Chapter 107

BLAKE

The smell of the rogues and vampires hit me hard as Izzy and I make our way to the front of the pack house.

All pack members were fighting with wolves and vampires coming at them. It looks like a scene from a horror movie. Everywhere was blood and screaming from people trying to get to safety.

I stare head as I see a woman with a blade skimming over some wolves from the pack fighting her. She was handy with the blade, but I knew instantly that she was the witch. Her scent was powerful, but also, it was the crazy look in her eyes that made me think it was her.

“Blake, we need to get to Allie and Archer,” Izzy says as she scans over the pack grounds. But her eyes glow green instantly as she stares out as she stops on a particular spot.

I looked to where she was looking; there, running towards the side, was Elder Johnson. Elder Johnson looked like he was trying to get to safety, away from the war.

I glance around and notice that the council members that we took in were fighting alongside us. Some were helping ones who needed the help, but we managed even though it looked like they outnumbered us.

I knew Izzy would take the vampires and rogues out when we were ready, but I needed her to be by my side. I needed her to be okay.

We planned to do this all together.

Izzy moves from where we were standing and runs towards Elder Johnson. But a vampire comes towards her, but before I could say anything. Izzy shifts into Puna, and I have never seen a cat take down a complete vampire and rip its throat.

Axel was at the ready, wanting to join in the fight. But I stopped as a black wolf came towards me, Drake. But six vampires and two rogues were chasing him out of the forest.

“Let’s do this,” I say to Axel.

Axel takes over and shifts into his proper form. We run straight towards Drake, and his wolf recognizes us and ducks. We use his back as a springboard and jump straight into the vampires. Axel rips the first vampire’s throat and tears into another two, but one jumps on us and bites down on our shoulder.

Axel growls and thrushes hard; the vampire loses its grip on us and falls to the ground. I can hear tearing behind me, but Axel is playing stare down the vampire.

“STOP TOYING WITH IT!” I shout at him.

Axel roars and tackles the vampire to the ground, biting down on his neck. Axel shakes violently as he bites down harder. His head comes off and rolls away from us with one more snap.

Blood drips from Axel’s mouth as he stares at the rogues with a death wish.

I spot Drake growling. His wolf looks towards Axel and nods, and I can’t help but smirk.

Axel and Drake’s wolf like to play, but they love to rip them apart; it was their game.

Axel charges straight towards one as the other doesn’t see Drake’s wolf coming up behind him as he is more focused on me. We both take them out entirely and shred them apart.

I stare at Axel, who lets me take control. We shift back into my human form.

Drake does the same and smirks at me. “Just like old times,” he says.

“You traitorous bastard,” shouts someone from the side.

I glance up and growl loud as Drake looks to see who it was and instantly growls.

Elder Johnson.

“I’m going to kill you,” Drake shouts as he steps forward.

The Elder smirks. “I like to see you try,” he says. But a scent wafts from behind him, which sends a shiver down my spine. I smirk and shake my head towards Drake. He sniffs the air and has the same smirk on his face as I do.

The Elder stares at both of us and looks confused. “I’m going to enjoy this,” he says.

“Not as much as I am,” says the soft but angry voice behind the Elder.

The Elder’s face goes pale color at the sound of the voice as he slowly turns around, and there right behind him was my mate.

I could feel the anger through the bond, but her power was still intact, but it was there. Brewing for something, something big, was going to come.

Izzy had blood everywhere on her body.

“You won’t be able to kill me,” says Elder Johnson, who sounds confident about what he was saying.

I smirk. I knew what was coming as Axel was showing me an image that Puna was planning on doing to him through my head.

Axel was smirking too, looking on through my eyes.

Izzy cocks her head to the side and looks at me as her eyes glow.

Elder Johnson’s eyes grow wide as he watches Puna come closer and become one with Izzy.

Puna was quick; she grabbed Elder Johnson by the throat and squeezed. I can see her claws something through.

The mark on his face that was taking much of his face was now gone as Izzy held his throat.

Puna’s claw comes through his throat with one swift, as she pulls out his throat and blood splatters all over her.

Elder Johnson’s lifeless body drops to the ground. I look at my mate, but before I can say anything to her.

There was a scream, which sent shivers down my spine. I knew that scream coming from the side of us, and I looked up to be met by a vampire. His eyes were blood red, and it covered his face in blood.

But I look at him. But it is the girl he has under his arm. Her eyes look at me with fear in them.

“DADDY,” Allie screams.

I growl loud, and I can feel Axel take over.

I could feel the vampires charging towards us, but I had one goal: to get Allie. The vampire that was holding her kept his eyes staring at me.

Axel is in complete control and pushes me back as we shift into our wolf’s form again. Axel bounds towards him, taking every vampire in our path, but I spot soft black fur on one side of me, but the scent hits me hard that comes from the other side of me. But the anger and pure rage that runs through our bond tells me that Izzy is out for blood.

A black wolf, the same size as me, charges ahead, taking out every vampire it has before me, but there are too many vampires around; they come at us with more power and force.

Hundreds were trying to stop us from getting to get to Allie.

“I will get the kids,” comes a voice through a mind link, and more wolves join us. Everyone is trying to get to the kids; I can see my father tear open rogue after rogue and vampires. Dale is near his mate Lena, who uses her magic against everyone as they run towards where we are heading. Kacey and Charley are close by, as I can hear her shout through another link she has opened for Dale and me.

“Blake, you need to stop him,” she yells. But something hits me hard.

Where the hell are Todd and Kat?

The vampire stares at me but smirks like he knows what I’m thinking. But his eyes grow wide as I can see a grey wolf slip through all the vampires and realize that it is Graham. He pounces on the vampire, and he drops Allie and Archer. Allie goes to run, but two vampires grab her.

I can feel Izzy’s power building up within her.

I glanced over to where she was, and she was ripping every vampire’s heart out when they came towards her. She was using all her strength.

I glance back and see Graham holding his own against the vampire.

I notice space and charge straight into a group of vampires as Axel uses his strength against them all.

Our alpha aura slips through, which makes me feel powerful or something.

“It’s mate,” says Axel. “She draws from our emotions, including our alpha aura.”

“We need to kill the vampires that got our Allie,” I say as I head towards the circle formed around the vampire and the children. They were making sure we couldn’t get through, but then I saw her.

I glance as I see where she was heading.

The vampires part and let her in as they hold their own. She watches what’s happening within the circle.

Graham was on top of the vampire, still in wolf form, but the witch uses her power and strikes Graham down. He lands on top of the vampire, who rolls him off.

Graham shifted back into his human form but struggled to get up.

The witch gets closer to him and looks towards the side of me.

I can’t help but glance as I watch Izzy staring at her.

The vampire grabs Graham and holds him in place, on his knees in front of him as the witch holds up the blade to his throat.

Graham stares at Izzy as a tear slides down his face.

“I love you all,” he mouths as the witch slides the blade across his throat.

“NNNNOOOO...” screams Dale and Kacey together.
