could go to the human world." She said to herself.

After about thirty minutes of hot chase, she reached a dead end, with a vast ocean lying right in front of her.

There was no escape way for her, Leon was fast approaching, and it would spell doom for her if he should catch up with him.

She racked her brain for all possible solutions, the ocean was too wide for her to jump into, plus she was not even a good swimmer.

Suddenly, a huge figure appeared from a distance, his panting and breathing could be heard from afar. Sara figured out that it was Leon, and she prepared herself for a fight. It's either one of them survives.

She suddenly felt a surge of energy rising through her, as if it was binded by a strange force before.

"Nowhere to escape to, Sara." Leon screamed with a huge laugh, raising his hands in dominance as he approached her.

"I told you that you will be mine, even Killian has to bow before me now. My bosom is your home, and you have no choice but to submit to me." He continued, his lips forming a smirk.

"Don't come near me, don't you dare!" Sara screamed as Leon approached her.

She took a few steps backwards, causing Leon to hurriedly stretch out his hands.

"Be careful of the ocean, one more step and you are gone forever. Come to me, I won't blame you for this, I will welcome you with all my heart." He said to her, pointing his hand to his blinded eyes.

"In your dreams. I can't fall in love with you, I love Killian, and I will be with him only." She gathered all of her energy, but to her utmost shock, the energy was too little to break a stick talkless of fighting a strong man like Leon.

Leon saw her actions and burst into a loud roaring laughter.

"You think I am a fool? Will I leave you with your Luna powers? I poisoned you, I drugged you, slowly draining you of your divine powers." Leon laughed, while Sara was left dumbfounded.

She instantly placed her hand on her belly, wondering if nothing had happened to her baby.

"Relax, I didn't harm your child. I know how much you value it, and it will be a devastating memory if you lose the child. Besides, I don't want you to hate me for that." He paused, taking a few more steps towards Sara.

"But the Luna powers? You don't need it, because I will be here to protect you, I will be here to give you the support you need, so you have no absolute need for those damn powers. Since you won't be a Luna anymore, why don't you just forget all that came with it?" He continued, his wicked smile never leaving his face for a second.

Sara couldn't believe her ears, he basically drained her of her powers because he didn't want her to have any connection whatsoever with Killian. He had planned it all, and had made her discovery by Killian almost impossible. He knew she and Killian could communicate through the powers, so he deliberately altered it.

"So I was wrong all these while. I thought Killian didn't want me anymore, but it turns out that you are just the saddist behind all of these." She said, regretting ever doubting Killian's love and affection for her. She realized that it must have been a difficult situation for Killian all these while.

She was now filled with a greater zeal and determination to escape from Leon and run back to Killian.

"I also added some purple heart grass around the house, so it would conceal our scents. You see that I really planned it out well, I am doing this all because of you, why don't you get it? Going back to Killian means nothing but your death. See for yourself!" He screamed, and threw a document at her.

Sara was confused, but she picked up the document and read through it.

Tears welled up her eyes as she scanned through the document.

It was indeed Killian's handwriting and signature.

"Did you see that? I wasn't lying. That was the edict he signed, he had a hand in your execution. Why would you want to go back to such a man?" Leon fired at her. Sara wiped her tears and threw the documents back at Leon.

"Thank you for giving me this, but I don't believe it. Handwriting and signature can be forged, so it doesn't prove anything. The only time I can believe all of these is if he tells me himself that he doesn't want me anymore."

"Why are you being so stubborn, Sara?" Leon yelled, hitting his lap with his hand in fury.

"Then I guess I can only bring you back to your senses by making you mine." Leon said, and with a swift movement, he dashed towards Sara. Sara tried to escape but Leon's tight grip held her firm to the ground. She kicked him hard in the belly, causing Leon to accidentally push her, sending her flying into the huge ocean, with no trace to be found.
