Chapter 94: Cheers

Alpha Drake POV

I couldn’t believe, that Isabella went to the High Mountain Pack and managed to catch Jill, when I couldn’t. That woman is something else, I’m lucky to have her. Now, we can finally move on and put Jill behind us.

We decided to host, a celebration dinner tonight, with our closest friends. There seems, to be a lot to celebrate lately, between pregnancies and DNA test results. Plus, Jet is staying with us for the night, before he returns to his territory tomorrow. I’m sure, both Clair and Isabella would enjoy spending sometime with him.

Isabella and I, headed back to our room, after we left the doctors office. We needed a nap before dinner, since neither one of us got any sleep the night prior.

“I will speak with the elders and arrange a trial.” I said and Isabella nodded. Her eyes were fluttering shut, I could see how tired she was. It had been a crazy couple of days and we can both finally relax.

“Sleep my queen.” I whispered into her ear, as I pulled her body into my chest and instantly felt her relax. It didn’t take long, before both of us dozed off.

I woke up to the sound of water running and looked over, to see the bed was empty. I could hear the shower running, Isabella must be in there.

I quickly str!pped out of my boxers and made my way to the bathroom.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” I asked, as I opened the shower door and walked in.

“You looked so peaceful, I figured I’d let you sleep a few extra minutes.” Isabella replied and I watched her eyes, travelled down my naked body.

I popped open a bottle of champagne, to make a toast and made sure to have non-alcoholic apple juice for Clair and Trish. I handed everyone a glass, before making a toast.

“Cheers, to the new lives that will be joining this world and to the fresh start, I get with my beautiful and amazing mate.” I said and raised my glass of champagne. Everyone else did the same.

“Cheers” everyone said in unison.

“This better be, the last fresh start. I swear to the moon goddess, if another women comes knocking, claiming to be pregnant with your baby. I’ll cut your balls off.” Isabella joked, but I didn’t miss the hidden threat in her words.

I swallowed the knot in my throat. I don’t doubt her, she wouldn’t hesitate for a second, before following through with her threat. Everyone was laughing at her joke. I did to, but it was a nervous laugh, not that I’m worried about any other she-wolves being pregnant, but Isabella scares me sometimes, she’s intimidating for such a little thing.

“So, now that Trish and Clair are pregnant, it only leaves you, Isabella. When are you guys, going to procreate?” Jet asked with a grin, while shovelling a fork full of food into his mouth.

“I don’t know.” Isabella replied, sounding uncomfortable. I’m actually surprised, she’s not already pregnant like the others, we have had a lot of s*x and never use protection. Maybe, we should see the doctor and make sure everything’s ok, just to be on the safe side, I thought to myself.

“Don’t pressure them.” Clair said and slapped Jet on the shoulder. He let out an “ow” sound and covered his shoulder with his hand.

“Sorry, jeez. No need to get violent, sis.” Jet teased and we all chuckled, while Clair jokingly glared at him.

The rest of dinner went by quickly, everyone was laughing and chatting, having a good time. It was nice and I felt a weight lifted from my shoulders.

Tomorrow, I will make arrangements for Jill and Alpha Theo’s trials. Hopefully, the council agrees with my decision, to apprehend Alpha Theo. He’s a snake and even his own pack members, don’t respect him.
