Back In The Human World

"Watch where you are going!" An angry cab driver screamed, and pressed the horn at Sara who had crossed without observing the traffic.

Sara ran into one of the club houses, she could sense Leon's scent catching up with her. She was too weak to hide her scent so she had no choice but to mix with people inside the club.

Even though it was a hot afternoon, the club was filled with many men rocking their bodies with the ladies. The whole area was filled with an alcohol stench that almost made Sara vomit.

"Are you also here for some fun?" A half-drunken man said to Sara, stretching his hand towards her chin.

Sara gave the man a sore gaze and shoved away his hand.

"Get off me." She muttered and walked to the extreme of the room, where it was safe from prying eyes, and Leon's wrath.

She glanced around, and when she was sure that no one was looking, she said some words almost silently, awakening her wolf.

"I need to hide my scent, let's do this please." Sara pleaded with her wolf, she could feel Leon's scent traveling down her nostrils and that meant one thing, he was nearby.

"I am so weak, we've been running a long distance plus we've not eaten anything since. Remember you are carrying a baby." Her wolf said grudgingly.

"But we have to, we could get killed if Leon catches up with us, we need to act fast." Sara replied, flinging her eyes in all directions as she watched out for Leon.

"Alright, let's do it then." Her wolf replied and Sara smiled happily. Normally, she could hide her scent herself but she was in a weak state at the moment, coupled with her pregnancy, it was just almost impossible for her to handle it alone.

Sara closed her eyes, getting herself prepared. As they were about to begin the process, a huge hand slammed the table in front of Sara, causing her heart to skip a beat.

An irritating smell journeyed through her nostrils, which didn't seem to belong to Leon, rather, it was an alcohol stench.

Slowly, she raised her eyelids and was surprised to see the half-drunk man staring straight into her eyes.

Sara's heart raced, and she could hear her own heart beating rapidly.

"Ex...cuse me?" Sara muttered, wondering what the man wanted from her.

"Hey beauty, why did you resist me? Let's dance together." The man said drunkenly, his breath oozing of alcohol.

Sara sighed, shaking her head in disgust;

"I am very busy, please let me be so I can get back to what I was doing." Sara remarked, rolling his eyes away from the man.

The man smirked, moved some steps so he could be in contact with Sara's eyes.

"What a beautiful pair of eyes. You seem to be a stubborn one, I must confess, you are my type." The man said to her, resting his head on his chin while staring at her. Sara furrowed her brows in disgust, spat on the floor and hissed.

The man suddenly grabbed Sara's hand, and placed it on his chest, sniffing her scent. Sara struggled to free herself, but the man's grip was so tight around her hand.

"Arghh..." the man suddenly yelled, his mouth dropping wide with blood streaming down his mouth. His grip suddenly loosened around Sara's hand and Sara hurriedly removed her hand, shocked about what had just happened.

Everywhere fell silent for a second, before a loud uproar as people flew out of the room from all directions possible.

The man slowly dropped to the floor, revealing an one-eyed man who was staring coldly at Sara. He had a knife stained with blood in his hand which he licked while staring at Sara.

Sara's pulse began to pulsate fiercely, and beads of sweat formed around her face, she staggered backwards, leaning on a wooden door. Leon slowly approached her, smiling mischievously at her.

"You think you can escape me? After stabbing my hand? You blinded me, and now you want to make me a cripple? I won't kill you, I will make you live with me for the rest of your life, that will count as your punishment." Leon laughed hysterically.

"There's no escape route for you, no going back, you will be mine!" He continued, laughing harder than before.

Sara shivered, pressing her body against the wooden door which suddenly opened due to the pressure she placed on it.

Sara swiftly dashed out of the door, slamming it on Leon's face who hurried after her.

To Sara's astonishment, she found herself in a thick forest, and everywhere around her were trees and the only sounds she heard were that of birds and insects.

Nevertheless, she took the only path in the forest and ran as fast as she could. She knew if Leon should take the same exit as her, he would also probably arrive at the forest soon.

After about thirty minutes of arduous running, she arrived at a huge lake, which seemed to border the forest. She sighed happily, finally, she could quench her burning thirst.

She bent down and scooped some water into her mouth. She suddenly had a strange headache the moment she swallowed the water, she held her head in pain, crying hard as the headache became more intense.

Slowly, she could see some scenes flashing across her eyes. There was a man, who she was so happy with, a man who stood by her, a man who stabbed himself in the heart just so he could save her.

"Arghh!" She yelled as the pain became more unbearable.

"I love you, and I will always protect you." Those words echoed in her head, and she felt as though she was going crazy.

Suddenly, Leon appeared behind her, laughing mischievously.

"I told you, there's no escape. You can't run away from me." Leon muttered and slowly approached her.

"Why does this scene look so familiar? Leon, this lake, have I been here before?" She thought to herself as she cried.

A huge wind blew, and she became calm immediately, but her mind seemed to be

filled with someone, someone whom she had long forgotten...

"I remember, I remember now...Killian!" She yelled, jumping into the lake without a second thought.
