Even as everyone turned to Jade, she kept ranting, "Does Helen have proof that Luna called her and lured her to a trap?! Are you all going to believe her just because she said it?! For all we know, Frank

But even as she ranted, Gable was scowling on his knees.

He certainly had no idea when he asked Jade about Frank, all Jade had to say about him was 'lowlife ex-husband'.

It was why when he was actually up against Frank, he treated Frank with insignificance.

Unbeknownst to him, 'lowlife ex-husband' was just Jade's opinion of Frank, and he was not a lowlife.

His spite flared even as Jade continued ranting, looking around at everyone. "What are Frank and Helen to us?! Nobodies-that's what they are! Even if we accept Helen back into our family, she isn't really family, so how trustworthy can their words be?! Considering that she's drooling over becoming the next head of the Lane family, we should really be thinking more about this!"

That was when Gavin quietly strode up to her, scowling as he slapped Jade twice across the face.

That was when Fleur strode forward. "I think Jade speaks reason here."

At the same time, she shot a glare of contempt at Frank and Helen.

She never could stand those two and was not about to let up a chance to bring them down a peg!

Still, she was inwardly bemoaning Clark and Gable's incompetence-how could they fail to get rid of those two?

However, Helen came forward just then as well. "So does that mean no one believes me?"

Jade was at once uncomfortable when she saw Helen's confidence. She promptly ran to the unconscious Luna, smacking her as hard as she could until she woke up.

"Mom..." Luna was sobbing as soon as she saw her mother.

"It's alright, Mommy's here." Jade held her firmly in her arms.

As she did, Luna's eyes widened as Jade whispered something into her ear.

Then, pulling Luna to stand in front of everyone, Jade shouted loudly, "Go on, Luna! Tell everyone the truth. Did you call Helen and try to kill her with Uncle Clark and Uncle Gable?"

"It's..."

As everyone turned to Luna, Luna was glancing at Helen and an impassive Frank, her eyes flashing viciously as she snapped, "It's a lie! The whole thing was staged by Helen and Frank. They lured us to that place, and then threatened us with violence!"

Once she was finished, she buried her head in Jade's arms, afraid to look Frank in the eye.
