The Alpha King’s Virgin by Charmeleon Chapter 99
Chapter 99
AMARIS
It’s been a week, and the war is still raging on. The dragons have plundered our lands, laying it to
crops destroyed, she–wolves with
waste. Villages burned to ashes. Dead animals littered the 25
pups and young children scattered, trying to save themselves.
We
were powerless against their aerial attacks until Egnor and his army arrived. His archers picked the dragons from the sky like ripe apples. On the ground, they were slow in their serpentine form. The dwarves and ogres beset them with bloodcurdling war cries.
There was no sign of Sorin. Not that it surprised me at all. He wasn’t a wolf that liked to get his paws dirty.
Joanna had recovered enough to lend her magic to our fight. She fought by my side like a true warrior, blasting the fire–breathing dragons out of the sky with water spells. The only downside was she needed to rest frequently, which left her vulnerable.
The dragon’s wings beat loudly as it descended from the sky and landed just a few feet away from me. I rushed to him, my sword in hand. Two dragon shifters blocked my path, but Ross was already. locked in a deadly battle with them.
I barely had time to register the danger before he shouted out a warning. The dragon breathed a column of fire just as I launched myself through the air to land on his back. Flames scorched my skin, but I hardly acknowledged the pain as I drove my sword through the base of his skull in single thrust, up to the hilt. The monster roared out a death cry and collapsed, sending me flying. I landed with a thud on the charred ground.
Ross dispatched the two dragon shifters before I had time to recover. I plucked my sword from the dragon’s skull. Together, Ross and I ran towards the fray. More dragon shifters descended on the castle. They breached the walls and shifted back to human form. Lord Greyson and the remaining warriors rushed to the defense.
Egnor’s archers fired their enchanted arrows at them from the ramparts. But they kept on coming. I heard my wolves despairing through the mind link.
“There’s too many of them!”
“We’re losing this battle!‘
“Do not surrender!” I shouted at the top of my lungs. Shifting into Rage I charged at the attackers. Eager for blood, Rage bulleted at them, ripping and tearing his way through. The air vibrated with the sounds of war–screaming, shouting, weapons clashing. Death danced among us.
‘Sire, we cannot hold them back any longer!‘ Lord Greyson fought like a demon wolf, but he was wounded and exhausted. ‘Our warriors are retreating!‘
‘We can’t give up now. Find their commander,‘ I shouted orders through the mind link. Before

long, he appeared.
Their commander was a monstrous golden dragon, eight feet high, its golden scales gleamed blindingly in the fading light. The day was turning into dusk fast and that was when the Shadow Dragons would come. I wanted to end this battle as soon as possible.
Shifting back to my human form, I strode up to him. “Fight me like a man. If you win, I will surrender.” Dragons were a prideful species.
His emerald eyes gleamed with hubris, so certain of himself. “You think you can defeat me, little wolf?” his dragon voice boomed out. “You might as well spare yourself and surrender now!”
I laughed at him. “I guess we’ll see, Serpent.” My insult had the desired effect. Within seconds he returned to his human form, a tall golden–haired male, lean, muscled and scarred from various battles. But that didn’t frighten me. I have fought bigger monsters than him.
“Amaris, what the hell are you doing?” Ross growled at me. He stood next to me, bloodied and battered, but still willing to back me up.
“Stay back, Ross. This is between me and him. If I win, Commander, you take your dragons and leave. Do we have an understanding?
The battle had ceased at his command and both sides stood ready, watching the stand–off between me and the golden dragon.
He snickered at me. “You sound so sure of yourself, Werewolf King. Let’s see if what the legends abour
are true.”
The earth shook as we collided with each other. We grappled. He was stronger than he appeared. He had me in a chokehold, but I was supple and slipped out of his grasp, smashing my fist into his short ribs. He rallied quickly, pushing me away from him.
“Is that all you’ve got, werewolf?” he sneered at me.
“Hardly,” I replied and lunged at him.
I was vaguely aware of the noise from the onlookers. Focusing on my opponent, searching for weaknesses. He was sizing me up in the same way. We circled each other. The moment he came in for the attack, I saw it in his eyes. I blocked him and landed a bone crunching punch to his sternum. His eyes glazed over, and he fell backwards.
Seizing the advantage, I jumped on him, going in for the kill. My hands locked around his throat. Once again, he surprised me by recovering so fast. With a mighty lunge, he had our roles reversed; he penned me on my back. Stretching his hand out, I saw his talons emerge. Agony exploded on my side when he plunged his claws into me. Skin and muscle tore away.
Shame on me for thinking he would fight fair. I paid him back in kind by sinking my fangs into his shoulder and ripped out a large amount of flesh. He howled in pain and anger. I was losing blood fast. The injury he gave me was severe and left me in agony. But I would never surrender.

“Kill him, Amaris!” I heard Ross scream, his voice high with panic.
Fueled by anger and desperation I extended my claws and drove my hand into his face, gouging his eyes. Blinded by blood and pain he doubled over screaming. With the last of my strength, I heaved myself from the ground and snapped his neck. The wolves howled in triumph, strengthened by my victory.
“Take your commander’s body back to Pendragon.” I let my Alpha aura wash over the horde of dragon shifters. “Tell him I want my brother delivered to me or I am coming for him next.”
