Chapter 57: I can feel her Fear

Isabella POV

I watched as Thomas dragged Lilly in front of us. What have I done?

I couldn’t hold back the tears that started to fall from my eyes. I started thinking of what he might do to her and it cause my panic state to intensify.

“I warned you Isabella, yet you continue to be defiant.” He said sternly, while stalking towards Lilly. He stopped when he stood directly in front of her. Her eyes were wide with so much fear.

I watched, as he punched her hard in the abdomen. I heard her gasp loudly, as she buckled over from the pain.

“No! Don’t, please.” I begged, while sobbing uncontrollably. I tried to reach Lilly, but Thomas wrapped his arms around me and pinned me to his body. I struggled violently to break free.

Alpha Ryan pulled Lilly up roughly by her hair and punched her again, this time in the face. Lilly fell to the ground and curled up in fetal position, while sobbing.

“Hit me, please, leave her alone.” I continued to beg.

Alpha Ryan was getting ready to kick her, when I spoke up again.

“I promise I’ll do everything you ask of me, please don’t hurt her.” I blurted out, with so much desperation in between my sobs.

Alpha Ryan paused at my words and turned to look at me. I could tell he was assessing the sincerity of my words. At that moment they were 100% truthful, I would sacrifice my life for the women I just met. She doesn’t deserve any of this, this is all fault.

“Let her go, Beta.” Alpha Ryan commanded and I was immediately released.

I wasted no time, I ran to Lilly who was still curled up on the floor. I wrapped my arms around her and held her protectively.

“I’m so sorry.” I whispered to her, while I continued to hold her in my arms. She was crying and I could feel her frail body trembling in fear.

This is all my fault.

“Isabella, get up.” Alpha Ryan ordered and I slowly stood from the ground, bringing Lilly up with me.

“If you think that was bad, it wasn’t, the next time you act defiant, she’s dead. Clear?” He threatened, and I could see that dangerous glint in his eyes.

“Yes.” I practically whispered, while my tears kept falling.

“Thomas, bring Lilly to her room.” Alpha Ryan instructed, while his eyes remained glued to mine.

“Yes Alpha.” Thomas replied, grabbing Lilly by the arm and dragging her out of the dinner hall. Lilly was still sobbing and I could see that she was bleeding from a split l*p.

“Now, let me escort you back to your room.” Alpha Ryan said with a smile, acting as though nothing had happened. Goddess, he’s a sick man.

I will kill him, mark my words, rage was running through my veins, at the sight of the man standing in front of me.

I need to pull it together, I can’t act out of emotions, I need to play his game until the right opportunity presents itself. Patience Isabella, you will get your chance.

I started walking towards the door, when Alpha Ryan placed his hand on the small of my bare back and started walking beside me. I shivered in disgusting wanting nothing more than to rip his filthy hand off, but I did nothing. I didn’t want to anger him further tonight.

As we walked out of the dinner hall, I saw Thomas dragging Lilly down a set of stairs before they disappeared out of sight. They must be keeping her in the basement, that’s good to know, I thought to myself.

I took this as an opportunity to look around and get the layout. I noticed a set of doors in a foyer on the other side of the living room. I would guess that those are the front doors.

I didn’t see anyone else inside the pack House, it surprised me, since it was so big. I would of expected there to be more people living in here.

That should make it easier for Lilly and I to escape, I thought to myself.

I wonder how many pack members he has and how heavy his border patrol is.

We walked in silence, until we reached the room that I had previously been locked in.

He opened the door and motioned for me to enter. I complied and I felt him follow me inside, before I heard the door shut.

I turned around just as Alpha Ryan was disappearing into the walk-in closet.

He came out seconds later holding a cherry red, thigh length nightgown.

“Put this on.” He commanded while holding out the nightgown. My eyes went wide and I paused for a moment, my heart started beating fast, panic was setting in again. This can’t be happening. What am I going to do?

After a minute, I quickly grabbed the nightgown from his hands, remembering his earlier threat, if I defied his orders.

I turned and started to walk towards the washroom.

“No, here” he ordered sternly and I froze.

He wants me change in front of him. What is he going to do to me? Please goddess, help me.

I turned around slowly to face him, my body was trembling with fear.

I reached up to my neck and struggled to untie the halter dress, because my hands were trembling. Alpha Ryan was watching me intensely, with l**t filled eyes.

As I started to bring down the straps from around my neck, I paused when I saw Alpha Ryan’s eyes glaze over. He was getting a mind-link, his eyes shut tightly and he had a frustrated look on his face.

“Well my Luna, looks like this will have to wait. There’s an urgent matter that needs my attention.” He said, while letting out a frustrated sigh.

“I’ll be back later, make sure your wearing that nightgown.” He ordered, while nodding his head towards the red nightgown that I held in my hand. I didn’t reply, I just watched him.

He turned around and left my room, I heard the door lock behind him.

I let out a heavy breath that I didn’t realize I had been holding in. Thank you goddess.

I looked down and realized he didn’t lock the chain to my ankle. This might be my opportunity.

Alpha Drake POV

I was in the room trying to calm myself down, when I was hit with an intense feeling of fear and I knew that it wasn’t my emotions that I was feeling, but rather Isabella’s. The sensation I was getting, was more intense then I had felt earlier, this was raw and pure fear.

I ran out of my room, I couldn’t just sit around while she’s out there in danger. I need to replace her and I know, I need to do it soon. Oh goddess, I hope I’m not too late.

I mind-linked my warriors to meet me in the foyer of the pack house. I didn’t care if they were tired, I can’t wait all night to start searching for Isabella.

Once I was in the foyer, it didn’t take long before the warriors and Erik arrived. Alpha Declan came down too, when he heard the commotion.

“Alpha, what’s going on?” Erik asked, looking concerned.

“Something bad is happening, I could feel pure fear coming from Isabella, through the mate bond.” I replied while pacing the floor.

“What do you want to do?” Erik asked.

“We have to start searching tonight, I can’t sit around while she’s in danger.” I replied, with a frown.

“Alpha Drake, I’m coming with you and I’ll bring some of my warriors.” Alpha Declan said.

“Thank you, Alpha Declan.” I replied with a nod.

After fifteen minutes, the warriors were ready to go.

“Listen up! We’re going to head an hour West of here, that was where the rogue vehicle crashed, the last time Isabella was taken. We will start our search from that spot.” I announced to the group and everyone nodded their heads in acknowledgement.

We left the pack house and wasted no time shifting into our wolves. I lead the the way and started running at a full sprint to the West.

After approximately an hour we reached the start point for our search.

I paired each of my warriors with a warrior from Alpha Declan’s pack, so that if anyone found anything we would have access to both pack mind-links.

I assigned each group of warriors an area to search.

Once everyone had taken off to start searching, I teamed up with Alpha Declan and we also started to search.

We ran further West, following the direction that the vehicle had been travelling in, before it crashed.

We had been running for almost an hour when I picked up the scent of a rogue.

I stopped in my tracks and looked at Alpha Declan. I could tell that he smelt it as well.

We continued slowly West and I spotted the rogue, he was in wolf form. He was a light beige coloured wolf. He didn’t appear to sense our presence.

He looked like he was patrolling a border. I wonder if this is the border of the Rogue Alpha’s territory.

As we got closer, I lunged at the rogue, I sank my canines into his throat and ripped it out. He didn’t even see me coming. I didn’t want to risk him notifying anyone of our presence, so I made it quick.

Both Alpha Declan and I shifted back to our human forms and put on shorts that we had carried with us.

“I have a feeling this is the Rogue territory border.” I said to Alpha Declan, while looking around the area for anymore rogues.

“I think so too, the rogue looked like he was patrolling.” Alpha Declan replied.

I mind-linked all the warriors and told them to come to our location.

It would take a while for all the warriors to arrive. Alpha Declan and I decided, that while we were waiting, we would head further West and hopefully confirming, that this is in fact the Rogue territory.

We moved slowly and cautiously. After walking another fifteen minutes further West, I started to see a clearing past the tree line. When we reach the edge of the tree line, that’s when we spotted it, a pack house.

It was three stories high and with brown brick. It was a lot smaller then my pack house, but bigger than I was expecting for rogues. I couldn’t see anyone around on the territory, but there were lights still on inside the pack house, that I could see through the windows.

We would have to wait for the warriors to arrive before moving in. I don’t know how many rogues are part of this pack.

“Let’s head back and meet with the warriors, we can come up with a strategy.” I told Alpha Declan and he nodded his agreement, before we head back the way we came.
