Somehow, Eric felt that something was wrong when he heard Angie's words.

It seemed that something was about to break out of the ground.

He did not feel any pleasure from Tyler being arrested.

What exactly was it?

Eric calmed himself down.

He did not speak.

Angie did not mind either.

Her voice was light, with a bit of viciousness and tenderness.

"I can let anyone die for you, but why can't you see how much I love you?"

Eric said, "Are you sick in the head?'

Angie clicked her tongue.

"It's different now. Tyler is no longer in this world, but I will always be here."

She laughed and hung up the phone.

Eric looked at the blacked-out screen with a stiff and cold face.

He had a bad feeling about this.

Did Clayton make a deal with Angie when he released her?

Clayton wanted to kill Angie when he was on the boat.

What made Clayton let Angie go?

If Eric knew the answer, then all his problems would be solved.

Eric threw his phone angrily. His face was gloomy and sullen.

Angie was like a ghost that haunted him.

Old Master Ferguson's funeral was scheduled for the end of that month.

Mitchell organized a grand funeral that fit Old Master Ferguson's preferences when he was alive.

Nicole and Clayton received a call from Floyd about the funeral, so they got on the plane ahead of time.

After all, Old Master Ferguson was a reputable figure in the business world, so it was not acceptable if they did not show up.

What's more, the relationship between the Stantons and Fergusons attracted a lot of attention. If Nicole was absent, it would cause unnecessary speculation from the outside world. Thus, Nicole must go back.

Clayton packed all the things Nicole bought in the past few days and brought them home.

Fortunately, they took a private jet.

When Nicole returned home, Mr. Anderson was so elated that he could not stop smiling.

Clayton chuckled lightly and asked someone to bring in all the gifts they brought back.

Grant and Floyd came downstairs after talking about work. They were stunned when they saw this scene.

They raised their eyebrows.

Clayton nodded. "Dad, Big Brother, we're back."

Floyd nodded happily. "I was just talking about you guys. You guys arrived earlier than expected!"

Nicole smiled, walked over, and hugged her father.

"That's because I miss you guys so much!"

Floyd knew that it was just flattery, but he still could not help but feel elated.

"Yeah, right!"

Nicole smiled.

Grant pushed his silver-framed glasses up and looked at Clayton.

The two men exchanged glances, and Grant understood everything.

Clayton's actions were nothing but apologetic.

Only Grant knew about Nicole's injury.

Grant did not tell Floyd, so Clayton felt like he had escaped a catastrophe.

Naturally, Clayton had to thank his brother-in-law for that.

Nicole went to the playroom. Chatty was really immersed in her game with Levi and could not extricate herself.

Thus, Nicole went over to hug the little girl and gave her a few big kisses.

Chatty frowned and leaned back.

"Mommy, no!"

Her sweet and tender voice almost melted Nicole's heart.

Nicole ignored the last word that she said and looked at her in surprise.

"Chatty knows how to say Mommy now?"

Chatty glanced at Nicole without any surprise and joy and continued to play with Levi.

Levi obediently greeted Nicole "Auntie". He was such a handsome little boy that Nicole could not bear to ignore him.

Thus, Nicole hugged him and kissed him a few times before she let go of him.

Levi wiped his face and sighed softly.

His rejection was useless, so he could only helplessly accept it.

Auntie Nicole's enthusiasm was just like the teachers and aunts he met outside.

Levi was used to it.

The maid who took care of the children came in, smiled, and nodded.

"Miss, you're back."

Nicole replied, "Chatty just called me

Mommy! When did she learn to say this?"

The maid smiled and said, "She learned it in the past two days. Mr. Sloan told us on the phone before to start teaching Chatty to say this. He wanted to surprise you. I've only ever seen a man wanting his kids to say Daddy first and have never seen such a considerate man like Mr. Sloan."

Nicole paused. It turned out that this was a surprise that Clayton prepared for her.

It was truly the best gift she has ever received.

The maid walked over and looked at Levi with a smile.

"Little Young Master, your mom just called. Can you please answer the phone?"

Levi nodded when he heard that.

Then, Levi let go of Chatty's hand and happily ran out.

The abandoned Chatty watched her cousin leave in disappointment.

Nicole picked her up and sighed.

"Chatty is such a steady and dignified girl. You won't panic easily, and you're really suited to accomplish big things in life!"

The maid was stunned and did not know how to answer.

Clayton was standing by the door at some point.

He could not help but laugh when he heard Nicole's words.

Clayton coughed and eased his emotions.

"I don't know if our daughter will accomplish big things, but I know that my wife does!"

Nicole raised her eyebrows and saw that the girl in her arms was clapping her little hands happily when she saw Clayton.

"Daddy..."

Clayton walked over with a smile and took over his baby daughter.

"Little Chatty, you grew bigger!"

Chatty nodded happily and stretched out her fleshy little arms.

"Strong!"

Nicole watched the two of them sticking together without getting jealous.

Clayton spent more time taking care of Chatty after she was born. Therefore, it was normal that Chatty would be more dependent on Clayton.

Clayton laughed and put Chatty on the floor.

"Let's go. Third Brother is here with Julie. They're clamoring to see you."

He stretched out his hand to hold Nicole's hand and walked out.

Nicole was surprised and delighted. She really missed Julie so much during the time she was abroad.

After taking two steps, Nicole suddenly remembered her daughter.

Chatty's fleshy little arms were swaying as she followed them to walk step by step.

Although she was still not very stable, she could walk independently.

Nicole glanced in admiration.

"She's truly a genius!"

Clayton looked at Nicole and then at Chatty.

"She inherited your high IQ. I heard from Dad that you learned to walk when you were two or three months old..."

Nicole smiled in embarrassment when she

heard this.

"It's just a rumor. You shouldn't believe it."

This was all because Kai accidentally dropped Nicole while he was taking care of her, so he made up this rumor to deceive Floyd.

Floyd actually believed it.

Kai accidentally blurted out the truth once when he was drunk. At that time, Nicole was distressed and beat him up.

The two of them went downstairs without holding Chatty.
