Ji’lahni POV: day 3

I g*****d in pain. I couldn’t even tell you what hurt at this point. Let’s just say my arm was the least painful. ” Shaw, Min, you good?” “Yea we good. you?” They both answered and asked. “Yea. I’m good.” I said as I sat up on the cot that was just that a box cot no mattress and a thin a*s wool blanket. Since we’ve been here they have done almost everything to us except rape us because their alpha had strictly forbid it claiming that he had plans and didn’t want us ruined before he was able to collect on his plans. We were battered and bruised but trust me we have done our fair share of damage since we knew they couldn’t kill us or f**k us up permanently. So we fought like our life depended on it because it did. We also were trying to learn everything we could about this place. We have been on our own since we were young so we had to always make sure we knew our surroundings and also how to replace each other if we came up missing and how to survive if possible until we were found with the knowledge that someone is looking for us and when we met Lynn we included her into our family so now even though we don’t know how long she will take to replace us we know she will be looking, and that is all that matters right now.

“So how many guards did you count today are they any new ones?” I ask Mina. Coming to my cot. ” I counted 25. 2 at every exit and there is 5 exits there 4 guards on us instead of 2 like before probably because of the other day” She said with a smile. Since the 1st day here when they thought we were knocked out after they took us to the lab because they were collecting our b***d we weren’t exactly sure why but we do know is somehow our b***d affects them in a bad way. So while they dragged us out. Shawna was able to grab a knife, when Mina distracted the guards and nurses in the lab. When they were dragging us Shawna sliced her hand and I simply got b***d from my open wound and smeared some on Mina’s hand. When they least expected it, we grabbed their hand so they let go of us and slapped them across face, kicked them in the balls and tried to hightail it out of there but because we didn’t know the layout we didn’t get far and we got f****d up for that and the men had to be transferred to the medical clinic because although wolves could heal, But our b***d cause them not to be able to heal as they should. So now the men were walking around with our hand print on their faces. The only regret I have is that I didn’t have my bird finger in position when I hit him. I thought Smiling to myself.

“That means that the other 11 are on the outside of the camp. And that isn’t counting the chefs, nurses, and the alpha himself.” OK “how many vials of our b***d do they have now and what were you able to replace out from nurse d**k head?” “As of now they have 36 vials and Zane plans to use us as weapons against other packs to eliminate them like some type of world domination type s***. I wasn’t able to replace out why only our b***d affects them.” Shawna shrugged. We found that piece out yesterday apparently we were the only humans with b***d that could hurt a werewolf ever in history. We couldn’t figure that s**t out because our history didn’t have anything about werewolves or even our bloodline being anything special.

“OK here’s what we all know. They are planning to use our b***d as a weapon against other pack, there’s 25 guards protecting the compound 4 on us and 2 on each door which are 5 exist. Ok for me I know the guards rotate shift every 22 hours they take 1 hour breaks every 6 hours. The alpha leaves the compound at 9pm every night and returns at 9am every morning from what I hear the nurse say. They exit out the back by the kitchen. So that must mean thats where lower level employees come and go which would be the best option for us if we have the opportunity to escape we would have to have a solid plan before we even attempt to try and break out. Feeling dizzy and nauseous I vomited yet again. “Hey cousin are you sure you’re OK. You have been vomiting since you got here and you look like your losing weight and color.” “I’m fine I told you I think because I wasn’t at 100% before we got thrown in here that I have more then likely regressed and my arm must be infected. But we can’t worry about that now. All we have to do is stay alive at least until we can escape or Lynn replaces us. At least then I didn’t want to let on but I really wasn’t doing OK. And I know if we had to escape I would only slow them down thats why I had a plan on top of our plan. I would make sure they made it out alive even if it kills me. With that thought I got ready for another day of BNB aka beatings and b***d.

Makahi POV: 5am

“Kahi help me she’s going to kill me.” I jumped up to Summer screaming in my head. “Where are you?” I asked hopping out of bed throwing on some sweats not bothering to put on a shirt. I added Hunter, Shadow, Montago and Blaze into our mindlink. “She drugged me to the med clinic.” Summer screamed. I raced to the clinic seeing everyone crowding at the door I hear Summer screaming and crying from outside everyone parted as me Shadow, Hunter and Montago approached. Walking into the clinic I see Summer on her knees half shifted and looks like she’s been in a hell of a fight and lost and the most interesting part is she lost to a human who was holding two blades at her throat which judging from the b***d running down summer’s neck she was prepared to use it.

But before I could say anything Montago roared “MATE!” The stranger eyes widen for a split second before she focused back on me. seeing Montago’s struggle to control his wolf. “Montago calmed down now.” I commanded using my Alpha aura to push the command he visibly settles and nods a thanks my way. I don’t usually use my aura on him because he is my Beta and my best friend. Turning back to the woman making sure I remain calm because I don’t want Montago to lose his s**t trying to protect his mate if that’s what she was. “Can you tell me why you have your knife at my future mates throat.” “Well thats simple I want to know what she has done to my friends. I haven’t heard from them at all and when I got here I couldn’t track them. I have been trying to reach Lateri with no luck so here I am. Seems as though this one has had it out for them from the beginning so I figured why not start with here.” She said squeezing the blade tighter causing more b***d to flow as Summer screams in pain. “Lynn I presume. I’m Alpha Makahi.” “I know who and what you are, wolf.” She said cutting me off.

Now I’m the one shocked, but why should I be if she was working with Ji’lahni and her cousins to wipe us out she would know what we are. Glancing at Montago who is barely holding his wolf in and seeing the sadness in his eyes that his mate wants to kill our kind hurts him and his wolf just as much as Ji’lahni’s betrayal. Turning back to Lynn. “I’m sure you also know that we found out about your plan to wipe our kind out and you should understand that your crew had to be arrested, questioned, and will stand trial for their crime. You should also know that they confessed to the charges brought against them.” I said with bile raising in my throat at the mention of the crimes they committed. Hearing my mother yelling for people to get out of the way she comes barreling in. “LYNN OH MY GODDESS!” My mother cried racing over to the girl not caring that she currently had a knife to Summer’s throat she hug the girl not even trying to disarm her, hell she looked like she was trying to make sure she didn’t make her lose her grip. Clearing my throat my mother finally looked at the scene before her and I could tell she smirked alittle.

“Mother can you please tell your friend to let Summer go.” I mindlinked “Hey she has every right to want to know where her family is and want the person responsible to pay.” She responded with a shrug. “MOTHER!” I growled. “Hey watch your tone young man you may be the alpha but I’m still your mother.” She said cutting me from her mind and turning to friend. “Lynn sweetie I’m glad you’re here so you can help me replace the girls I have been doing everything I can to replace them.” My mother said sadly. She definitely has been contacting all her old friends trying to replace them with no help from me. “Lynn please let this i***t go so we can replace the girls we will deal with her once all this is over. She said walking up to Lynn who visible sags against her. Summer took the opportunity to duck from under her Blades and scrambled over to me falling into my arms I quickly pushed her behind me still not approaching. “Now that we have that settled I would love to chat with you at our facility where we can talk safely.” I said calmly “Please don’t insult my intelligence I’m not going anywhere with you. But I sure as hell would love to know what the hell you think me and my friends have done to your kind.” She responded which shocked my mother. She gasped and took a step back. “You knew what I was all along?”

Giving my mother a small smile. “Yes momma Lateri I have always known. My grandmother who is an ancient protector of the Asian dragon shifters she made me and my siblings train and studied the old ways of the dragon shifters, she use to tell me stories of all the shifters in existence including werewolves although I thought she was bat s**t crazy until I met you. That’s why I didn’t come when the girls came I went to visit my grandmother. I needed to know everything about your kind in order to make sure we were safe. I allowed them to come because I trusted that you would protect them until I got here.” She finished sadly. My mom face looked guilt ridden as though she had somehow let her down she broke down crying and Lynn embraced her telling her it wasn’t her fault but looking at me and Montago with hatred.

“Did the girls know about us?” My mother asked. Lynn shook her head. “No they didn’t know I didn’t tell them because my grandmother always told me no one can know about your existence because it would put not only them in danger but also the shifter community. So I didn’t tell them and I’m upset that I didn’t because they are more of a family to me then my own and I left them vulnerable to be attacked and imprisoned by likes of your son and his dumb a*s mate.” She said looking at me.

“They are where they belong because you and your friends are trying to kill us with your tainted b***d.” Summer yelled feeling brave now that she had backup. Frowning. “What the hell are you talking about you crazy b***h. The only one they would probably want to kill is your dumb a*s but please understand that option is still on the table if anything happens to my friends.” She sneered at Summer. “Wait so they didn’t know th that we were wolves? So why did they inject themselves with a substance that can hurt us?” I asked urgently my wolf was pacing my heart was racing afraid her answer would make me wrong about everything. “What? First and most important Shawna is deathly afraid of needles she wouldn’t allow anyone near her with a needle. we have to go with her to get b***d drawn every year and she always has to be held down.” Lynn smiled at the thought. “And what the hell would they even Inject into themselves to harm you if they didn’t even know wolves existed.” Lynn said angrily my mother hands Lynn the test results she got from the nurse behind the desk. Lynn reads the test and her eyes widen in shock at what she sees. “You think because they have whatever this is in their b***d that they somehow we want to kill werewolves? Even if that were true how the hell would they accomplish that without killing themselves in the process. You all are fools.” Lynn said rolling her eyes.

“Excuse me excuse me please allow me into my clinic why on earth is everyone crowding into my waiting area.” The doc said worming his way through the crowd stopping short when he reaches me. “Oh I’m sorry alpha I didn’t know you were here. Actually I’m glad you are though. I just got back and wanted to share my replaceings. He said clearly not reading the room. Pulling folders out of his brief case he opened the file. “Alpha I ran every test known to man trying to figure out why the human women’s b***d affected us and it turns out they have traces of wolfbane in there systems.” The Doc finished and the whole entire room damn near fainted.

“OH MY GOD! That is why yall have locked my friends away like criminals because yall found traces of wolf bane?” Lynn said through all the loud chatter. “Yes because wolf bane can be deadly to werewolves.” I said angrily. “s**t! This is all kinds of f****d up there has been a big mistake.” Lynn said worriedly. “There has been no mistake the Doc just proved that you and your friends were trying to kills us and you need to be locked in a cage along with them.” Summer spoke loudly and had other pack members nodding in agreement and growling. Lynn’s hands reached for her blades taking a step back. I can’t feel Montago’s wolf Diago pushing forward.” Everyone quiet Summer I am the Alpha and I say what will be done know your place or be out in the cellars until you do. Is that clear to everyone.” I said releasing my Alpha’s aura. Turning to face Lynn would you car to explain why is it that you and the others have wolf bane in your system? Crossing my arms over my chest.

Lynn looked worried for a second but quickly held her head high and spoke with confidence. “5 years ago after we graduated from college we decided before we start our careers we would travel to different countries and tour old ruins and learn about ancient history we love learning about history. We took a tour in London where the tour guide an old native Americans woman told us about different types of plants and flowers that had healing properties. she told us about a bunch of different remedies and plants. Once we reached Europe we took a tour through a old ruin that was said to be the home of some Greek God’s while we were walking we came across a beautiful purple plant that looked like one of the plant the old native woman told us that would make our skin look useful and glow. We are girls in our 20’s so of course we would try anything to maintain our youthful look. Once we finished the tour. we grind the flower into powder and made tea. When we tasted it, it was bitter as hell but black folks always found a way, so we added loads of sugar and drank it fast. After we finished the tea about 15 minutes in we became very ill. I remember feeling like my entire body was on fire and it felt like my skin was melting off. Ji’lahni passing out had us calling the local hospital by the time they got to us we were all passed out. Which is the last thing we remember until we woke up.

They told us that we should all be dead but by some miracle we weren’t that’s when we found out that we ingested wolfbane and that somehow the sugar we added counteracted the poison and toxins and made it weaker somehow. The doctors couldn’t explain it because they have never had a case where someone actually lived. they told us that we will always have traces of wolfbane in out system and they couldn’t tell us if it will one day affect us but asked us to get bloodwork yearly and notify them if we develop side effects. We never have and we just put it behind us as a freak accident.” She Finished with a shrug. I could barely breath with what she just told me my head felt like it would explode the way my wolf howled in pain at what my mate must have been going through how much she may have suffered at the hands of Alpha Zane I have heard how evil and sick he was.

“You lying b***h kahi you can’t believe that farce of a story.” Summer said grabbing my arm trying to get my attention but I can only keep replaying Lynn’s words over and over in my head. Actually that does coincide with my replaceing Alpha. When I first found out what was in their b***d it intrigued me to further my research. I checked every hospital that has had wolfbane emergencies where people who came into contact with the plant and almost every hospital that has had a case of wolfbane the people always died except for 1 instance in Europe where 4 human women were brought in because they accidentally ingested wolfbane but they miraculously survived. The doctors couldn’t explain why and was shocked that the women had no side effects at all so what this young lady said is true.” The doctor finally looks up at us as we all stared at him. My breathe was stuck in my throat If what the Doc and Lynn said was true then that means I was wrong about Ji’lahni and she was…… “So you’re saying that they accidentally ingested wolfbane that they didn’t know wolves existed?” Montago asked the doctor directly he visibly swallow “Uh. I would almost guarantee that they have no idea about our kind but it is very urgent that I get Ji’lahni in here to run test she may be experiencing side effects now that her body is changing.” The doctor said urgently.

“What the hell are you talking about doc we can’t change human into wolves with a scratch.” I said angrily losing my patience. “Oh no Alpha she isn’t turning into a werewolf thats crazy. She’s pregnant. Almost 2 weeks to be exact and by my calculations she was here when she conceived so it is quite possible that she carrying a pup. If she’s still pregnant that is because of the wolfbane in her b***d there is no way to tell if she would be able to carry a pup along with not knowing if a human woman can carry a pup to term.” Hearing the doc’s words hit me in the gut and it felt like all the air was being sucked out of my lung as my mind tunneled down memory lane to the first night Ji’lahni came home from the hospital my c**k was so achingly hard that it was leaking pre c*m from just being that close to her and smelling her arousal I only got half way in before I stopped it. Could I have gotten her pregnant that night. Can human women give birth to pups. Everyone gasp I heard Summer cry out. “How could you? How could you sleep with that fat bitch.” Summer screamed angrily. Grabbing her by the throat. “You will respect the woman carrying your future alpha. I understand your anger but you will respect Ji’lahni or leave your choice.” I said my eyes changing color to that of my wolf. “How can you say that to me after everything we’ve been to each other. You don’t even know if she’s still pregnant or even if she’s still alive. Summer sneered “you better pray to the goddess that she is unharmed you’re the reason your uncle has them.” I said letting her dropped to the ground. Turning to Montago who was staring at Lynn unsure of what to do. “Montago I know you need to handle things with Lynn so I won’t make you go while I search for the girls. You can stay and sort things out with Lynn.” I said to my beta.

“Uh excuse me I don’t know what Lynn he will be talking to. But lynndoria will be continuing the search for her friends.” She said crossing her arms over her chest. Montago whipped his head angrily then he went up to Lynn. So close she had to look up to be eye to eye with Montago. “I forbid it! It is too dangerous. we’re dealing with werewolves men. I can’t very well do my duty as Beta if I’m worrying about you.” Frowning at him. “Listen and you listen good. You will never in this life or the next, think that you can tell me what I can and cannot do. Those are my friends and I will continue looking for them with or without your help.” She said going around Montago but before she walked pass he grabbed her arm. Without anyone seeing or noticing we heard Montago gasp everyone looked down at the blade she had pointed at his side. “You need to let my arm go you’re wasting precious time. I don’t want any man or wolf if they don’t value what I care about most which is my friends and my family.” With that’s said she snatched her arm out of Montago’s grasp.

“You can’t seriously be thinking of going to rescue those humans? You don’t even know if any of this is even true.” Summer said standing in front of me as I turn to walk out behind Lynn. Looking down at her. I didn’t have time to explain anything to her. “Summer step aside we’ll discuss this when I return.” I said stepping around her. I can hear her screaming in anger but I ignored her because my only focus was replaceing my woman and my pup. I never felt so much love for someone I didn’t even know but hearing I have a pup the love I felt was instant. Knowing that Ji’lahni and my baby was at the mercy of alpha Zane made my b***d boil. The need to protect them had my wolf pacing and lusting for b***d. “Everyone to the pack house we need a plan.”

Once we were settled in the meeting room. I looked around at my men who were all barely able to keep their wolves in check because of the need to protect their future alpha my pup he is the future of our pack. All alphas only births sons it’s the way the moon goddess ensures that our alpha bloodline is strong and fearless a protector and a provider for our packs. “Now that we’re all here we need a plan that will get the women out safely. In order to do that we need to replace them and then we need a plan of attack. We know the secret facility will be heavily guarded. So we will need to scout before we attack once we replace them we will have to be quick about it they have already been there for days. We have no time to waste especially with one of them pregnant and not knowing it. We know where his borders are so its safe to assume that his secret facility is near by knowing him the way we do we know he will want to have access to the facility so he can come and go as he pleases.” I said pacing back and forth. “If you know that then I will be able to replace them from there once we’re close.” Lynn said and we all turned to her almost forgetting she was there. “How?” Montago asked.

“Well when we decided to travel to different countries we wanted to make sure that if we got separated or worse we could replace each other so we got locator chips put in under our skin. I hadn’t been able to get a signal from them so they must be out of range. But I’m sure once we’re close I will be able to pick up a signal.” She answered. Damn our women were smart i thought my adrenaline was at an all time high. “Well let’s move Shadow assemble a team that will go and the rest will stay and protect the borders we leave in 30 minutes.” I pray to God we’re not to late. As I prepare to get my mate and my pups back.
