The Alpha King's Hybrid Mate -
Chapter 66
"Are we still going there?" Frederick asked Zayne. He guessed the message he received should probably be reacted to Marie's issue.
Zayne took in a deep sigh, nodded his head, and faced Sara. He curved his lips beautifully, displaying an affectionate smile.
"How about you stay in a hotel for some moment? I have something important to attend to, and I will be back as soon as I am done." Zayne asked her, slowly grabbing her hand and rubbing it gently.
Sara thought for a while before nodding.
"Not a bad idea, I will be fine." She replied, trying to wear a smile. Even though she could feel the mate pull drawing her closer to Zayne, she still somehow felt empty, as if there was a space in her heart that Zayne's presence could not fill.
"Why should she stay in the hotel? If you don't want her to stay with the old man because of her identity, she could stay in my place for the main time." Frederick offered. Sara wondered how Frederick knew she was a werewolf. Although she found him a bit strange, she couldn't sense any scent or trace of him being a wolf.
Zayne noticed the confused look Sara wore, and he was quick to clear the air;
"Actually Sara, Frederick is also one of us. He is also a member of the red moon pack but he came to the human world some years back due to some issues." Zayne explained.
"Alright. No problem. I will stay in his place then, till you are back." She smiled at him. Zayne drew her closer, pressing her head on her chest.
"I am sorry you had to pass through all of that, I will make it up for you, I promise." He muttered, stroking her hair, and gently sniffing at her scent.
"When our pup comes into the world, I will take you back to the red moon pack. Okay?" Sara nodded with a smile. She slowly turned and walked to Frederick's room, with a multitude of thoughts flowing through her mind. She had suddenly seen a vision when Zayne embraced her, giving her a little bit of startle. She saw a quick flash of Zayne stabbing someone in the heart, and the person looked a bit identical to Zayne, plus he gave her a warm pitiful stare, which made her heart race.
"Do I know that person?" She thought to herself, her blood rushed through her veins, and she suddenly felt light-headed. She felt some warm liquid crawling down her cheeks, and she touched it with her fingers, recognizing it as tears.
"Why am I crying?" She asked herself. She realized that her brain must have forgotten something or someone important, but her heart and body didn't forget.
"What's wrong?" Zayne asked her as she stood still in front of the door. She hurriedly wiped the tears with her palm, turned to Zayne, and smiled.
"Nothing, I was just happy to have you back in my life." She mumbled, slightly opened the door, and walked inside.
Zayne sighed, turned to Frederick, and said to him;
"We should head out now."
"Are you sure you want to do this? I mean, humans can be so complicated, and trust me, you wouldn't want to get messy with them." Frederick sighed.
"C'mon man, don't let us go over it again. I promised to help her, so I will." Zayne mumbled, pressed the elevator's button, and walked inside.
"Aren't you coming in?" He asked Frederick, who just stood outside the elevator. Frederick sighed, and entered;
"I will help you once more." He mumbled.
"Thanks, man," Zayne replied. They soon got out of the lift, entered their car, and drove off.
"Laker's resort, right?" Frederick asked as he took what seemed to be his third turn. "Yeah...we should be there soon," Zayne replied.
Frederick pulled over in front of a gigantic mansion, which was an entertainment avenue for people from all walks of life. Billionaires, world leaders, and kings visit the place for relaxation.
"No wonder the officer couldn't do anything to Marie's boss, she must have capable men backing her." A lady dressed in a sparkling red dress approached their car, she was one of the attendants in Oceanview.
"Marie said you should meet with her on the third floor." The lady whispered, immediately walking away without taking a second glance at them.
Zayne and Frederick caught the message, and they both alighted the car, took the lift, and headed towards the third floor.
Loud music was being played, with several beautiful, almost-naked beauties rocking their bodies against the gentlemen.
"Over here." A voice whispered, and they both turned to take a look. They saw Marie walking into a certain room, and they hurriedly followed her, slamming the door behind them.
"What a great effort to have us here," Frederick muttered.
"So what's the plan?" Zayne asked her, dragging a seat to the center of the room.
"In about thirty minutes, the men will arrive and it will be in the form of a bidding. I want you to bid the highest price so I won't fall into those men's hands. Also, you don't need to worry, I have a way to get back the money." Marie explained to them. She uncorked two bottles of wine and poured them into their glass cups.

"I am kinda curious, how do we get back the money? Also, I don't want to stay long,
my wife is waiting for me." Zayne's words seemed to electrify Marie as she paused for a second, she quickly regained her composure and smiled.
"Your wife?" She asked, a bit shocked and disappointed. She had promised herself that she would marry Zayne if he could save her tonight.
"Yeah, my wife," Zayne replied to her. Marie smiled and resumed pouring the wine.
"She must be so gorgeous." She muttered, biting her lower lip and clenching her fists.
"Either way, I will make sure you belong to me." She thought to herself.
"So how do you think we will get back the money?" Zayne repeated his question.
Marie smiled, glanced at her surroundings, and moved closer to him.
She winked at Frederick who moved closer, and she whispered some words silently to them.
"Really?" Zayne asked, with his eyes nearly protruding out of his sockets. Marie smiled, and nodded;
"Yes!"
