Chapter 82: Planning the ceremony

Alpha Drake POV

I woke up before Isabella and didn’t want to wake her, so I decided to head to my office. I knew there would be matters that require my attending, after being gone for two days.

I spent an hour, sorting through the endless pile of papers, before Isabella walked into my office, dressed in a pair of spandex shorts and an ocean blue sports bra. She looked so damn sexy, the colour of her bra made her eyes pop. I hated that other men would see her looking so good, but I’ve learned over the past month, that I need to pick my battles when it comes to Isabella and what she wears, would definitely be a losing one.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” She asked, with a pout.

“I didn’t want to wake you, you’re scary in the morning.” I replied and let out a chuckle.

“I wish I could deny that, but I can’t, I hate mornings.” Isabella replied, with a shoulder shrug, while walking around the desk and taking a seat on my lap.

“We need to plan your Luna ceremony, I don’t want to wait any longer, before making you my official queen.” I said to her, as I kissed her lips softly.

“Mmmm, I can’t wait.” Isabella replied.

“How about in two days, we will first do the joining ceremony for you and Trish and hold the Luna ceremony immediately after?” I asked, hopeful that she would agree.

“That sounds great.” She replied, with a smile.

“Perfect, I’ll make all the arrangements. We should head out for training, it’s going to start soon.” I said to her and she nodded, she stood from my lap and headed towards the door.

“Oh and FYI Drake, now that the rogue Alpha is dead and I’ll be able to mind-link in a few days, I want to be put back on patrol.” Isabella said sternly, as we started walking down the hall. I cringed, still not liking the idea, specially with the Jill and that Thomas guy still out there, but I made a promise to her and I plan on keeping it.

“Ok, you’ll be on it after the Ceremony, when you’re capable of mind-linking with my pack members.” I replied. She glanced up at me and had a shocked expression, I guess she was expecting me to argue with her.

“I’m impressed, you’re like a whole new man.” She teased and I just smiled down at her.

We made it out to the training field and most of the warriors were already there.

Jared, Clair, Trish and Erik were standing by the front, chatting amongst each other.

“You look much calmer today, Clair.” I teased and I saw her face blush. Jared had a satisfied smirk on his face and seemed to be entertained by my joke.

“Yes, I think she slept well last night.” Jared replied, also teasing his mate. I chuckled, as I watch Clair, slap Jared’s shoulder.

“Trish, your joining ceremony will be in two days, I hope that’s ok with you.” I changed the subject and looked over at Trish.

“Oh, that soon? Have I earn the big bad Alpha’s trust?” She asked, jokingly.

“Anyone who fights along side my Luna, has earned my trust and respect. You’re free to do as you wish, on my territory.” I replied sincerely.

“Thank you Alpha.” Trish said and smiled excitedly at me. I looked over and saw a proud smile on Erik’s face. He held so much love in his eyes for his mate.

“Now, I don’t need this prison guard following me around everywhere.” Trish joked and I saw Erik’s face fall, before she continued to speak.

“Luckily, I don’t mind his company, so he can stick around.” Trish finished and winked at Erik. We were brought out of our conversation, when someone spoke.

“Hey guys, heard you ladies took out the Rogue Alpha and his followers by yourselves, that’s impressive.” Warrior Brian said, while glancing between Isabella, Clair and Trish, with admiration in his eyes.

I didn’t like the male attention Isabella was getting, but I also knew, that what the ladies had accomplished was impressive, all of my warriors had already heard of what they did. I could hear, several warriors talking about it amongst themselves.

Training went by without a hitch and we all headed back to the pack house for lunch. I headed for my office after eating, I wanting to get a head start on the ceremony preparation, everything needs to perfect.

I spent several hours picking out the menu for the ceremony, as well as the decor. By the end of the day, I was exhausted, I hated planning ceremonies and usually, I would assign someone else the daunting task, but not this time, I wanted to plan everything personally.

The rest of the day went by in a flash. I found myself missing my mate and it had only been a couple hours since I last saw her.

She should be finishing up training the teens soon, then I could take her to dinner.

I made my way to our room and found Isabella already in there, ready for dinner. She was wearing a pair of leggings and an over size pink T-shirt that fell off her shoulder.

“You look beautiful.” I told her, as I leaned down and kissed her lips. She smiled up at me.

“Thank you, Alpha.” She said, in a teasing tone, emphasizing the word, Alpha.

“Are you hungry?” I asked.

“Famished.” She replied, with a seductive smile. My c**k twitched, just from the sound of her voice.

“We better go, if we stay in here any longer, we won’t be leaving for the rest of the night.” I growled out, wanted nothing more than to lock the door and stay in the room with her, for the rest of the night.

She chuckled, as she walked by me in the doorframe and intentionally rubbed her chest against mine. That little minx is trouble, I thought to myself.

We had dinner with the others and it was nice and carefree. We laughed and chatted about nothing in particular, I felt like all of the stresses of the world, had finally been lifted and I could enjoy my mate, without having to worry every minute, that she would be taken away from me.

The rest of the evening and follow day went by fast. I spent most of the time in my office, planning for the ceremony. Jared and Erik had been avoiding me, clearly they had no interest in being assigned party planning tasks. Those bastards, I thought to myself.

I guess, I’ll have to get everything ready on my own.

Isabella POV

I woke up early on the morning of my Luna ceremony, I was so excited, I couldn’t sleep. For once, I woke up full of energy and in a good mood, compared to my usual grumpy morning persona.

Alpha Drake had already left the room. He was a bit of a hot mess, stressing over all the small details of the ceremony. He had really been working hard the past two days, making sure that everything was perfect.

I got dressed and made my way down to the dinner hall for breakfast. I decided to skip training this morning, so I could get ready for the ceremony.

I saw Trish and Clair sitting at a table and quickly grabbed a breakfast sandwich, before joining them.

“Good morning.” I said, cheerfully.

“Someone’s in a good mood this morning, who are you and what have you done with my Bella?”Clair teased.

“What can I say, maybe becoming Luna, will make me appreciate mornings more.” I replied, with a shrug.

“Like hell, I bet your back to your old grumpy self, by tomorrow morning.” Clair teased and chuckled. I just rolled my eyes at her, knowing damn well she’s probably right.

“So, you ladies want to get ready together, for the ceremony?” I asked and glanced between Trish and Clair.

“Absolutely!” Both Trish and Clair replied, in unison.

“Sweet, ceremony starts at 3:00pm, so come up to my room around noon.” I instructed and they both nodded their heads.

“Are you nervous? You’re going to become the Luna, that’s a big deal.” Clair asked, with slightly wide eyes.

“Not really, I mean, I’m actually looking forward to having more of a role in running the pack. I think a woman’s perspective could really help around here and now that Alpha Drake promised to include my in pack business, I’m excited about getting involved.” I replied and shrugged my shoulders.

“I think your going to be an amazing Luna.” Trish said and I could hear the sincerity in her words.

“Awww, look at us getting along.” I teased.

“Shut up, that’s the last time I compliment you.” She shot back and I giggled. Deep down I’m really happy Trish stumbled into our territory, not only because Erik found her, but she’s turning out to be an amazing person and I already know, we’re going to be good friends.

“Ok, I better go replace my sexy little event planner, he was a basket case when he left the room this morning.” I said jokingly and both Clair and Trish chuckled.

“Good luck with that.” Trish said jokingly, as I stood up and walked away from the table.

I got to Alpha Drake’s office and opened the door. I found him sitting behind the desk talking on the phone, he smiled at me and motioned with his finger, that he would just be a minute. I walked into the room and sat down on the couch, waiting for him to be done with his phone call.

Not even a minute later, he hung up the phone and turned him attention to me.

“My Queen, are you ready for tonight?” He asked, as he stood up from his chair and walked over to where I was sitting. He sat down next to me and wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me tight against his body.

“I am, are you ready? You’re going to be stuck with me for life, after tonight.” I said, with an eyebrow raised. He chuckled and brought his lips down on mine.

“I couldn’t imagine my life without you.” He said, in his low and husky voice. A chill ran down my spine, at how confident he sounded.

His confidence, only solidified my desire to become his Luna. Bring on the ceremony, I’m ready.
