<< Wait, so Sebastian was only sixteen when he started Kings? >> I asked in disbelief. «Yeah, » Callum nodded.
I was in a state of shock, having trouble believing that Sebastian had started a gang so dangerous when I was only twelve years old.
It only dawned on my then, that I could actually remember when Kings started. My body tensed as memories of my dad filled my head. I remembered how worried he was, and how desperately he tried to make sure no wars were started over territories.
That was how Kings became the number one gang. They were fierce, unforgiving, and cruel, and easily took over most of London, leaving us number two.
Despite the flood of questions that wanted to pour out of my mouth, I silently climbed out of the car. We were parked in front of a large, brick building. There wasn't much around it, so I was able to avoid all the terrified stares as I walked in with Callum.
The gym was nearly empty, and the few guys in there barely paid us any attention. We walked into a secluded room that had multiple weight machines, punching bags, and a boxing ring.
<< Today we'll just work in the ring. » Callum told me, as he pulled off his shirt.
Yes, in case you were wondering, he had a drool worthy body.
<< Is that the Kings symbol ? » I asked, moving forwards in order to see it better.
<< Yeah, we all have it. >> Callum said, watching as my eyes studied the simple, small crown tattoo that inked his skin.
<< I like it. >> I stated, my eyes meeting his.
Now, Callum was without a doubt, a very attractive young man. Being twenty-two, a year older than Sebastian, he also had a very well known reputation around London.
To add on with the insiders he had on the police force, he was a very violent person, known for taking out lower rank gangs for the fun of it. In the beginning, people were actually surprised that he was a part of a gang, instead of leading one. But, after London learned of Sebastian King, no one questioned his reasons. Curiosity killed the cat.
<< How come you joined Kings? Why wouldn't you just start your own gang? » I asked, entering the ring behind him.
He turned towards me, a small smile appearing. << Ah, the questions many people wish to ask, yet none ever do. >>
I shrugged, waiting for him to continue.
<< Well, Sebastian and I have been friends for a while, but not when he started Kings. No, when he started Kings, I was just some low life who was in way over his head. >> Callum shook his head slightly, probably thinking about his past. << One day when I was high as hell, I ran into a couple guys. They were nothing but trouble, and I decided to start a fight, not caring that I was outnumbered. These guys were beating the crap out of me, when Sebastian came out of nowhere, and told them to get the hell out of there if they knew what was best. >>
I thought back to the time when Sebastian came to my rescue, when I was in a similar situation as Callum had been.
Does he just lurk in the shadows?
<< Why would he do that? >> I questioned, not understanding why Sebastian would step in.
Callum broke out into a grin, his eyes distant. << Sebastian had apparently been keeping tabs on me, and decided he wanted someone like me in his gang. Which, at that time, was only a year old. >>
<< So you joined... >> I finished, stating the obvious.
<< Course I did, I would have been absolutely crazy not to. » Callum said, shrugging.
I nodded, my mind elsewhere.
<< Let's start training, shall we? » Callum said, breaking me away from my cluttered thoughts.
<< What should we start with ? >> I asked after stretching a bit.
Callum seemed to think about it, before he finally spoke. << Anything. Show me what you've got, Summers. >>

My eyes lit up and my lips curved into a natural smirk.
<< Get ready, Bell. >> I taunted. << I'm about to kick your ass. >>
And with that said; I lunged at him.
+++++
Our uneven, heavy breathing was the only thing that filled the silent room in the gym. Other than that was the light patter of our footsteps dancing across the mat. Callum had been careful with my hurt wrist, and I knew he was holding himself back, but only by a little bit.
<< You've got skill, » he breathed out; sweat dripping down his face and toned torso.
My hair stuck to the back of my neck, and my muscles ached with every movement I made, but I wasn't about to give up now.
<< Hopefully I do,>> I said, expertly avoiding a jab from Callum. << I've been training since I was twelve. >>
That seemed to surprise Callum, and he lowered his guard, giving me the perfect opportunity to attack.
Within seconds, I had him pinned to the mat, our breathing heavier now, the exhaustion evident.
<< Alright, alright Summers, » he surrendered.
Grinning, I rolled off of him, by back hitting the mat.
<< Training since you were twelve, huh? >> Callum repeated, still in a state of shock. << How old are you now? >>
<< Seventeen. » My answer was always short, to the point, and unwilling to reveal anything else.
As if he read my mind, Callum spoke. << You know, you're a very enigmatic person, Evelyn Summers. >>
I smirked, and pushed myself up, standing. << I get that a lot. >>
The car ride back was filled with endless chatter, about everything really. We argued over the radio station, and even got into a few petty physical fights.
When we returned, Sebastian and Mason seemed to be waiting for us.
<< Finally, » Sebastian muttered, checking his watch.
I rolled my eyes at the action. Sebastian King sure could be dramatic, and very observant too, apparently.
<< Did you just roll your eyes at me ? » He asked, cocking his brow.
<< Uh... yeah? >>
Mason smiled at my response, while Callum just shook his head, hiding his amused expression.
<< I don't have time for this, >> Sebastian snapped, << Just go take a shower. >>
Frowning at him, I reluctantly obeyed. It was clear that Sebastian was no longer in a good mood anymore, if you would consider his behavior this morning a result of a good mood. I guess I wasn't that surprised though. It was all a part of the pattern, really.
