The Secrets of the Panther -
Chapter 106
AMIR
The trek to the pack was not long, but I knew it would be hard with over five thousand wolves and vampires. They had a common goal, which was to kill the pack.
Rogues only agreed as they hated the pack; many were forced out because they were unsuitable for pack life. Well, most of them have killed for their gain, whether for power or even for a bit of ass.
Nell and I didn’t care. We needed everyone; even using Elder Johnson was all our doing. Many thought it was Helga’s doing, but Nell kept to the sidelines, doing more dangerous stuff. She was my one and only mate, well, the one I trusted. Helga was a means to an end. She was more powerful than Nell, and we needed her, even if it meant I had to use a potion to make her think we were mates. The potion I took made me feel everything, even when they killed her.
As we walk through the forest, I glance towards the young wolf.
Drake, I don’t trust him. He keeps his eyes forward, never looking at any of us. Many of the followers are talking amongst themselves just to pass the time, but Drake doesn’t. He just walks and doesn’t interact with anyone.
I think he will change sides, especially knowing his mate is in the pack we plan to rage a war against and kill every person there.
I would love to kill him and her. I did not mean for them to be part of this. Drake was supposed to die at the hands of his father, but that pathetic Elder changed the course of action by letting him live.
Making me change his brother was a low blow even for me, but when he was sired to me. I had no choice to do what that little shit wanted, even if it meant hurting everyone in my path.
I glance up and notice Elder Johnson waiting for me.
The mark on his face is black, and it looks sore, which only shows that we are closer to the panther.
As I step closer to him, he joins me as we walk together.
“I don’t trust him,” he says with a snarl, staring at Drake. I smirk. I can’t help but think it was all his fault for bringing him into all this.
“Well, you wanted him here,” I said to him with slight irritation.
“I know, but I didn’t think you would give him back his mate. I was going to kill her,” he says with a hint of a smirk. “I would have made him suffer before all this; he would have done everything for us. I mean, a wolf who loses his mate turns mad; that’s what happened with his father when his mother died.”
I stare ahead. Elder Johnson has been all talk lately and getting on my nerves. He was easy to manipulate because he believed that every supernatural being had to be mated to their own kind, mainly wolves. When he told me about the panther being mates with a pack member here, I was intrigued, but I knew she was Clara’s double when I saw her face. That meant her power had surfaced once again.
Nell killed Clara and had her power to kill anyone who stood against us. But as soon as the power wore away, so did our legacy of us. We wanted to be more powerful.
Using the Elder was a smart move for us. He is useless now, and I know full well that panther will kill him. The mark states otherwise, but I believe we will be the ones on top, especially when we kill that panther and have her daughter.
Having her daughter here with us, we can train her to become a fighter. She will be a killing machine. We would mold her to what we want. Killing her mother would be the main priority.
“Shall we locate the children?” he asks, pulling me from my thoughts.
Ah, the children, he means the young panther and also the hybrid child.
I smirk, “Once we get there, I will take a few people towards where she is located and grab them,” I say, but I glance back at him and wonder. “Where will you be?”
The thought accrued to me that this pathetic old man might make a run for it, but something tells me I thought wrong as I look at him. His eyes are full of anger. “I will kill that pathetic asshole who killed my daughter and their children,” he says. He would kill his own family for vengeance.
“They disrespected me; they disrespect everything that means to be a wolf,” he says with a growl.
This man has issues, but this logic is unknown to me as I have only one son, who, thank god, is safe and away from all this.
“You would kill your family,” I ask him, but a growl escapes his mouth as he glances back at me. “They were never family. Graham changed after that pathetic panther died, and his children followed suit,” he says.
We walk a few more steps and are at the territory’s borderline.
I breathe in the air as I look around; the smell of wolves fills every being inside me. But I can’t help but smirk as I can smell fear.
After a few seconds, a large alarm rings throughout the pack.
They knew we were coming as I saw people lining up outside the pack house, all in human and wolf forms.
I glance around, trying to replace the young wolf.
I see him running in a completely different direction towards the pack.
Traitor, he switched sides.
I hiss, “I’m going to kill him!” I shout.
Nell glances to where Drake was running in. “You kill that bastard wolf,” she says, but she makes me turn to her.
I slam my mouth down on her lips as I kiss her hard.
I pull back with a smirk, “Today we kill everyone and become powerful once again, and tonight,” I say as I pull her closer to me. I place my mouth to her ear, feeling her shudder under my touch. “I will fuck you all night long.” She moans and moves my face to hers; she slams her mouth back on mine once more. She pulls back and licks her lips. “I will see you soon, my mate,” she says.
I turn and point to six vampires to follow me as we head towards where the young wolf ran off.
The war was starting as Nell made her voice heard, “TIME TO KILL EVERYONE, NO SURVIOURS,” she yells.
I smirk, and in the direction I need to head.
All seven of us ran, but the young wolf was long gone. He must have shifted into his wolf.
I was about to head towards the fight when I caught something out of the corner of my eye, the dark hair, little beauty, the little panther we want.
She was in the arms of a wolf, heading towards the pack house. But then I noticed the hybrid. He was running with a woman, and they were together.
I smirk. “Follow me,” I say to the vamps who were with me.
We ran straight to them and surrounded them quickly.
“Well, well, what do we have here?” I say as we circle them.
The wolf holding the little panther growls but places her behind him. “Get the fuck away from us,” he says with a growl.
I smirk; I enjoy playing with my food.
I walk closer, but the hybrid steps in front of the woman and man, holding the young panther’s hand behind his back.
This is interesting to witness. He likes her or cares for her, at least.
“Come, children, we don’t want to hurt you,” I say as I glance at them.
The other vamps circle and get into formation, ready to kill.
I can feel my fangs coming through, but my eyes stay focused on the children. I look to the vampires, who nod, letting me know they are ready to take out the adults.
I nod, and with one swift motion, they attack.
The man rips out two hearts of two vampires, but the woman tries to run with the children. But I use my speed and grab her neck, making the young panther scream loud.
I smirk, “I like when my food plays with me,” I say as I pull the woman close and sink my teeth into her neck.
The woman screams, but it’s the man’s voice I hear. “NO KAT,” he yells.
I drink her blood, and I soon realize that she’s a panther as their blood is much richer than a wolf’s.
After a few seconds, I lose my grip on my food and let her go. Her body falls to the floor. I glance up and stare at the man who the two vampires were holding in place on his knees.
I look towards the man with a smirk, “I just ate her, now for you,” I say.
I nod towards the vampires, who sink their teeth into his neck.
I looked towards the children, but they were nowhere to be seen, but I stared out.
One panther down, two more to go, I thought to myself.
I notice something running in the distance, which makes me smirk. The children.
I look over my shoulder as the man drops to the floor. “Go back to the fight. I will get the children,” I shout.
Without a word, they leave and I use my speed. I catch up to them, grabbing them both by the necks. “Got you,” I say with a smile.
They both scream as I head toward the fighting, ensuring both children are placed under each arm.
I stopped at the edge of the forest and looked out at the pack grounds. I noticed it was covered in dead wolves and vampire bodies, but I could see my mate, using her blade skillfully, taking out every wolf possible that came at her.
I walked with the children, ensuring I had a good grip on them.
Vampires spot me and take down whoever comes my way, but the little panther brat wiggles in my arm. But her screams are heard and very loud.
“DADDY,” she screams.
I turn to look and notice the young wolf that I was supposed to kill and the young alpha, but it’s the glowing green eyes that have my attention.
The panther herself stares at me; anger and rage fill her.
I can feel her power from here, which is unheard of.
“DADDY,” screams the young panther again.
I need to get closer to my mate; she will protect us.
I ran towards Nell, but I glanced where I saw all three of them. But I could only see the two young wolves had shifted into their wolves. But no panther, which was disturbing.
Both wolves were black and huge and heading straight for me.
