The Gamma’s Heart – Chapter 30

Down the hall stood six men, three of whom were nervous because they’ve yet to enter her room. “Guys she’s gonna love you.” Chase told them encouragingly trying to get them to enter the room.

He had to force both her mates out so that he could sit with her for a moment.

She hasn’t woke up yet but the doctor just said it was a sideffect of hyperthermia, so they weren’t worried.

They were still running tests to make sure everything was alright.

They said that dehydration and malnutrition was a big issue right now but other than that she was just fine.

“Go on before we change our minds and go back in there.” Noah grumbled.

Chase chuckled “we’ll be in the food court” he told the three brothers and pulled his friends down the hall.

Jackson looked at his older and younger brothers. “Ready?” he asked them, Brandon nodded and opened the door stepping in first. Richard following behind him, then Jackson.

“She looks like an angel” Richard said more to himself.

Both Jackson and Brandon nodded in agreement. “I hate to say it Rich, but she looks like you,” Brandon told his younger brother.

Richard smiled, then his smile faded. “that just means she looks like dad. When she realizes that she’s not gonna exactly like it.”

Jackson couldn’t agree more. “Let’s just hope she don’t have his eyes.” he let out a little laugh.

They all sat down and just talked quietly amongst themselves. About 10 minutes of talking a g***n was heard from the bed.

Jackson stopped talking about his love for monkeys and turned to the source.

Clara felt warmth all over. It made her smile and want to go back to sleep, but the bed she was in wasn’t exactly comfortable.

She huffed and heard a few chuckles, which prompted her to open her tired eyes.

She seen 3 men she’d never laid eyes on before and it made her uncomfortable that they were in the room with her while she was sleeping, and she had no clue who they were.

“Who are you? Why are you in here?” she realized she was in the hospital based on all the wires attached to her.

Brandon smiled and said “My name is Brandon, and this is Jackson and Richard.” he pointed to this brothers as he said their names. “We’re from the Black Moon-“

“Black Moon? Hank said he was taking me home, that’s not my home!” Clara quickly sat up upon hearing what he said.

“I want to go home” she told them and quickly began taking the IVs and other wires attached to her off.

“Hey calm down.” Richard quickly got up and went to grab a hold of her hand but she flinched away from him and moved up on the bed more. “Don’t touch me.”

“Jackson go get dad. Tell him to get the others too.” Brandon linked his brother as he moved Richard away from her. “What’s wrong with you? After everything we know you really think she would want to be touched right now.” he whispered harshly to him.

Clara hugged her knees and rocked slowly on the bed. She tried to slow her breathing when she noticed the lights flickering but she didn’t know how to turn it on and off, it just made her panic more.

“I wanna go home, just take me home.” she mumbled to herself as she continued to rock.

Richard looked up when the door opened again. his father, Wyatt, Noah and he even convinced her mom and dad to come into the room with him. He smiled at his dad.

Richard and Brandon moved away from her so that her loved ones could get closer.

The faucets to the sink turned on, the beeping to the machines in the room were all going haywire. “I can’t stop it, make it stop. Clary help me.” Clara begged her wolf who still hasn’t spoke to her, she pulled at her hair to make everything quiet down.

But whatever she tried nothing worked, it only made it worse. She screamed when she felt someone grab her hands, flashbacks flooding her head instantly.

“Stop. Just breathe.” Samuel took in a deep breath then let it out. “It’s okay, Clara.”

“I don’t care what you do to me, I’m not telling you who he is.” Samuel was taken aback a bit. Did she think he was someone else.

Smelling a bit of smoke he looked around, then his eyes landed on the machine next to the bed; she caught it on fire.

“Son put that out please?” he asked Jackson. Sam then turned back to Clara “Hey… Alex, is in the cells he can’t hurt you anymore. Now calm down and breathe.” he did the deep breathing again. “Try it with me hmm?”

As she looked at him he couldn’t help the smile that played on his lips, she had his eyes. Richard was the only one so far out of his kids that got them.

“In. And out, Clara” as she took her breaths he could hear the struggle for her as she did it.

He patted her head then wiped the tears from her face. He’ll talk to the doctors about that.

The moment he moved her line of vision went to her parents. “Daddy?” Clara’s voice cracked upon saying it.

Victor ran over and wrapped his arms around his baby girl. “I’m here princess. Daddy’s right here.” he cooed into her hair as she started crying into his chest.

Abigail walked to the other side, she placed a hand on Richard’s shoulder and smiled at him. She then sat on the bed, and ran a hand through her daughters hair.

As she lifted her head her l*p trembled. “We didn’t get to talk, I’m sorry mom.” Abigail cupped her cheeks, “you have nothing to be sorry about.”

“Jackson go get dad. Tell him to get the others too.” Brandon linked his brother as he moved Richard away from her. “What’s wrong with you? After everything we know you really think she would want to be touched right now.” he whispered harshly to him.

“I haven’t heard from Clary in weeks, I’m worried about her. Ever since Alex gave me that silver and the wolfsbane-“

“he injected you with silver?” Victor, was damn near crying after hearing that. “how are you still alive?”

Clara sucked in a shuddering breath “he said after seening Samuel do it for years he knew it wouldn’t kill me. He only did it because I wouldn’t tell him who my mark belonged to. Said I was his science experiment that he could tourture.”

Samuel was livid, he couldn’t believe he did that. Silver was only used when his wolf was out of control, nothing more.

“The pain knocked me out, that’s when the veil lifted for my powers.” she looked up at her dad then over at her mom.

“But I still don’t know how to control them, otherwise I would’ve escaped before.. before..” tears rolled down her face, and she looked down ashamed.

Clara covered her face with her hands as she cried.

She felt both her parents get up but she didn’t care. The bed dipped again and when hands pulled her into them she cried harder because she felt the sparks. “I’m s-so so so-sorry.” she sobbed.

“We don’t blame you angel,” Noah’s voice spoke first. Oh how she missed the sound of his voice. “we would never blame you..” Wyatt told her soothingly as he held her closer to him.

“Can we perhaps start over?” Richard asked softly. “I’d like to properly introduce myself if that’s okay with you?” Jackson elbowed his younger brother who grunted.

Hearing a light giggle caused Jackson to grin, he seen Noah move up on the bed so she could see the 3 of them better.

Jackson cleared his throat and said “I’m the middle one of us.. better looking one too” that earned him another giggle.

“I’m Jackson, this mop with the curls is Richard and the bozo on the end is Brandon.” Jackson smiled.

Brandon then took a step forward “and we are your brothers.” he seen her eyes darting berween the 3 of them.

She then lifted herself up and turned around completely “Then that makes you Samuel Blackwell, doesn’t it?” she asked him quietly.

Sam looked over at Abigail, who quickly looked away from him, he sighed and then looked back at Clara. “I am.” he spoke loud enough so that she heard him clearly.

What he didn’t expect was for her to faint, as she fell back into Noah.

“Perhaps just too much excitement for one day?” Jackson said looking over at his sister.

“Yeah probably.” Noah mumbled as he moved her hair from her face.
