"How come? How's that possible?" Jared fidgeted, his eyeballs darted sideways, drenching in a pool of confusion, and shock.

He was sure he had planned it out well, but Lydia lying hale and hearty in front of him was a great shock to him.

"Father...oh no! Jared! Are you even a father? You caused my mother's death; now you want to take my own life, too? How could you be so heartless to do such a thing to your child?" Lydia cried, her cheeks were getting damp from the warm tears that crawled down her cheeks.

"No...I...I wasn't..." Jared stuttered, unable to fetch the words out of his mouth. Suddenly, about a thousand guards surrounded the throne room, leaving Jared in an awkward situation. His heart crashed against his chest, making a loud thud with each second passing.

"Did you really think I didn't see through your tricks? I have been turning blind eyes to all of your atrocities because you are a respectable person in the pack, but this is the height of it." Killian roared. All the elders in the room flung their eyes at the moon priestess, who silently moved away from Jared's side.

"I also persuaded the moon priestess to put up an act with me; only then can you lower your guard," Killian said, descended the big podium, and walked towards Jared, who was bleeding profusely.

"The diamond stone you placed on Sara, the coffin, Sara's poisoning, the rogue wolves, and finally the elder's murder, which you placed the blame on Sara. I am utterly disappointed in you." Killian spat at him.

"How come? How come you are still strong? You should be weak right now; you shouldn't have any energy left in you; I obviously added the poison on Lydia's dress." Jared screamed, spitting out blood in annoyance.

"Father! So you really poisoned me? I was thinking that I was being lied to, even when I stabbed you. I still didn't want to believe that you really did such a thing, but you just uttered it right from your mouth. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?" Cried Lydia, holding her chest tight as she panted heavily.

"Bring her in!" Killian ordered, and two guards ran in with a lady. She was a maid in Jared's house.

"It's you? How dare you betray me?" Jared fumed angrily. He wanted to stand to his feet but the immense pain brought him down.

"My Alpha." The maid greeted, resting her hands on her lower stomach, and kneeling for Killian without her knees fully touching the floor.

Killian nodded at her. He turned to the elders and narrated how the maid had approached him in the middle of the night, exposed Jared's plight to him, and he indeed found out that Lydia was poisoned and the Poison was slowly affecting him. He had ordered the guards to silently fetch the moon priestess who gave him the antidote to the poison and revealed that Jared had also approached her before. They both agreed to play along and take him down when he wasn't expecting.

Jared fell to his knees and laughed uncontrollably.

"What a joke! I had lived all my life for this day, for the day that I would kill you with my hands and become the Alpha of the pack. I had planned this for years, how could it have gone wrong?" Jared lamented, he groaned in pain, raising his eyeballs at Lydia. He smiled softly and stretched his hand to her, but Lydia moved some inches away from him.

He laughed, his mouth filled with blood.

"Even you don't want me anymore." He mumbled, shaking his head, realizing he had failed woefully and his end was near.

Two guards rushed in with some stuff in their hands that resembled human skin.

They presented it to Killian, who showed it to the elders.

"Here is a fake human skin; I heard it's available in the ghost market, and you can get any face that you want." He said, passing the skins to the elders. He specifically retained the one that resembled Sara and beckoned to the maid.

The maid walked to him, and Killian applied the fake skin on her. To everyone's bewilderment, she looked exactly like Sara.

"Lydia has confessed to her crimes. She said she had found Sara's hairpin at the hunting ground during the last hunting ceremony. I believe Sara must have lost the hairpin when she was defending me against Zayne." Killian explained, and the whole crowd gasped in shock.

"What an evil plan." One of the elders murmured, giving Jared a scornful eye.

Clara saw that their plans had gone wrong and found a perfect chance to escape when everyone's attention had been fixed on Jared. She slowly moved towards the door but was seen by Lydia.

Lydia smirked, pulled a sword from a guard, and threw it at Clara, hitting her right at her back and piercing through her heart.

"We planned it together, what makes you think you can escape," Lydia yelled. Clara slowly turned, groaning in pain as the force of life was slowly sucked out of her.

"Lydia...you...you..." she muttered, pointing her shaking finger at Lydia. She eventually dropped to the floor, breathing her last.

Everyone in the hall took in a deep breath, while Killian continued to explain the whole situation.

"Jared had Lydia wear human skin that resembled Sara's; he also made a hot pill that could change one's voice and gave it to Lydia, making her voice sound exactly like Sara's in the video. That way, they were able to fabricate false evidence against Sara." Killian explained. The elders couldn't believe their ears, and most of them regretted ever suspecting Sara.

"Where is the Luna? Where did you keep her?" One of the elders asked Jared, who just laughed mischievously. He could feel his life slowly ebbing out of him.

"You...want to know? I won't tell you. I have locked her in a place where I made the key to the place of my life. She will be alive as long as I am living, but if I die, she won't survive it either." He burst into a roaring laughter, pissing the elders to the core. "You..."

"How could you be so unreasonable?" An elder shouted at him.

Jared lay flat on the floor, staring at the ceiling while he groaned in immense pain; he had lost a lot of blood and was already pale.

"You want to get Sara? In your dreams!" He muttered, biting his tongue forcefully, thereby hastening his death.

"Father!" Lydia cried, rushing towards the lifeless Jared. She pulled him up, weeping profusely.

"I will replace Sara on my own, and I believe that she is still alive. Considering the fact that Lydia confessed to her crimes, she won't be killed, but be banished from the blue moon pack."
