Chapter 97: Visiting The High Mountain Pack

Isabella POV

A month had gone by, since Trish and Erik had accepted the new position, at the High Mountain pack. They moved over there, two weeks ago and I already miss them.

Today, Drake and I are taking a little trip and going to visit them on their territory. I’m excited to see, what they’ve done with the place.

“You ready to go?” Alpha Drake asked, as he walked into our bedroom.

“Yup.” I replied excitedly, as I zipped up my overnight bag.

Drake took the bag from my hands, as we left the room and headed to the main level of the pack house.

Jared and Clair were waiting for us by the front doors.

Clair was really starting to show, now that she was two months pregnant. She was glowing and I could see how happy she way.

“You’re in charge, while we’re gone. Don’t screw up.” Drake teased.

“I’ll try my best.” Jared replied and chuckled.

“Give Trish a big hug for me and make sure she knows, how much we miss her.” Clair said, with a smile.

“I will.” I replied.

We made our way outside and Drake got into the driver seat of a black SUV. I got into the front passenger seat.

We said goodbye to Jared and Clair, before driving off.

I was happy that Erik and Trish’s territory, isn’t very far from ours. It’s only a two hour drive, so we will be able to visit each other often.

Around the halfway mark, I started to feel sick. Maybe it was the bumpy road, I thought.

“Can you pull over? I don’t feel good.” I asked Drake, while covering my mouth.

Drake glanced over at me and his eyes widened. I probably didn’t look very good. He immediately pulled the vehicle over and we came to a stop.

I got out of the vehicle just in time, before I vomited on the ground. Drake rushed over to my side and held my hair out of my face, while gently rubbing my back.

“Are you ok?” Drake asked softly and I could hear the concern in his tone.

“Ya, the road was a little bumpy, that’s all.” I replied and wiped my mouth with a Kleenex, that Alpha Drake had handed me.

Drake grabbed a bottle of water from the vehicle and gave it to me. I took a big sip, to rinse out of mouth.

“Ok, I think I’m better. Let’s go.” I said and glanced up at Drake, who still had a concerned look on his face.

“Are you sure? We can take a break from driving, if you need one.” Drake offered.

“No, I feel much better now.” I replied and he nodded his head.

We got back into the vehicle and continued to drive. My stomach was in knots the rest of the way, but I wasn’t sick again.

We pulled up to the main gates of the High Mountain Pack and a guard greeted us. He must of been expecting us, because he didn’t hesitate and let us in right away.

We continued to drive, until we reached the pack house. Trish and Erik, were waiting outside for us and when Trish saw me, a big smile spread across her face.

As soon as Drake stopped the vehicle. I jumped out and ran over to Trish, before wrapping my arms around her, in a tight hug.

“Oh my goddess, I missed you.” I squealed out excitedly.

“I missed you too.” She replied, as she wrapped her own arms around me.

Drake came up beside me and shook Erik’s hand, before hugging Trish.

“Alpha Trish, how are you guys adjusting?” Drake asked.

“Really well. The pack is amazing and everyone seems really happy with us, so far.” Trish replied and I could see the excited in her eyes.

“That’s great. I can already see a big difference, form the last time I was here. You guys have done a lot of work, on the territory already.” Drake said, with a sincere tone.

“Thank you, we’ve been taking it a day at a time, the pack members have really been helpful.” Trish replied, with a smile.

“Come in, guys. We can show you around.” Erik said, before turning around and leading us inside.

The pack house was smaller than ours, about half the size. Now, that they had cleaned it up, It looked really good inside.

When you enter into the foyer, it opens up into a common living area. There were a couple couches, arms chairs, a large flat screen TV on the wall and a coffee table. It had a modern decor.

“Over there is the kitchen, feel free to grab whatever you want. The door next to the kitchen, is the dinner hall.” Erik said, while pointing out each room.

“Come, we can show you where you’ll be staying tonight. Once you get a chance to freshen up, we can have lunch together and catch up.” Trish said excitedly.

“That sounds perfect.” I replied with a big smile.

We followed Trish and Erik, up two sets of stairs and down a hall way, before they stopped at a door.

“This is it, it’s not as fancy or big, as the rooms at the Crescent Moon pack, but it’s clean and comfy.” Trish said, as she opened the door.

The room was perfect. It had everything we needed, a king size bed sat in the middle, with two side tables. There was a walking closet and an ensuite bathroom. It was a cozy room.

“This is perfect. Thank you.” I said sincerely.

“Ok, we’ll let you guys freshen up. When you’re ready, come and meet us in the dinner hall.” Trish said and both Drake and I nodded. Trish and Erik turned and left the room, closing the door behind them.

I flopped down onto the bed, when we were alone and Drake sat next to me.

“Are you feeling any better?” Drake asked, with a concerned frown.

“Umm hum.. a bit. My stomach is still a little unsettled, but I don’t feel as bad as I did, when we were in the vehicle.” I replied truthfully.

Drake leaned down and kissed my forehead.

“Maybe we should get you checked out by a doctor.” Drake suggested, still looking concerned.

“I think, I just got a little car sick. If I still feel crappy when we get home tomorrow, I’ll go see Doctor Erickson.” I replied, with a small smile. Drake still looked concerned, but I saw a bit of relief in his eyes, when I agreed to go see a doctor tomorrow.

“We should get ready, so we can go and see Trish and Erik. I’m excited to hear, how things have been going.” I said and stood from the bed, before walking into the bathroom.

After being sick on the drive here, I was looking forward to brushing my teeth. I wasted no time, when I was in the bathroom and brushed them, before I washed my face.

I came back out of the bathroom and we were both ready to go.

We made our way down to the main floor and passed a few pack members along the way. They were all very friendly and greet us with smiles.

Once we reached the dinner hall, I immediately spotted Trish and Erik, seated at a table. They waved us over and we took a seat with them.

“What would you guys like to eat? We have burgers, different kind of sandwiches, salad, basically you name, we have it.” Erik asked, with a smile.

“Just water for me. Thanks.” I replied. I really wasn’t confident, that my stomach could handle food at this point, It was still doing flips. Both Trish and Erik looked at me with a frown.

“She got a little carsick on the way here.” Drake said, when he noticed their frowns.

“I’ve driven with you tones of times and you’ve never gotten sick, are you sure you’re not pregnant?” Trish asked curiously.

“I told Drake, that if I don’t feel good when we get home, I’ll go see the doctor.” I replied, while shrugging my shoulders. I was trying not to make a big deal of things. I didn’t want to get Drakes hopes up, if I was in fact just a little car sick.

“Nonsense, we have a really good doctor here. I’ll take you to see him after lunch.” Trish said excitedly. I didn’t argue, since I knew I was outnumbered and Drake would insist, that I take her up on the offer.

“Thanks Trish, I think that’s a good idea.” Drake replied and I glanced over at him, to see relief in his eyes.

They ate their lunch and I drank my water, while Trish and Erik told us everything about the pack. They really seem happy here and they don’t have any regrets, in the decisions they made. They decided to keep the previous Beta and Gamma and have been really happy with them so far. It’s nice to know, that Theo was the only bad apple of the pack.

They still had a lot of work to do, but I had no doubt, that they would do great things with this pack.

Once we were done eating, we got up and left the dinner hall.

“Come on, let’s go and see Doctor Ford.” Trish said.

“I’m coming with you.” Drake said pointed, while giving me a look, silently warning me not to argue. I rolled my eyes at him, pretending to be annoyed. But deep down, I loved how much he cares about me.

“Fine.” I replied and the four of us, made our way to the hospital. I thought this was a little over kill, but I wasn’t going to argue.

The hospital was a small one. There were two examination rooms and 1 doctors office. They didn’t have a full time receptionist, they mind-link the doctor directly, when they need him.

“I’ve already mind-linked the doctor. He’ll be here in a few minutes. He said to get comfortable, in one of the exam rooms.” Erik said, as he opened a door that lead into one of the rooms.

I walked over and sat on the bed, while Drake took a seat in the chair beside me.

“We’ll wait in the foyer. I don’t think we all need to be in here.” Trish said, before dragging Erik to the door.

“Thanks.” I replied, as they left the room and closed the door behind them.

I looked over at Drake and he looked nervous. I knew he was hopeful, that maybe I was pregnant, but I really hope he’s not disappointed, if It turns out I’m not. I really want to have a baby with him, I’m secretly also hoping, that the doctor says that I’m pregnant.

I was distracted from my thoughts, when there was a knock at the door.

“Come in.” Drake said.

The door opened and a middle aged man with a white doctors jacket walked in. He was around 45 years old, 6”, muscular build and had salt and pepper coloured hair.

“Good morning Luna Isabella and Alpha Drake, I’m Doctor Ford. I’ve been told, that haven’t been feeling well?” The Doctor said, while looking at me.

“Good morning Doctor. That’s right, I got sick during the car ride here.” I replied.

“Ok, I’ll run a few test, see if we can’t figure out what the problem is.” The Doctor said and I nodded my head.

Once he was done poking and prodding at me. He left us alone in the room and went to assess the samples he took, for the results.

We waited in silence, for the Doctor to return.

Thirty minutes later, there was a knock at the door and this time, the Doctor walked right in.

“Luna, Alpha. I have the results for you.” The Doctor said, with a smile and paused for a second before continuing. My heart rate was racing and the anticipation was killing me.

“You’re 4 weeks pregnant. Congratulations!” The Doctor announced. Oh my Goddess, I can’t believe it.

I looked over at Drake and he looked shocked, as the news sunk in.

“We’re going to have a baby?” He asked in a shocked voice and the doctor chuckled.

“You are, Alpha.” He replied.

“Oh my goddess, Isabella! We’re going to have a baby.” Drake shouted, as he picked me up from the bed and hugged me tightly, against his chest. I giggled at his excitement.

“I’ll give you guys some privacy. Would you like me to tell Alpha Trish and Alpha Erik, to come in?” The Doctor asked, with a smile on his face.

“Yes, please. Thank you Doctor.” I replied. Drake still hadn’t set me down, It was a little awkward answering the Doctor, while dangling in the air.

The Doctor left the room and Drake kissed me passionately. I could feel happiness and excitement radiating through him. I loved his reaction, he’s going to be such a good father, I thought to myself.

Two minutes later, Trish and Erik came barging in and Drake finally decided to put me down.

“Are you ok? The Doctor said we could come in. What’s going on?” Trish asked, with concern.

“I’m pregnant.” I replied, with a smile and I watched both Trish and Erik’s eyes widened, as they processed the news.

“Oh my goddess, I knew it! Congratulations.” Trish squealed and engulfed me in a hug.

Erik also congratulated us, before hugging me and shaking Drakes hand.

This is the best news ever. I can’t believe Drake and I, are going to have a baby.
