Chapter 96: I have a proposition for you guys

“What are you doing Drake?” I asked curiously, as he stalked towards me, like a predictor. I could see the l**t in his eyes and my heart beat started speeding up.

There’s no one currently in that pack, with Alpha B***d. The Beta is running it right now, but he can’t stay in the role permanently.” Drake said, in a serious tone. He looked deep in thought.

“Who are you going to suggest?” I asked, with a curious frown.

“As much as I don’t want to lose either of them. I’m thinking of suggesting, Trish and Erik, as co-Alpha’s. it would be a good opportunity for them and Trish has strong Alpha b***d, running through her veins. She’s more than capable of running a pack. I bet together, they could really turn that pack around.” Drake said and I was surprised at his words.

I mean, it would be a great opportunity for them, but I hate the idea of losing Trish. We’ve become so close, over the past few months. Her and Clair are like sisters to me.

“I would hate to lose them, but it makes total sense. If it’s something they want, I would support them 100%. I agree, Trish is a born leader, she would be an amazing Alpha.” I replied. I wonder how they will react, when Drake asked them.

“How about, we call them in here now and see what they think?” Drake suggested.

“Ya sure, I’m curious what they will say.” I replied and I watched as Drake’s eyes glazed over for a minute, before they returned back to normal.

“They’re on the way.” Drake said and I took a seat on the couch, while we waited.

Ten minutes later, there was a knock on the door.

“Come in” Drake announced, before Trish and Erik both walked in.

“Holy s**t, I think I would of gotten pregnant just off the smell alone in here, if I wasn’t already.” Trish joked, as she scrunched her nose in disgust. Erik chuckled and shook his head. He took a seat across from Drake and Trish sat down next to him.

Oops, I forgot that they would be able to smell what we did in here, before they came in.

“Ya, sorry about that. Maybe I should crack a window.” I said sheepishly, as I stood from the couch and opened the window. Trish and Erik both chuckled. I glanced at Drake, who wasn’t fazed at all. He a proud grin on his face.

“What’s up Boss? Why did you call us her?” Erik asked curiously.

“I have a proposition to run by you guys.” Drake said and paused for a minute before continuing.

“You know, now that the High Mountain Pack lost their Alpha, they need a replacement. There’s no one currently in that pack, that has Alpha b***d. The elders asked for my recommendation, on a replacement and I thought of you guys. If you were interested, you could be co-Alpha’s. Trish comes from a strong b***d line and qualifies for the position. This could be a great opportunity for you and you family.” Drake said and I watched as both their eyes widened in shock.

No one spoke for several minutes, as they processed what Drake was offering. I was anxious to hear what they thought.

“Wow, I wasn’t expecting that, at all. I think this is a decision, for my amazing Alpha Mate. I would follower her anywhere.” Erik replied, while he glanced at Trish, with so much admiration in his eyes.

“I’m honoured that you thought of me, Alpha Drake. Can we think about it and get back to you?” Trish asked.

“Absolutely, there’s no rush. The pack Beta is currently taking care of the position, until we replace a suitable replacement.” Drake replied.

“Ok, I’ll have an answer for you, by the end of the day.” Trish said and I could see the glint of excitement in her eyes.

Erik and Trish left the office. I had a gut feeling, that they would accept the position.

Trish POV

I was completely shocked, at Alpha Drakes proposition. I was not expecting that at all. The High Mountain Pack is in rough shape, thanks to their of leader and needs a lot of work. They need a strong leader to get them back on track.

Erik and I, made our way to our bedroom in silence, we both were processing the offer.

Once we made it to our room, Erik broke the silence.

“What do you think?” He asked, with a curious frown.

“I’m not sure, honestly. It’s a big responsibility, that pack is in need of good leadership.” I replied truthfully.

“I think you would be an amazing Alpha, you’re strong, independent, smart and fair. All the traits, that a good leader possesses.” Erik replied and I could see the sincerity in his face. I smiled at him, goddess I love this man.

“How would you feel about leading with me?” I asked. I don’t want to push anything on him, that he’s not ready for.

“Honestly, I think it’s a great opportunity for us and for our kids. They will be the heirs to the pack. I can be your Ma-na, get it, like the man version of Luna.” Erik joked, with a big grin on his face.

I couldn’t help but chuckled and shake my head at him. I love how easy going he is and how comfortable he is with his masculinity. He doesn’t seemed fazed at all, with the thought of me outranking him.

“I think we should do it then.” I replied, with an excited smile.

Erik wrapped his arms around me and lifted me in the air, before spinning me around excitedly.

“I can’t believe we are going to do this. Goddess, I love you.” Erik said, as she kissed my lips passionately.

“Let’s go and tell Alpha Drake.” I said, as I pulled away from the k**s. Erik nodded, with a big smile on his face. I was happy that he was also excited about the opportunity. I would of never agree to it, if he wasn’t sure. My family is the most important to me.
