Finally, Kallum yielded to Helen.

While Gene's investment was a huge factor in her triumph, Helen understood that Frank was the reason she could take over as Lanecorp's board chairwoman easily and resolve all the difficulties they faced. Frank, however, did not linger at Lanecorp.

Relieved to hear that Kallum had given up, he promptly left, jumping into his car and driving straight to Morhen.

Susan Redford, Vicky's mother, was on the verge of tears.

"Frank... Vicky didn't let me tell you because it's... complicated. Walter's been poisoned and remains unconscious, and we can't question him even if we wanted to. And the Martial Alliance keeps hounding us to hand him over... The Turnbulls are going to cave soon..."

"Calm down, Mrs. Turnbull," Frank said calmly, holding the steering wheel in one hand and his phone in the other. "Where's Vicky? She's in Morhen now, isn't she?"

"She..."

Susan was hesitant and choking with tears. "She told me not to tell... Just come to Turnbull Estate, Frank. Let's talk face to face."

"Okay!" Frank said, putting down his phone and jamming his foot on the gas pedal.

His Maybach roared as it sped down the highway.

When Frank arrived at Turnbull Estate in Morhen, the front gates were surrounded by members of the Martial Alliance.

A beautiful figure stood amongst them, and it was none other than Silverbell, the current chief of the Martial Alliance.

She appeared hesitant, even as two of the Martial Alliance's elders pestered her.

"What are you waiting for, Lady Silverbell? Let's just get inside and take the perp!"

"Exactly! It'd be bad if this drags out and the mayor starts asking questions..."

Silverbell bit her lip but never caved to their pressure, as if waiting.

On the other hand, Frank quickly stopped his Maybach outside the gates. Not speaking even as he alighted, he strode straight toward Turnbull Estate. "Wait, who are you?!"

"Hold it! You're not allowed in here!"

All the members of the Martial Alliance promptly strode up to stop Frank when they saw him attempting to get past the barricade.

"Donn..." Silverbell murmured when she saw Frank but quickly caught herself. "Frank Lawrence..."

Frank's heart skipped a beat when he heard her voice.

He turned to replace her dressed in white silk even as she carried a sword, looking like a picturesque goddess.

"What? Do you know this man, Lady Silverbell?"

Silverbell nodded silently at the elder's question.

Frank, however, said nothing to her.

Instead, he turned back toward the members of the Martial Alliance, his expression cool as he barked, "Let me pass!"

"Let him pass," Silverbell spoke clearly from a distance too.

"What? But Lady Silverbell-"

"No buts. Listen to me-let him pass!"

As the two members of the Martial Alliance reluctantly cleared a path, Frank did not hesitate to dash inside.

Still, he paused midway and turned, nodding ever so slightly at the troubled pair of eyes still staring at him before continuing toward Turnbull Hall.
