Chapter 523 Elias Winters, Don't Touch Me!

In the hospital room, Elias hadn't taken a single sip of the medicinal soup in the thermos flask. He fixed his gaze on the door, eagerly awaiting Amanda's arrival.

However, as time passed without any sign of her, he grew increasingly doubtful if she would actually come.

Just as he was about to make another phone call, a knock on the door suddenly interrupted

him.

A glimmer of hope flickered in Elias' dark eyes as he looked up at the person outside and. said, "Come in."

True to his expectations, Amanda entered the hospital room with an expressionless face.

A hint of delight appeared on Elias' pale, handsome face. "Honey, you're here."

Reluctantly, Amanda approached the bedside and noticed the untouched thermos on the side table. She opened it and saw that nothing had been touched.

An unhappy frown creased her forehead. "Why didn't you drink this soup? I have been simmering it in the kitchen for hours. You're wasting my effort."

"If you had personally cooked it, I would have savored every drop," Elias quickly comforted.

"Regardless of whether you want to drink it or not, just tell me. What do you want to say?" Amanda was about to sit down, but Elias suddenly embraced her.

He held her tightly. "Are you angry with me?"

"Elias! Let go of me. We are in a hospital now. Don't act recklessly. What if the doctors or nurses walk in later?" She struggled to break free, but his grip only tightened. "Even if they see, what's the harm? Can't I embrace my own wife? Besides, they will knock before entering."

Amanda's futile struggles forced her to give up. She turned her head away unhappily. "What do you want to say?"

"Honey, look at me."

Elias cupped her face in his hands, making her meet his gaze directly, and then he spoke slowly with utmost sincerity, "Honey, I solemnly assure you that I have no connection with that woman whatsoever. I fainted last night, and she kindly called 911 for me and brought me to the hospital. That's all."

Elias thought he had explained it enough, which was the truth.

However, Amanda responded with a cold, mocking laugh, making him uneasy.

"What are you laughing at? Are you doubting my words?"

"I'm not doubting. I suppose your account is accurate. But I want to ask you one thing. Is she the one whom you saved at the banquet last night?"

Elias fell silent at the mention of these words, and his silence served as an implicit confirmation.

Upon observing his silence, Amanda laughed even more audaciously. "As expected, my guess. was right. You have good taste, Elias. She is beautiful, with an exquisite figure and a refined temperament. She must come from a wealthy background, which matches yours quite well."

Her seemingly serious and calm evaluation infuriated Elias.

He firmly held her chin. "Amanda! Stop it! What does her beauty have to do with me? I am already a married man. What more could I be with her? You underestimate me! Do you think I'd be unfaithful and disloyal in our marriage?"

Amanda couldn't help but want to laugh even more upon witnessing his anger. "I was just wondering why, out of all the mistreated women in this world, you happened to save her? Is it fate?" "Amanda!!" At this point, Elias wished he could rip her clothes off and make her beg for mercy beneath him, but this was a hospital.

"Why are you so furious? Is it because I hit the nail on the head? That woman is indeed stunning, and it's only natural if you are attracted to her. I can understand. You don't have to act so innocent. After all, you haven't done anything to betray me." Her casual tone seemed to imply that even if he hadn't betrayed her yet, he eventually would.

Elias tensed up, staring at the delicate face before him, and suddenly, he approached to kiss her passionately, disregarding her consent. Amanda's eyes widened in an instant.

She hadn't expected this man to dare to engage in such behavior in a hospital room.

"Ugh! Elias! Have you lost your mind... Mmm!"

He covered her mouth, not allowing her to utter another word, wholly absorbed in this retaliatory, passionate kiss.

It was unclear how much time had passed, but Amanda began to feel suffocated. Finally, Elias

decided to release her.

Amanda gasped for breath, her face flushed, as she looked at him and rebuked, "You're insane!"

She attempted to get up and leave, but unexpectedly, Elias forcefully pulled her back, flipped her over, and pinned her down. "If you say anything else that angers me, I will make love. with you right here. Let's see if I dare or not."

Amanda dared not move or protest further because she knew this man could do anything. She turned away and warned, "I warn you not to do anything reckless. You have no shame, but I still do."

"Since you understand the fact, why did you provoke my anger? You accused me event though I didn't mean it that way."

"Excuse me, I accused you? Didn't you play the hero and rescue the damsel in distress last night? Where did I accuse you?"

As soon as Amanda finished speaking, the man kissed her again, even more passionately. "Your mouth isn't suited for talking. You only know how to provoke me. Your lips are only for kissing from now on."

"Mmm... Mmm!"

Amanda couldn't utter another word as Elias kissed her forcefully for another five minutes.

He pressed his forehead against hers, his voice hoarse and deep. "Amanda, I am seriously. telling you once again. Yes, I saved her last night, but it has nothing to do with her appearance. It's simply because Simon was the one who bullied her. However, since you're this enraged, I promise I won't intervene in these matters anymore."

"Why not? Why won't you intervene? In situations like this, you should step in and help. Otherwise, countless innocent women will suffer. Imagine the psychological trauma they would endure! This isn't being nosy; this is saving lives and preventing tragedy!" Amanda was angry that he had gotten involved with a beautiful woman, but to be honest, in situations like this, one couldn't just turn a blind eye.

The man chuckled, lowered his head, and lightly kissed her forehead. "Then, why are you so furious? If you believe I did the right thing, why are you so mad? Is it because that woman is more attractive than you, and you feel threatened?"

Men will always be men, talking without thinking straight. Thus, this statement successfully provoked Amanda once again.

She forcefully pushed the man away from her. "More attractive than me? Hah! So, you finally admit it! You believe that woman is more attractive than me, so you showed sympathy and

helped her. If that woman were slightly less attractive, would you have ignored her?"

At that moment, Elias deeply regretted his words and wanted to slap himself. Why did he have to say something like that? He honestly didn't expect her reaction to being so intense. "Get away! I don't want to see you!"

"Amanda, that's not what I meant. How could that woman be more beautiful than you..."

"Elias Winters, don't touch me! Go away!"
