After Frank swiped the room card and opened the door, he was left stunned to replace that it was a room with a single deluxe bed.

He turned stiffly toward Helen, who shrugged as she strode inside. "Someone booked the presidential suite, so I had to make do with a deluxe twin. Don't worry, the hotel's conditions are..."

She was stunned when she saw that there was only one bed in the large room too.

"Heh. Well..." Frank scratched his head and chuckled awkwardly.

Helen could see something in his smile that left her blushing, and she groaned. "This shouldn't be... I remembered telling Cindy to get a twin bed room..."

She stored out and asked one of the attendants outside, who apologized. "Sorry, Ms. Lane, but we didn't have the time to inform you earlier. You were previously assigned to Room 506, a deluxe twin room. However, there was a sudden government inspection, and we had to re-assign you. Your secretary agreed to it, so..."

Helen flushed even as she returned inside, biting her lip awkwardly while sliding a glance at Frank, who was pretending to read a newspaper.

Their eyes met, and both quickly turned away.

"Well, I've been busy," she grumbled exasperatedly, rubbing between her brows. "There's so much to sort out since morning, so I forgot. I gave Cindy express instructions, but she couldn't even do one thing... She's just so unreliable."

Despite her complaining, anyone looking closely might see a hint of expectation in her eyes.

Frank cleared his throat and put down his newspaper. "Well... I'll just get another room."

He moved toward the door, but Helen suddenly caught his wrist, leaving him turning around in confusion. "Oh, wait..." Helen was certainly embarrassed with what she did, but her body moved before she knew it.

After hesitating for a while, she smiled awkwardly. "I've already asked, but they're fully booked."

"Fully booked?" Frank exclaimed in surprise, and wrinkled his brow. "Then I'll go to another hotel..."

"No!" Helen sprang to her feet and realized she had just lost composure after seeing Frank's eyes widen in surprise. "Y-You're my personal bodyguard... If someone attacks me while you're away, that's negligence! I'll deduct your salary!"

"Pfft..." Frank snickered at her unreasonable excuse.

"Why are you laughing? Am I wrong?!" Helen snapped, more a panicked girl just then than the usual ice queen girlboss.

"Actually, you're right." Frank rubbed his chin and chuckled. "Though I'd rather you speak from the heart."

"What are you talking about?" Helen flinched, staring at him in surprise.
