The Gamma’s Heart – Chapter 59

“When will she wake up doc?” Wyatt asked rocking the infant in his arms. He tried giving her to his mother but she didn’t want to go to her.

“That depends on her, as I said she’s resting… seems she hasn’t had a lot of that for quite some time.” John told him with a sigh.

He looked back over at her and ran his hand through his grey hair. “Let me know if she does wake up”

Wyatt nodded at him with a sad smile, and walked back over to his chair. Noah’s dad, his mother and Samuel had announced to the entire pack what was going on with her.

They wanted everyone to know just in case they weren’t around and something happened, they could call one of her friends or a family member.

When they told them about her wolf everyone was in tears according to his mother. But they all said she would still be their Luna no matter who or what she was.

It made Noah and Wyatt proud to know that each and every pack member had her back.

Because when she was going through the worst kind of pain, she went out and tried to avenge her fallen pack members on her own, not for her but for them, but got caught in the crossfire because of it.

“Wyatt..?”

His head turned at her groggy voice, but her eyes weren’t her own.

It was Clary.

Axel stirred in his head coming forward a bit to sit with him because she was out. “Hi Clary, I’ve missed you sweetheart!”

She smiled tiredly at him and looked around for Noah. “Where’s Noah?” Clary asked him softly.

“Went to go grab some more things from the house for us and the baby. I can ask him to get you a few things, but he was probably going to anyways.” Wyatt explained.

He moved a little closer to the bed careful not to wake up the baby he was holding. Noah was grabbing her playpen for her to sleep in tonight and a blow up mattress for them to lay on.

“Why are you awake and not Clara? Is she okay?” Wyatt asked worried.

“I don’t know why. I was wondering the samething myself.” she reached out and grabbed the baby’s hand and she stirred a bit.

“But I can feel her, it’s like she is with me but isn’t with me at the same time.” she said with a confused look on her face.

“It’s similar to when I go and visit The Moon Goddess. But, Clara is a witch and otherwise human she shouldn’t be able to that. I’d get it if The Covenant summoned her to visit other witches that had passed or to teach her new spells, but not this..”

Wyatt sat there a little baffled at what Clary said.

He took in everything she told him, if Clara really is really in The Spirit Realm and with The Moon Goddess should he not be worried about her future?

Or should he be?

Looking up at the moon she felt peace and serenity surround her. She didn’t know where she was nor did she care how she got here.

There wasn’t any pain here and she felt safe and love all around her here as she walked through the field of different flowers.

Clara stopped when she heard a branch snap, turning she seen three pairs of glowing eyes.

She felt no danger coming from them, the only source of light was the Moon and it was bright enough to show them if they stepped out from where they were.

One walked out and my hand went to my chest.

This has to be a dream.

Where am I?

“Vera?”

The moment I said her name she bolted towards me and didn’t stop until she trampled me to the forest floor.

Her dark brown fur and white patches glowing in the moonlight, she licked my face and I giggled tears forming in my eyes just seeing her again.

Why and how am I seeing her?

After licking my face to death she let me sit up, and when I did I hugged her huge neck tightly. “I’ve missed you so much!”

Looking over as I hugged my mother’s wolf I seen my dad’s dark grey wolf step out and a tear fell down my cheek.

But when I seen Noah’s mother beautiful white and grey wolf step out beside him a sob left me.

How am I seeing them?

Why am I seeing them?

Is this a new power?

They both came over and I buried my face in my dad’s wolf’s fur as I held him tightly.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t save you guys” I cried.

I felt a nudge on my shoulder and I looked over to see my Luna. I don’t care if I am the Luna now, she will always be my Luna.

“They are doing…as good as can be expected, Reika” I answered her unasked question.

A warm and serene light appeared in front of us and it made the three wolves move behind me and stand with lowered heads.

I stood up confused as a woman stepped through the light. Her beauty was just, well more beautiful than anything I have ever seen before.

She wore a white dress that went to the ground, she was bare foot but seemed to not mind a bit.

Her hair was blonde and long, it went past her waist. Her eyes were as bright as the sky had it been daylight.

“Rise my loves, you were simply here to see a loved one. You have done nothing wrong.” her voice was so soft and it made me relax just listening to her speak.

“Clara, sweetie I have called you here to tell you something important…”

“Who are you?” I asked her still confused, I looked down when I felt a wolf step next to me.

My dad’s wolf Rocky was huge beside me, he was nearly up to my chest. Kane and Axel were a bit bigger than him though.

I could feel his worry, so I placed my hand on his head and rubbed it gently to try and ease his worries.

“My name is Selene… and to be clear. I am not drinking moonshine as I plan the things I do.” her eyes narrowed at me playfully.

My cheeks heated up as I recalled telling Wyatt and Noah that.

“Why am I here?” I asked her

Vera stepped up on the other side of me while Rieka went and laid in front of me.

Selene smiled at them then looked at me once again. “It’s about you, as you are aware this curse that has been put on you is effectively killing you, yes?”

Hearing the wolves whine upon hearing her saying that so bluntly. She must have kept them in the dark about me I suppose, but I did too as to not worry anybody.

When we die, our wolves can be reborn if they were a good soul, and eventually evolve in rank as they are reborn in each life.

Like going from being born a omega in one life and then being born a Warrior or a Gamma the next.

But before that, the wolf keeps the memories of the life they had in The Spirit Realm. They can ask The Moon Goddess how their loved ones are until they see them again or are reborn.

It’s really beautiful.

“Yes ma’am. I’m supposed to have 2-3 months before things get-“

“No it’s more like a month now sweetheart.” she interrupted me, hearing what she said made my eyes widen, but she continued.

“Unfortunately, Amara, she has the help of my twin brother Sebastian. He is The Master of Dark Magic, Clara, he is the one that gave you the power to bring Noah back to life!” she explained

“But I didn’t even realize I did that. I left the pack for a month, after the attack. I didn’t replace out he was alive, until I came back a week ago.” I told her, and she just smiled nodding her head.

“The curse she put on you sweetheart, will kill your wolf. But..” Selene stopped locking her eyes with me.

“But what?”

“You’ll replace out soon,” was all she said.

The Moon Goddess was really not going to tell me?

“Clara your wolf is the first Luna ever made same goes for Axel and Kane they were twin Alpha’s in their first life, that is why I paired you three together.” she smiled.

“And you are the only person that was worthy enough to be Clary’s other half, she has never tempted the dark parts of the power that your father told you about, she is strong.” she smiled at me knowing she was telling me the everything I already knew about Clary.

“So when I tell you to fight, listen okay?”

I was still so confused, but I nodded my head anyways. She walked over as Reika moved aside, she took my hands in hers and a warm glow spread over me from her touch and I was instantly at peace.

“You are very brave for such a young Luna, Clara.” she place her forehead against mine and I closed my eyes.

“Your dad was right when he said that you don’t even realize how strong you really are.” Selene then kissed the crown on my head and I felt like I was being whisked away.

I then heard beeping around me, when I opened my eyes I seen nothing but white all around me.

I was in the hospital, but why?

I tried to sit up but instantly winced as a sudden pain hit me in my side and my hand flew to it, like that would make it stop hurting.

The beeping got louder and faster, making whoever was asleep beside me wake up frantically.

“Sunshine?” It was Brandon.

Looking over at him his wide grey eyes glazed over suddenly, when they cleared his eyes softened and he sat next to me on the bed.

“Why am I here?” I remembered being in my room with Samuel and those three other witches, then there was a crap ton of pain involved, and my chest hurt. God did it really hurt.

“You have been here for a week now. You had a heart attack.” Brandon told her in a soft tone, she simply nodded her head and rested her head back on the pillow.

Clary has been the one we have been seeing for the past week. And to see it was Clara this time shocked me.

Landon and Marco thought they did something wrong with their spell, Clary said that they didn’t and that she could still feel my sister with her.

Clara looked at the door when it opened.

In walked both Noah and Wyatt with Bailey who was fussing. She put her arms out for Noah to hand her over and he walked over and happily gave her to her.

Bailey instantly calmed down the moment she realized she was in her mothers embrace. “It’s okay peanut, mama is here.”

“Angel?” Noah said just as soft as her brother did, making her look up at him.

He smiled “Clara, where were you? Clary, said she felt you but it seemed like you were in the Spirit Realm.”

She smiled at him nodding her head “That’s because I was,” she stated and looked back down at Bailey. “Selene pulled me there to warn me about, Amara.”

She looked back up to see their worried faces, they waited for her to continue, but she wasn’t sure if she should.

“I seen your mom’s wolf, Noah.”

His breathing hitched a bit hearing what she said. “I also saw my parents wolves.” she whispered.

“Selene, told me to fight, and that I would know why I had to soon!” Clara told them but didn’t explain the severity of the situation.

She knew keeping this secret wasn’t a good thing but they were already worried about her.

Clara couldn’t be babysat 24/7

Hopefully everything will go in their favor and not Amara and Sebastian’s. She didn’t want to die and leave her daughter without a mother. She already knows how that feels.

Imagine growing up without one?

She was greatful Clary didn’t know about all of this, or she would tell their wolves.
