Chapter 80: Good morning

Rogue Beta Thomas POV

I was returned to our makeshift camp, after being out hunting for most of the day, when I felt something was off. I could smell a heavy copper scent and recognized it right away, as b***d.

I approached slowly and came across one of the rogues that had been assigned guard duties, laying on the ground, dead. He had a stab wound in the centre of his forehead.

Panic set in, we must of been attacked, I hope Jill made it out alive.

I moved closer and found more dead rogues along the way.

I stopped, when I heard voices and hid behind a thick bush.

I peaked through the branches and spotted Alpha Ryan holding a girl in a choke hold, while Isabella and another girl stood not far off, in front of him.

My b***d boiled at the sight of her. I hope Alpha Ryan kills her.

As I was watching the interaction, something caught my eye further behind Isabella and that’s when I saw her, Jill, unconscious tied to a tree. My heart sank for a minute, I need to get her out of here.

Hopefully there will be a distraction, long enough to give me the time to free her. As I was coming up with a plan, my focus was brought back to Alpha Ryan and the situation he was in. There was this loud crunch sound and I saw the woman he was holding, had head butted him, before she dropped to the ground.

I then saw Isabella throw a dagger and nail Alpha Ryan right in the throat, he dropped to the ground instantly. Well I guess he’s a goner, I was indifferent to that, my only priority was getting Jill safely out of this mess.

I saw that Isabella and the two woman that were with her, were busy fighting approximately ten rogues. I took the opportunity and made a run for Jill.

I noticed that she was being restrained with cuffs, luckily I always have a cuff key with me. I quickly unlocked the restraints and picked her up. I threw her over my shoulder and wasted no time running away with her, before anyone spotted us.

I guess it’s just the two of us now. Rage coursed through my body and my need for revenge grew stronger.

I will make you pay for what you’ve done Isabella, maybe not today, or tomorrow, but I’ll come for you and your stupid mate.

You both will die, I promise that.

Isabella POV

I woke up late afternoon, to Alpha Drake’s arms wrapped tightly around my waist. I smiled to myself, I had such a good sleep.

I rolled over to face him, when I felt him starting to stir awake.

Once we were both dressed, I opened the bedroom door and gasps in surprise, when I saw Clair standing there about to knock again.

“It’s about time.” Clair said, while crossing her arms over her chest, clearly irritated with how long it took us to get ready.

“Sorry, we were ju- – -“ I tried to explain, but was quickly interrupted.

“I know what you were doing and you can finish that when we get home. No one gets to enjoy their mates, not if I don’t have mine.” Clair said sternly, I chuckled and shook my head.

“Ok fine, let’s go.” I replied.

She started stomping down the hall, clearly anxious to leave, Alpha Drake and I followed behind.

Once we reached the pack house main doors, I saw Declan and Lily, standing outside waiting for us.

Lily had a big smile on her face, when she saw me. I walked up to her and gave her a big hug.

“I hope you guys slept well.” Declan asked.

“We did, thanks again for accommodating us.” I replied, while nodding my head.

“Anytime sis.” Declan said, with a smile. I smiled back at him.

“Clair told us what happened, I can’t believe you killed the Rogue Alpha.” Lily said, with wide eyes, looking completely shocked.

“He wasn’t going to stop causing us problems, he had to die.” I said, with a shoulder shrug.

“Oh, absolutely. I just can’t believe, that you three took his whole pack down, alone. Lily said.

“Well, unfortunately we didn’t kill them all, looks like his Beta, Thomas, got away and a she-wolf named Jill. If you come across them, I want to know right away.” I said, while glancing between Lily and Declan.

“Absolutely, I’ll keep my eyes and ears open, if I come across anything, you guys will be the first to know.” Declan replied, with a head nod.

“Seriously, let’s go.” Clair shouted, with a frustrated tone, out of the rear window of SUV. I chuckled again, poor girl is really missing her mate.

“We better go, before Clair bear has a full blown adult temper tantrum.” I said and we all chuckled.

“Ok, come and visit again, next time stay a bit longer.” Declan said and I nodded.

“I will.” I replied and hugged them both goodbye, before Alpha Drake and I loaded up into the SUV. Erik and Trish, were already seated up front and Clair was sitting next to me in the back. I didn’t miss the unimpressed glare I got from her.

“Let’s go home.” Alpha Drake announced and Erik took off driving down the road.

I heard Clair let out a relieved sigh, when we were finally moving.

I leaned up against Alpha Drake and got comfortable, it’s going to be a long drive before we got home.
