"Do you really want to work with Marie? That woman might be devilish, what if she is playing pathetic? She is a woman of unknown origins, remember." Frederick said in a single breath as they walked out of the bar.

Zayne suddenly stopped in his steps and sighed;

"There is only one way to replace out though, and we have to replace it out ourselves," Zayne replied to him. He patted Frederick's shoulders and hopped into Frederick's car.

Frederick stood by the car's door, staring at Zayne.

"Do you really want to stand all day staring at me? C'mon, let's visit Sara as fast as possible." Zayne said to Frederick. Frederick sighed and also hopped into the car, driving at top speed.

The first half of the journey was as silent as a graveyard; each one of their minds was occupied with various thoughts.

"Do you think the old man will believe us?" Zayne asked as they wheeled into the compound.

"Well, didn't you say you know some things which are enough to prove your claims? Or were you just bluffing?" Frederick asked him, throwing a quick side glance at him.

"Sure...I do." Zayne uttered, biting his lower lips and twirling his hair. The car came to a halt and they both alighted the car.

It was a huge story building, and the elevator had suddenly broken down.

"Man, I can't climb the stairs up to that floor; it's a death wish," Frederick replied to Zayne, who had been pestering him on taking the stairs.

Zayne glanced at him and sighed.

"It seems the days you've spent in the human world have gotten a hold of you."

After about thirty minutes, the elevator came back to life and they both hopped inside

one.

"Here." Frederick stopped the elevator and they both walked out.

Frederick glanced at his wristwatch and shook his head for some seconds as if trying to reason something out.

"It's almost 5pm, the old man should probably be preparing his evening coffee." Frederick smiled, while Zayne shook his head.

Frederick stopped by one of the doors and gently planted a knock on the door. There was no response at first, and before Frederick could knock again, a tiny feminine voice spoke through the door, causing Zayne's heart to race.

"Who is it?" The voice asked.

"Oh! It's me, Frederick." Frederick said, and the door opened almost immediately.

"Oh! Physician Frederick, the old man is currently not..." The remaining part of the words got stuck in Sara's throat as her eyes caught a glimpse of a handsome man standing next to Frederick. Her heart raced and her chest tightened. She suddenly felt some kind of a huge force pulling her to him, which she recognized as their mate bond.

"Alpha Zayne." Sara greeted him. She was surprised at how Zayne was able to replace her and she wondered if it was because of the mate bond.

"You...remember me? Zayne stuttered, suddenly facing Frederick;

"I thought you said she has amnesia?" Zayne asked him in shock, wondering if his plan was in vain. 'If Sara still had her memories, then she must remember that I had rejected her, and she was mated to Killian instead.' Zayne thought to himself.

"Yes, Alpha Zayne. All I can remember was that I was mated to you, but I can't remember anything after that. Did we...claim the mate bond?" Sara asked Zayne, her eyes popping out as she awaited Zayne's response.

"Sure...we did. We loved each other and lived happily in the red moon pack, you are even pregnant for me. I couldn't sleep all night when you got missing and I had been desperately searching for you. Thankfully, I was blessed by the heavens, and I can see you once again." Zayne said with a wide smile on his face. Sara rubbed her belly gently, she had noticed her pregnancy from the signs she had been seeing in the past days, but a part of her didn't seem to believe Zayne's words.

The mate bond was there, and she could feel it too, but somehow, her heart seemed to long for someone else.

"My love?" Zayne called out, seeing how disturbed and perplexed she was.

"Don't you believe me? I meant all that I said..."

"I do," Sara replied with a smile, while Zayne heaved a sigh.

The old man came back and was surprised to see Sara and Frederick by the door. He was even more surprised to see a strange man standing with them.

"Mr Brown, here is Zayne, Sara's husband." Frederick introduced Zayne to the old man, who instantly bowed out of respect for the old man.

"Oh! I see...so you are her husband? Where were you when she had the incident and

was found near the lake?" The old man questioned him.

"I...I traveled for work, only to hear the news when I came back. I have since then been searching thoroughly for her." Zayne replied to him with a smile.

The old man gave him a wimp and turned to Sara.

"Are you sure you know him?" He asked her, giving her a warm stare.

Sara smiled at him and nodded her head.

"Alright then. I wish you guys good luck." The old man wished them well and slowly walked inside.

"Also, take care of her, you know she is pregnant, right?" The old man turned to ask Zayne.

"Ye...yeah. I know, and I will definitely take good care of her." He smiled at the old man. The old man smiled back at him, and gently walked into the inner room.

Zayne glanced at Frederick and smirked. His plan had worked out, and the next thing for him to do was to take Sara back to the Red Moon pack. But before that, there was the deal with Marie which he must attend to.

His phone made a beep sound, and he took it out to check. It was from Marie;

"8pm tonight, third floor, Laker's resort." The message read while Zayne sighed.
