The Alpha’s Plus Size Urban Human Mate – Chapter 129
The safe camp’s POV:
20 minutes before the attack
“Something is happening. There are clouds forming everywhere. The witch must have started the ritual. We need to move,” Montego said to Makahi. “Alright, first team we are the distraction. Luna, mother, Mylan, Lynn, Mina, and Shawna. Team two, you’re on search and rescue. They are no longer in the castle as we suspected. So, that means we need people in the air to locate the witch from the skies, Dradon. You and your sister will need to fly through the skies and locate where the witch is and give a fire signal once you replace her.” Makahi said to the dragons, and they nodded. The easy-going Dradon was gone and replaced with a dragon warrior. Once they give the signal, team one will draw her away from the ritual ground. Luna, mother, what I need you to do is watch and see what direction she comes from and when the coast is clear, you go and replace the girls and dad. Mom, you have to try and connect with dad using the mates’ bond. Hopefully, you can feel the mates’ bond even if he has no wolf, which will help you replace him. Shawna, it is important that you stay out of sight. You replace a place as high as you can and setup. You and the girls have coms so use them to watch their backs and I will have one so I will be able to know if they encounter trouble. Once you replace him, give him the potion the witches gave us so he can access his wolf.
Once you get the girls, you get the hell out of here and back to the safe zone. Mother, once they are safe, you mind link us, and let us know so we can get the hell out of here.” Makahi said with authority. The women nodded, scared but determined. “Rimmy, bruin, and hawk you will act as rides for your Luna, Mina, and Lynn. I will alert you when they are on their way back. You take them to the safe zone and come back to aid us if needed. If we can draw the witch out of her realm, we will do that so we can even the playing field, because we don’t know how long her sister’s protection spells and potions will last. At least back on earth we will have her sisters, who are waiting to help. Montego and Shadow. Once we draw the witch, I need you two to wait until you see all her men and start attacking from the backend. Take as many as you can.
They won’t be expecting us to have a third and fourth team. Dradon, if what your grandmother said is true, then you will need to make sure your brother isn’t attacking us from the sky. You will need to get him out of the game as fast as you can and get him back to the safe zone and get back here to help aid in the search for your riders’ siblings. We will need to be fast because this is the witch’s house, and she has the advantage. Let’s not think anything we have planned will work. But we will stick to those plans until we have no choice and communicate so we can all get out of here safely. The doc is here and has his equipment set up. If you get injured and it doesn’t heal, don’t be a hero. You fallback, let the doc heal you and get back out into the fight. Got it?” Makahi commended them, and they all nodded their heads. They started splitting up into teams.
Makahi’s POV:
My heart was pounding, not out of fear but at the thought of allowing Ji’lahni to go off alone in this fight. But I couldn’t allow anyone to see my nerves and how worried I was about Ji’lahni. “Hey, Ji’lahni.” I called, coming up behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist, and pulling her away from the crowd. Once we were away from the crowd, I turned her into my arms and hugged her tightly. “Baby, I’m scared too, but our girls are even more afraid than we are. I promise I will make sure that I get me and the girls to safety. I also need you to promise that if it comes down to it that you will get our girls safely out of here and don’t you dare fall apart, they will need you and please take care of my cousins. I don’t want them to suffer, you make sure they are happy and taken care of. Promise me?” Ji’lahni asked, and Maka growled in my head. “No, I will not make a promise like that. I can’t live without you. If you die, so will I, so you will not die. Understand?” I asked, seriously. I cupped her cheeks, lifted her head up, and lowered my head so we were eye to eye. I need you and our girls safe, not you or her, but both of you.” Makahi demanded. I nodded speechless.
I could see the emotions and fear in his eyes. I needed him to be on his A game. I don’t need him to be worried about me because that could cost people their lives. So, it is up to me to make sure that, no matter what, my family and my babies get out of this hellhole safely. Sure, he will kill me if something happens to me or if he knows what was actually going through my head. He would definitely kill my a*s. “I will make sure we are safe Makahi, I promise.” I said, kissing him with all the love I have for him. “Really! I swear you all replace any reason to suck on each other’s faces,” Shawna said, standing in the tent as everyone waited for us. Shadow was standing close to her with his arms crossed, and stared her down. He looked like he was considering tying her up to one of the trees out here. “Let’s go get our girls.” I said, walking her back to her family before I walked over to my team.
Shadow’s POV:
“I need you to rethink this. You can stay up here with a doc. You can help with the injured. You don’t have to go out there and put yourself in danger.” I said, walking up behind her. I wanted to touch her, to wrap her in my arms, but I knew I couldn’t. She turned to me with her fiery blue eyes that seemed to glow since she was pregnant. “Shadow, we have been over this, my cousins have also tried to get me to not help. I will tell you like I told them. I will not stand by if I could help get our girls out of that crazy b***h hands. I will not do anything stupid, and I will make sure I’m safe and well-hidden and once the girls are out, I will come back here and help the doc. I am promising you like I promised them.” she said, knowing I needed to hear it just as much as her cousins did. I wanted to say more but decided against it. I just nodded, then turned to head over to my team. “Shadow?” Shawna called out to me. Grabbing my arm, we weren’t mates, but every time Shawna touches me, my heart races and I feel chills down my spine. I turned to look back at her in confusion.
“I know you’re scared for me and our boys. I know you love them just as much as I do. So, I will make sure we get out of this alive and, besides, these boys are already protective of their momma.” She said, rubbing her growing belly. She took my hand and placed it on her belly, and I realized that my life is nothing without them, without the four of them. I dropped down to my knees, placing both of my hands on her belly and I could feel them moving around like crazy. I glanced up at Shawna and she was frowning like she was in pain. “Hey guys, cut it out, you’re making momma uncomfortable.” I said, and the movements settled instantly.
I smiled proudly because they recognized my voice. “OK guys, I’m going to need your help. I won’t be able to protect your momma while I’m out. So, I need you guys to help me protect your momma. Make sure no bad men hurt her. OK?” I asked, not expecting a reply. But they started to move again. “Hey man, they are hurting me. Why would you do that?” Shawna asked. Hitting me on the head. I laughed and kissed her belly. Not really caring if she gets mad. I got up and kissed her lips. She can kill me for it later. “Now look who is playing suck face with their baby daddy. Yea, she is definitely going to kill me once this is over. But it will be worth it. I’ll die a happy man.
